Wonderful stay in a quiet, river front neighborhood with husband and daughter’s family. The house was just as listed, clean and with all of the amenities needed. Clean, with comfortable beds. Very conveniently located to downtown and parks. Wonderful view of the Spring River where we saw ducks, heron and an osprey. Great communication with the owner. A great experience.
From the pre stay communication to the final check out process this stay was a breeze. All aspects of the rental process were smooth and clearly communicated through the homeowner.
Clean home with all the amenities one would need in a stay, my personal favorite touch were the board games and bathroom items some may not always prepare for such as a makeup towel! Very organized and well thought out.
Beautiful property and view, and quite friendly neighbors! Some may not enjoy the sound of the trains passing but personally our group loves trains, winds, and just the sound of the outdoors. The river provides a unique stay with the ability to sit out on the deck, or directly in front of the river front.
The home itself is beautiful on the inside with all modern/industrial/costal vibes. All rooms were very welcoming, and we instantly felt at home.
We had a wonderful stay, and a great communicative host!

About the host

Growing up in the area I knew I wanted this cabin when it hit the market. We bought it, renovated it pretty extensively with all new flooring, paint, appliances, washer/dryer, hot water heater, brand new kitchen items and used some of my most loved furniture for the space. I like being a host because I want people to experience the area and the things I love. We can't always be here, so when we aren't, we want the ability for others to enjoy it.
Why they chose this property
I grew up in this area and always knew I wanted a cabin on the river. The location can't be beat. It is within walking distance to main street, Loberg Park, Hardy beach is across the river and all the shops along Main Street in Hardy make it so fun! Not to mention the grocery store is great, the Drafthouse has wonderful food and live music and great bbq is just up on the hill. I am an interior designer and real estate broker. Every detail is thought about when I work on projects like this one. I stay here personally with my family, so I want to love it and be comfortable when we are at the cabin. I hope you love it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
There are only 2 cabins I am aware of on the river that have lofts. This is one of them. Other than the knotty pine ceilings, stairs and trim, the loft is my favorite feature of this cabin. The vaulted ceilings make the cabin feel bigger than it is and the loft gives a separation of space to allow for additional guests and for people to work, rest or just take a break in their own space. I also love the location on the river. The water is shallow and easily accessed from the bank or from the boat ramp that is private to the residents. Hardy beach is across the river on the right side so the proximity to that is also nice. We spared no expense when updated this cabin. We still have work we want to do, but like all things, good things take time. We have added many upgrades and amenities that aren't always found in a river cabin, which also makes it more desireable for travelers that like the luxuries of home when they are staying somewhere else.
