Place was super clean, bed was super comfortable and great location. Love how close we were to everything but far enough away where it was quiet. Only took 10 minutes to get to the beach and all the shops. The host was amazing to deal with. Highly recommend! We wanted to extend our stay one more day to enjoy the beach and she made it simple to allow for that! Will definitely stay again for her birthday next year!

Everything was great, my only issue would have been the lack of curtains especially in the bedroom as once the sun came up it would light up the room too much and wake us up.

I was very disappointed with my "lakeside" stay near Ocean Beach. It is not lakeside, there is a tidal slough a block or so away, fenced off from the public. And it's a stretch to call the location "Ocean Beach." Google Maps call the neighborhood Temecula Heights. It's about a 45 minute walk to the beach, not 20 minutes as advertised. The unit is accessed through a rusted out screen door, then up a narrow stairway that was quite dirty. The apartment appears to be furnished in thrift store cast offs, and a number of window screens were broken or missing. The paint on the kitchen cabinets was peeling off. There is parking, but if the other unit in the building is occupied you have to drive over the curb to access it. The internet was slow, and quit entirely the last two days of my stay. The apartment is located directly under the flight path of the nearby airport, so expect very loud jet airliners to pass overhead every couple of minutes between 6:30am and 11:30pm. To be fair, the major systems worked fine. The toilet flushed, the hot water was hot, and the kitchen was serviceable, as long as you watched out for paint chips. I never leave negative reviews, but folks should be aware that this place has some real issues.

Point Loma Cottage

The neighborhood was less than desirable, There were men on the backside of the property drinking around a trash can with a fire in it, It was intimidating for my husband and I. We're in our 70's. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We brought in a blowup mattress for the last couple of days and left a day early.

The unit is bit rundown. Clean, but the sofa in the living room needs more vacuuming, sand in the crease. The photo shows a grey colored sofa, but it’s actually dark blue sofa. We were told by the host there will be ground coffee provided, there was none. The spice cabinet pretty stocked up. The place was fine for our short stay.
