About this property

This 1800 sq ft home was built by my father in the late 60's. Both of my parents have passed away and after a bad experience renting it long term, my husband, kids and myself decided to gut it right out to the outsdie walls and start over again. It has been over a two year process. We finished it Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 It is located 5 miles from the trail heads to many of the Adirondack High Peaks. It also only a 3 minute drive from Lake Placid. It faces the west and is sunset heaven. It also has awesome views of the Adirondacks from the bottom of the driveway.

Wonderful!

Beautiful vintage log cabin! The attention to detail in renovating this cabin was amazing! So much history in the house. Very clean and bed very comfortable. U get noise from I-73, but does not affect sleep! Make sure u walk over to Adk-LOJ for amazing views!

Wonderful

Truly wonderful! Thank you for working hard to get the wifi up! We were able to work remotely while our kids were at camp. It worked out wonderfully! Home is really spotless and has a very cool vibe.

Have lived in Lake Placid all my life. I own a bed and breakfast inside the village. When my work load lets up, I like to hike or ski and a good book is a great way to relax.

Why they chose this property

The property this house sits on have been in my family since 1866. I lived inside Lake Placid until I was 15 when we moved into this house. I love coming out of my driveway and seeing the different moods of the mountains and the sunsets.

What makes this property unique

The area is very quiet, beautiful and as i have mentioned above you can never get enough of the sunsets. Plus even though it is 3 miles out of town it is not that far from all the local activities.
