About this property
Mountain View Getaway
Welcome to Mountain View Getaway, a romantic escape in Fairbanks, Alaska. Revel in stunning mountain views from this retreat designed for couples. Experience culinary delights in the fantastic kitchen and unwind in the luxurious master bathroom. Perfect for honeymooners or two couples, embrace the tranquility and beauty of Fairbanks, where every moment is a cherished memory. Your unforgettable Mountain View Getaway awaits.
Quiet hilltop neighborhood with mountain views and frequent aurora visits. We have a dog sled tour company just down the road and walking trails right from the home. Chena River State Recreation Area is a short driving distance away, and Chena Hot Springs is approximately an hour drive. Both Fairbanks and North Pole are about a 15 minute drive.
Plenty of parking at the home. The driveway is up a bit of a hill, so in the winter 4x4 or all wheel drive is recommended. Feel free to walk our roads and designated trails out from the back yard.
Please remove shoes when you enter.
Make yourselves at home! Take a load off and get cozy.
We ask that you don’t use metal utensils in the cookware and please do not cut on the counters or the wood top island. Please turn the hood on when you use the stove. Also be aware that this gas stove cooks very hot. There are grease screens in the top drawer under the stove, please use these to cut down on splatter.
Please throw food and coffee grounds in the trash, not the drain- as we do not have a garbage disposal.
No wood, pans, or sharp knives in the dishwasher.
Only TP down the toilets, no sanitary products and no flushable wipes please.
Please use the squeegee in the glass doors after showering as we get tough water marks.
If using the futon, it’s easier to lower it into a bed with two people. You need to pull it away from the wall and each place a hand on the top and one hand on the bottom and lift up and out on the bottom half. Guide it down gently and you are set once it’s flat. You sort of reverse the motion to put it back upright. Place one hand in the cushion fold as you push the bottom in and pull on the top in one swift motion. You will hear and feel it lock into place. There are queen size sheets, a comforter, and extra pillows in the bedroom closet.
