The perfect place- cozy and comfortable very clean! Quick drive to University of Virginia campus- awesome neighborhood (we felt very safe). Tastefully decorated and supplied with everything that we needed; the bed was so comfortable!! The back yard was awesome! We hope to stay here again!
Host with communication was excellent! We enjoyed the quaint cottage and walking the quiet neighborhood with our fur baby. There is a nearby park too! The house was clean and stocked with most of the things we needed for our short visit! Thank you for opening your home to us!
This house is so welcoming! It is decorated beautifully and very well-stocked! The beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of towels and extra sheets/blankets/pillows. The location is ideal! We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home!
Everything was incredible about this property. The location was excellent and convenient to UVa and downtown C’Ville. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dog to call her own for the week. Would stay here again!
Beautiful neighborhood and close to downtown and campus. The fenced yard worked very well with our dog. Well equipped kitchen and cosy couches and beds. Backyard coffee in the morning was a treat with all the birds. Abbey was very responsive.
This house was a perfect home base for our summer visit to Charlottesville. It sits in a nice neighborhood close to campus, shopping, and the historic downtown district.
This home is warm and welcoming, with the comfort and character of a nicely appointed older home. Location is very convenient, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.
Check in was easy. The host is easy to communicate with and works to solve problems. The property is very nice and was very clean. Location is close to everything in Charlottesville, but is on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. A perfect place to see Charlottesville and UVA while having a quiet relaxing place to return to after!
The property was just as described (as other reviewers noted, the outside could use a little TLC and paint), but step inside and the cottage was cozy and well equipped. It was perfect for our needs and the location was ideal. Abbey was communicative before and throughout our stay. If we find ourselves in Charlottesville in the future, we would definitely stay here again.
My goddaughter and I spent the weekend there to visit friends and family. We both lived there at one time, and enjoyed seeing all the special places we remember. Loved the house. Had everything we needed. Great location. Would stay there again if we return.
Loved the house! Well-appointed and very comfortable, we felt right at home! Very quiet neighborhood and centrally located for everything we needed. Yard was great for the dogs. Communication with Abbey was great! Would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed last Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and so we decided to repeat the trip. The house is well furnished and sits within a nice neighborhood not far from U Va and shopping.
Loved the quaint street and location. Loved the decor. Very walkable. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well supplied. TV room was great. Heater helped with chilly nights. Exterior needs a little TLC but didn’t take away from our fun stay.
Perfect house while in town for UVA Final Exercises
We rented this house a year in advance for our stay over UVA graduation weekend. Abbey, the owner, was very easy to work with and always answered my questions promptly. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed - nicely decorated with a well-stocked kitchen and two sitting areas in a great residential neighborhood not too far away from Grounds. We knew that the bars and restaurants would be mobbed during this weekend, so the house served as a perfect place to host a small gathering with friends and family to celebrate my daughter's UVA graduation. The yard (have your choice of a front or back yard) was a perfect place to entertain everyone.
Abbey's place worked well for our graduation stay. It is an older property with beautiful solid wood furniture and a comfy feel in a quiet neighborhood about 1.5 miles from UVA. All the amenities are as noted in the listing. The beds were comfortable (not too soft) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Abbey's instructions were clear and she was very responsive when I had trouble logging onto the wifi. There is room to park 2 cars off the street to the left of the house, and with a car UVA and downtown were easily accessible.
