Thank you for the review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to host you again in the future. Cheers, Evolve Team
I don’t think I’ve ever found such a perfect cabin to stay in ever. It was so clean, close to market and Tahoe itself….the beautiful furniture and decor was very rustic and I’m so gonna be back next year. Makes a beautiful home away from home plus it’s very quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub almost nightly which made it relaxing also. 5 stars are nearly not enough for how this vacation was for us. I HIGHLY recommend it

From the Owner: "WOW, I’m so glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay. I look forward to your return."
The cabin was cozy and totally met our needs.
The owner needs a new cleaning service though, as several things were not clean to the point of being truly gross. If this were not the case, I would have given it 5 stars all around.

Wonderful escape
This cabin was perfect for our family traveling with 3 young kids. The location was great! A nice, quiet neighborhood and only 10-minute short drive to ‘town.’ The cabin was immaculately clean, hot tub was super convenient, gas grill easy to operate and cookout during our trip. The homeowner was incredibly friendly, easy to contact, and communicated as needed. Our family was grateful to escape 100 deg temps of Texas to this cool, serene, comfortable getaway. Highly recommend and hope to return!
We totally enjoyed this cute little cabin! It had a cozy gas fireplace that kept us warm at nights, and the hot tub was definitely a plus. There's only a couple of things I would mention...many vrbo's we stay in supply basic hygiene needs like soap, shampoo and conditioner. This cabin only offered a few hotel sample sizes, so be sure to bring your own! You also plan to supply your own plastic wrap or foil for the kitchen. Also for winter visitors, the driveway can stay fairly icy, so it's helpful to have 4 wheel drive. Loved the location! We had a wonderful stay!

Sweet Cozy Cabin!
Our family of four spent Thanksgiving at this sweet log cabin in Tahoe. It was exactly what we were looking for to get away from it all. All the amenities were there including fast wifi, a cozy gas fireplace and a hot tub. We loved all the rustic, forest-themed decor. There was snow when we arrived and temps got down to 0 but we were snug and warm in our little hideaway. The cabin was very clean (I am very picky) and well taken care of. The owner checked in via email often to make sure we were comfortable. Though we did not bring a pet, pets are allowed. However there was no evidence of any dog smell. Loved it and would definitely come back again!

Cozy cabin for weekend of skiing
Smokey's Den was just what we needed for a few days hitting the slopes in Kirkwood. Only a few small things that could be improved. 5 stars!
Pros:
Hot tub is well kept up: clean, heats properly, working jets, etc.
Multiple bathrooms with good heat and water pressure.
Furniture is reasonably comfy.
Close to both Heavenly and Kirkwood.
Cons:
Kitchen gadgets are a little old/not great -- coffee maker clogged, toaster toasts unevenly/sets off the fire alarm.
The lighting was a little funky -- no switch for the den table, stairwell light had to be on for the bathroom light to work.
Smokey's Den is a great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe, it's in a quiet neighborhood. The place. was tidy, we enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was adequately stocked, the owner left a bottle of wine for us, Thank You!! We would stay again.
Beautiful cabin😍 Everything was so nice and well decorated. But the house needs a bit more cleaning it has alot of spiders webs and we did killed a few spiders, since I took my kids with me they were a little scared of the spiders.
I don’t understand why they charge a good amount of money for the “service” when they have a sing/ poster inside giving you instructions on how you should leave everything how it was once you enter and to put everything you used the washer/dryer , dishes bed everything! Do I just did the service they charge me for !!?

Location is good but needs good cleaning service
Location is good and close by for many activities. Owner responded quickly to all our questions / needs which is appreciative. However the house needs good cleaning service . Lot of places in cabin are not thoroughly cleaned . Also lighting inside cabin could have been better .

Hi Charles, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
We have talked with our cleaning crew to ensure that this issue does not recur for future travelers. Our cleaners have instructions to clean up to Covid-19 standards and we are sorry that something was missed. We love the location too and can't wait to see you again!
We enjoyed our stay and the cabin is a convenient drive to a number of kid friendly activities including sledding, mini golf, and the Heavenly gondola. The rental has everything you need to eat and relax although we found the beds to be rather uncomfortable.
It was a beautiful location, and well kept. My wife and I had a fantastic, relaxing getaway. Close to the lake and also to the trails to run. Everything was quite literally perfect, and everything we could have imagined. Already can’t wait to come back again!
We loved Smokie’s Den! It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable; the kitchen was abundantly furniture with cooking implements of all kinds and spices; the wall heater and fireplace provided all the warmth required; very roomy for our family of five. We loved it and will return. Thank you Kendra!

Cozy and comfortable
We needed extra space for a family gathering over the New Year holiday and Kendra's place worked out perfectly. It was cozy, comfortable, and convenient. The location is great; quiet, woodsy, nearby hiking trails, and a short drive to restaurants, shops, and breweries. Thanks, Kendra!
This cabin home was so very perfect. The location is a short bit from town in a pleasant quiet neighborhood. It was very nice to be out of the hectic center of town but easy to get to it. It was like a retreat. There’s beautiful walking trails close to the house. The beds are comfy. The kitchen was so well equipped for all of the many holiday meals we made there. The living room and dining room accommodated our evenings so well. It had everything we needed and we had a wonderful family time!

Perfect Cute and cozy log cabin!
We really enjoyed this cabin it is decorated so cute with the Bear theme and it was perfectly located. The hot tub is great to have! The kitchen was very nice and clean with nice matching dishes. We didn't bring dogs, but it's nice to have that option. Dishwasher doesn't lock closed that easily but we got it to work just fine. We left the fans on upstairs and windows open to keep it from getting stuffy. We really loved this place and would highly recommend for small groups!
