About Debra W. Elliott
The property was originally owned by Herbert Lee Waterfield. An avid duck hunter and fisherman, Herbert Lee was well-known for his generosity and larger-than-life presence. He was never afraid to improve upon what he had: he reclaimed two of the three acres of open land on the Waterfield grounds, and left the remaining swamp and marshland for wildlife habitat. His idea to turn the garage to a picnic area led to many years of cookouts and happy memories for his family. The house has now passed to a new generation, and we keep Herbert Lee's memories and ideals in mind with the Waterfield Place. Much of the hunting paraphernalia in the home belonged to Herbert Lee, and if you ask around you'll find many locals still remember him. We live up to the ideal of always improving, so we strive to make the Waterfield Place the most efficient, most comfortable getaway in the area.

Fun family vacation
Excellent property for a great family vacation. Only 15 minutes to public beach parking in Kitty Hawk. Had a fun time utilizing the huge yard for family games and fishing in the pond. House is well stocked and has beds for up to 8 people. Debra very helpful and available for any questions you have. Would definitely stay again next time vacation takes us to the Outer Banks.
Home Away from Home
Gorgeous property and Debra and Ken were hospitable and accommodating! Thank you!
The home and property are beautiful and very clean. It is located on a pretty busy street, yet still serene. Getting out of the driveway at certain hours can be tricky do to traffic volume or traffic speed. It is definitely a value and the manager is very nice.
We’ll kept and very comfortable!
