Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Slovene Alpine Valleys, the Valley of the Radovna River is the meeting point of two glacial valleys, Kot and Krma. The whole area is part of the Triglav National Park natural preserve. The visitors who come to admire its beauty are mostly the ones that are longing for peace and fresh air. The valley is also very popular among cyclists, since a cycling trail runs through it, which is also suitable for families. During your journey, you will discover the rich natural and cultural heritage. Among natural peculiarities are ridged meadows and the few hundred years old Gogala linden tree. The stunning artificial lake Kreda is embraced by an idyllic forest. Old homesteads, such as the Pocar homestead, tell the life stories of people who once lived in this area. Mills and sawmills once operated by the river, such as the preserved Psnak's sawmill and mill and Miha’s castle mill. According to popular testimony, Napoleon's army crossed the valley, of which Napoleon’s stone bears witness. The nearby village of Mojstrana has always been associated with mountaineering. Since Mojstrana is located at the entrance to the Triglav National Park, three beautiful alpine valleys lead from here into the heart of the Julian Alps. The Krma valley offers the easiest access to Triglav, the Kot valley enchants with silence, and Vrata surprises with the Peričnik Waterfall and the mighty Triglav North Face.
