Ideal for families ,1 km from the nearest beach, 20 min drive from Ranch Sofiko for kids activities,a nice spot for discovering Peloponnese. 20 min drive to suburban railway station line directly from International Airport to Corinth.
5 min drive from the seaside town of Almiri to do your shopping, with ATM, restaurants,chemist.
Also an extra 15 € environmental tax fee is applied per night according to Greek law and collected upon arrival.

This is a small family business, we live in the basement and are always available and as helpfull and discreet as possible.Our space has a different entrance and garden so privacy for both parties is our priority.

Excellent!

The host is very welcoming and friendly! Perfect communication and top service! She even drove us to a local restaurant when we couldn't find the way. Clean and spacious house, we were there in the middle of a heat wave but it was no hassle keeping it cool. Would reccomend!

Our first stay in Greece

We have really appreciate the kindness of the owner and his family. The house was perfectly clean and Maria gave us a lot of interesting advice. We were surprised to discover that they were living in the same house just below and we had the strange feeling that the family gave us its main house. Another point is that you really need a car if you stay there : just one beach is a 15 minutes walk away and even for the daily bread, you have to take the car. We enjoyed to visit Epidaurus, Corinth, Nafplio, Mycenes, Athen and an excellent restaurant in Nafplio called Alaloum, which was recommended by the owner. A nice place to rest, thank you Maria !

Just a further clarification about this property is that the owners different flat is on the ground floor and there are two different gardens one for the owner and one for our guests so they can have their own private moments. Perfect family home with the perfect host.

We spent 8 nights in Katakali with our 21 month old daughter. Never have we stayed in a property that ticked so many boxes for children. It had everything you could ever need which made our stay that much more relaxing. Maria was a wonderful host. Warm and very helpful. You must try the local bakery she recommends and the fabulous Taverna up the road (Zouganelis) The food there was so good and the owner was a lovely man. The local beach is pebble so it suited us with a young child as it was easier to clean her but there are sandy beaches in the vicinity if you are willing to drive a short distance. Another must see spot is Lake Vouliagmeni in the Loutraki area. It's ideal for young swimmers as the water is calm and very shallow and it helps that the setting is beautiful. If your a history buff the property is ideally situated for Ancient Corinth and Epidavros and is within an hour of Nafplio. I thoroughly recommend this property to those with children or to those who want a laid back break in a convenient spot to explore the North Eastern Peloponnese

A lovely retreat for a multi-generational get away!

The Kid & Holiday house was what we dreamed about. The group was an active 2-year old, the 2 parents, and 2 grand parents with mild mobility issues. We stayed there for 2 weeks in July. What we were looking for (and got 150%) is a place where an active toddler can be entertained without necessarily having to go out all the time, parents can enjoy too, and that grandparents also find relaxing, pleasant and accessible. Starting from the house itself: it was large, clean, practically organized, and fully furnished. Not just for adults, but for children too. The kids room had beautiful paintings on the wall, a collection of toys and books, bunk beds, plus the option to sleep on a floor mattress which we opted for since that's what our child does at this age. We appreciated that all spaces were either child proof already, or prepared with young children in mind. Maria kindly gave us extra power outlet covers, there were few to no breakable objects around, and the staircase had child gates at both ends. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the kitchen clean and stocked. Maria is thoughtful, with things like a medicine cabinet with first aid stuff, and responsive to whatever we needed. Since that's just a review and not the listing, we won't list all amenities, but we will say that having a stroller available was a life-saver at times. The outdoor is a big asset to the house: big yard where our toddler ran around a lot, with slides, a swing, and plenty of space.

Wonderful Stay for a Family of 7 near the Peloponnese Peninsula Isthmus

We are a family of 7 (Mom and Dad, plus 5 kids ages 13 down to 4) and this 4-bedroom home near Corinth on the Peloponnese Peninsula was a great place to spend 4 days exploring the area in December. You need a vehicle due to the more remoteness of this property, but it is not too far from stores and restaurants. We highly recommend this property and Maria and her husband. They live in the 'basement' level of the home, so are available. We based on choice of this property on location first (we wanted to be near Corinth to give us opportunities to go East or West from the Isthmus), then on amenities (beds, washer-dryer, outside space for kids, common room space, kitchen, parking). The pictures provided and video of the home did it justice, providing us a great idea of what was offered, and helped us make the decision. (Previous reviews also were very helpful.) The house, rooms, and outside descriptions and images matched our expectations and what we saw on arrival. After selecting the house, the owner/landlord, Maria, quickly establish contact with us, and maintained fantastic contact through our stay including detailed directions to her house, meeting us on arrival, and seeing us off as we departed. We could ask nothing more from her communication. She also provided bottled water, and basic groceries (milk, etc) when we arrived. Since we used this as a base for lots of travel, we did not spend much time at the house, usually departing by 8am and returning after 6pm each day. The Washer/Dryer was critical for our clothes washing (we were on the road for a total of 14 days, with this the only W/D we had access to). The kitchen had everything we needed to fix breakfast and dinner when we were home. There are plenty of nearby grocery stores (short drive of 5km or so), and other local amenities (many were closed over the winter) we drove to as necessary. This gave a good base to visit Athens, Ancient Olympia, Ancient Corinth, Nafplio, and several other locations in southern Greece (yes, we drove a lot!). Maria has maps and other materials available, as well as good wi-fi to do research on locations and if asked, she will provided some wonderful input on places to go (we went to Nafplio because she recommended it). Overall, a great place to stay and was very comfortable for our large family. Everyone had a bed, with our 4 boys sharing two rooms, and our daughter in her own room, (Mom and Dad had a wonderful suite).

Family Friendly

Our entire family came to stay at the house, 3 generations including young kids. The house was clean and spacious. We arrived in the middle of the night and Maria was there to show us around. Having four bedrooms gave everyone the privacy they needed. In addition there was a fenced in backyard, complete with tree house and sand box, beach chairs, a complete kitchen stocked with good pots and pans to cook food, and a dish washer to clean up. There was also a washing machine, a must when traveling with young kids! The property is 4-6 minutes by car to 3 gorgeous beaches, 15 minutes to walk to the nearest. Maria our landlady was helpful in recommending places to see in the area. Our family really enjoyed staying there and I highly recommend it for a family friendly stay!

Sehr geräumige, großzügige Wohnung mit Garten, ruhig gelegen, Erholung pur. Sehr gepflegt und sauber, die Vermieter wohnen in einer Etage unterhalb. Maria als Vermieterin ist eine unglaublich nette und unkomplizierte Person, sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, auch als wir mit mehrstündiger Verspätung erst nachts ankamen. Völlig problemlose Buchung und Abwicklung, prompte Antworten auf E-Mails. Wenn man nicht kochen möchte, kann man über Maria auch komplette warme Mahlzeiten bei einem befreundeten Ehepaar bestellen, die ins Haus geliefert werden. Phantastischer Service, wir haben alles in vollen Zügen genossen, griechische Gastfreundschaft pur. Danke Maria und danke an Evi für die tolle Homemade griechische Küche! Jederzeit gerne wieder, vollkommen empfehlenswert. Barbara

SEJOUR FORMIDABLE...COMME A LA MAISON!!!

Tout d'abord, un grand merci à Maria et son époux qui sont des hôtes d'exception. La maison est bien située, ce qui permet de combiner visite de nombreux sites ainsi que farniente. Elle est aussi très spacieuse et bien équipée, notre groupe comprenait 4 adultes, 5 enfants et nous étions très à l'aise. Ensuite, l'accueil réservé par Maria est digne d'un membre de la famille. Pour notre arrivée, elle avait acheté des petits gâteaux locaux + jus de fruits et une bouteille de vin. Elle nous a également donné des tomates bio du jardin de son papa! Après avoir discuté des détails de la location (dans un Anglais parfait), elle a proposé de faire un tour des environs afin de nous repérer (plages, distributeur, marché, restau...) ceci selon elle "afin de se sentir Grec durant une semaine". Maria habite à côté, elle est très disponible tout en restant extrêmement discrète. Durant notre séjour il a fait très chaud, avec son mari elle a spontanément mis à disposition une petite piscine pour nos enfants. Enfin, nous avons oublié une paire de lunettes dans la maison qu'elle a renvoyé directement chez nous. Nous voyageons régulièrement et pouvons vous assurer que c'est la MEILLEURE location jamais réservée!!!

Accueil très chaleureux

Katakali (environ 10 km de Corinthe) est un joli village à proximité de la mer: une petite plage est accessible à pied depuis la maison de Maria et à 2 km environ se trouve une jolie plage plus grande avec quelques restaurants. Maria nous a accueillis très chaleureusement avec boissons et pâtisseries, sa maison est spacieuse et impeccable, une grande terrasse avec des chaises longues permet de profiter du soleil au deuxième étage. Il y a aussi un jardin et une autre terrasse pour manger à l'extérieur. Nous aurions pu facilement y rester une journee de plus! Un grand merci à Maria ! N'hésitez pas à aller chez elle.....

Großes und komfortables Haus für die ganze Familie

Die Vermieterin kümmerte sich vor und während unseres Aufenthalts sehr herzlich um uns. Von Vorteil war, dass sie sehr gut Englisch spricht und so all unsere Fragen problemlos beantworten konnte. Sie fuhr mit uns auch am ersten Tag in der Umgebung des Hauses verschiedene Strände, Märkte und Tavernen an, um uns eine Orientierung und nützliche Tipps zu geben. Die Vermieter wohnen im Untergeschoss des Hauses, aber Zugänge und Gärten sind separat. Wir haben uns daher nie beeinträchtigt gefühlt, aber hatten immer sofort einen Ansprechpartner für Fragen. Die Abbilidungen und Beschreibungen in der Annonce entsprachen voll und ganz dem Objekt. In allen vier Schlafzimmern (zwei davon mit Klimaanlage) waren die Betten vorbereitet, sodass wir uns (5 Personen) nach eigenen Wünschen auf die Räume verteilen konnten. Sehr praktisch waren auch die drei Badezimmer im Haus. Auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Im Garten befindet sich ein Fußballtor, das unsere Jungs ausgiebig, wann immer wir zu Hause waren, nutzten. Auch die Lage des Hauses war für uns praktisch, denn wir unternahmen Ausflüge nach Korinth, Epidauros, Mykene, Nauplia und auch Athen. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

a very pleasant stay

We have been very nicely received in the house by its owner. The house was perfectly furnished, comfortable and clean, and everything was done to make us at ease. Well situated to go and see Athens, Corinth, Mycenes, Epidaure and other splendours. Most of all, the sea is pretty close, even on foot: no more than 20 minutes'walk. Very pleasant, thus.
