Welcome to Aurora House! Named after the Northern Lights, the house is stunningly appointed with beautiful lighting creating the perfect soothing sanctuary after an action packed day in the mountains.

Aurora House is one of the newest homes on the mountain, featuring the latest in mountain modern design and architecture. Wall-to-wall windows means the house is filled with natural light and gorgeous views of Columbia River Valley and Kicking Horse can be enjoyed from all parts of the house.

With 4000 square feet of living space spread over three floors, the house comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests (maximum 13 adults). The main floor has a living room, chef’s kitchen, huge deck, dining room, garage, laundry room and powder room. The kitchen features state of the art appliances including a Viking fridge, 6 burner Bertazzoni stove and Bosch dishwasher. From the dining room, access the deck that spans the width of the home where there is a grill and patio furniture.

The lower floor has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, media room, gas fireplace, wet bar and wine fridge and access to private 6 person hot tub. The two bedrooms each have queen beds and large closets. The media room features a giant projector screen with accent theatre lighting and surround sound. There are two large sofas that convert to double beds.

The upper floor has 3 bedrooms, small office nook, 2 bathrooms and a sitting room. The master bedroom suite is luxurious with a king bed looking out to the mountain through wall to wall windows, private deck, a giant walk-in closet, ensuite 4 piece bathroom. The second bedroom features a queen bed with large closet. The third bedroom features a bunk bed with two single bunks, large closet and a Juliet balcony. The bathroom is just off the entrance to the two bedrooms. The sitting area features a 48 inch flat screen TV and sofa that converts into a comfortable double bed.

The garage has racks for skis and snowboards and a boot dryer to ensure your boots, gloves and hats are ready to go for the next day.

Aurora House is conveniently located on Columbia Valley View Drive which means all amenities are a short walk/ski/ride away. The home is ski-in and the base area is easily accessed via an 180m walk to the ski trail. A “secret” trail at the back of the house allows guests to hightail it to Kicking Horse’s best spa or enjoy a top-notch dinner at Jefferies.
Video cameras are in use at the entrance and exterior of the home and may include the outside deck and under deck area including the hot tub. These devices are only used for security and will not invade guest privacy.
