We really enjoyed the cabin. The place was very clean and looked as shown in the photos. We were surprised to find no wash clothes with our towels, but managed without them. We couldn't get the fire place to start on Saturday morning and were discouraged when our voice mail was not returned. The hot tub was very nice, but we didn't use it when it rained because there isn't a roof covering it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are grateful it is a pet friendly property so our dog could be with us. Everything was provided in the cabin. It is close to everything but far enough off Wears Valley Road so that we could enjoy complete quiet in the woods and get away.
This was the perfect place for us to stay. Great location to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove and Clingman’s Dome. It was clean, comfortable and a great home away from home.

The most comfortable cabin that we have ever stayed in. It had a loveseat with recliners on both ends, a great bed, and a huge walk-in shower!

Excellent cabin, very comfy and cozy. Excellent location for visits to the Smoky Mountains. The hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge is not my style, this place and location definitely was! Would highly recommend.
Nicely Decorated, Comfortable Bed, close to attractions and Mountains. Saw momma bear and her cubs. We had so much fun lost track of days

We stayed for 5 days and loved every minute of it. The cabin was beautiful and met all of our expectations. The washer/dryer unit was an unexpected perk that was wonderful. The property is quiet, well maintained and close enough to town to make it the perfect getaway.

It means a lot to us that we could contribute to making your first vacation in five years so special, especially after the challenges you’ve faced.
We’re truly sorry to hear about your husband’s accident, and it’s wonderful to know that the cabin provided a bit of ease and comfort during your stay. We hope the bears you saw at Smoky Mountain Park brought a touch of excitement and joy to your trip.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the future and wish you both continued healing and happiness. Safe travels and take care!
We absolutely loved our stay on our honeymoon at Playing Hooky. It had everything we needed to either stay in and be cozy, or relax after a long day out and about. The bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was so luxurious. The only issue we had was the lack of total privacy in the bathroom, due to the open spaces in the upper walls. We worked around it though and had a wonderful stay!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your honeymoon stay at Playing Hooky and found it cozy and well-equipped for both relaxation and adventure. We're especially glad that you appreciated the comfort of the bed and the luxury of the walk-in shower. We appreciate your feedback regarding the bathroom privacy, and we’ll certainly consider it as we look for ways to improve. We're delighted you had a wonderful stay overall, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience in the future!
Great little cabin for two. We enjoyed the walk-in shower and the hottub. We didn't have to drive far into Pigeon Forge to get to the grocery store or attractions. Somewhat secluded with other cabins up the hill.
The deck would of been more appealing with the weeds/grass cut around it and the little creek cleaned up a bit, that's our only negative.
Overall, we loved the cabin, and will book again!

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Playing Hooky for your anniversary trip! We appreciate your feedback and apologize our lawn care service was behind schedule. We appreciate you and are delighted to hear you will return again. Please be sure to mention to us you are a repeat guest so we may apply a discount to any future stays.
Property was very cute and cozy! The only complaint I have which isn’t really a complaint is that I wish they had extra toilet paper and trash bags ready for us. If you need something extra you have to drive to their office and pick it up, would be nice if they dropped that off on porch or something! Other than that it was very nice stay!

Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that you found the property cute and cozy. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the extra supplies; we’re always looking for ways to improve our guests’ experiences, and we’ll definitely consider your idea of delivering additional items to the porch. Thanks again for your valuable input, and we hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future!
We loved the cabin. It was in the perfect location and not too far up into the mountains. If you’re looking for something quiet this is the place for you. The only complaint we have is regarding a storm that came through that knocked out the power to our cabin. While we understand Mother Nature is out of our control, the lack of concern the rental company had was disheartening. We had a couple come to the cabin next to us who got forced out by weather and placed next to us. The rental company was aware of the power outage. They could have reached out to us to check in but I had to reach out to them. If you are looking for above and beyond customer service this is not the place for you. Despite the storm issues, we would stay here again as everything else was perfect! The only other thing I would change is adding chairs to the front porch of the cabin.

We are delighted to hear you loved the cabin, and that you would stay here again! We are so sorry Mother Nature chose your area of the woods to wreak havoc during your stay and that fallen trees on the power line caused a power outage. We were relocating the couple next door due to a plumbing problem and that's when we first learned of the outage in your area. We are glad you communicated with our after-hours emergency contact who advised there were approximately 300 homes without power in your area and that the power company forecasted it would take an additional 1 1/2 hours for the repair. We also enjoyed the nice communication with you via text as you departed for home. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will return to stay again in the future!
