Great location to downtown Southport. You can walk to several shops and restaurants. The waterfront is a short drive. Located on a quiet street with a great porch to pass the time.
This place was so nice. It really had everything you could want. I have been spoiled. It was a nice neighborhood, nicely shaded with beautiful old trees, secure fenced in back yard, anything you would need in the kitchen, comfortable beds, fun area for families, and so on.
Very clean and comfortable accommodations. The furnishings are nice and comfortable. The house is not in the middle of town, but very close. We enjoyed the quiet and very easy walk to town. A nice little diner is a very quick stroll from this home. Owner was quick to reach out and welcome us.
This house was absolutely wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Most of the experiences were only a 2 minute ride or 10 min walk to activities. Strolling downtown and to the Southport Waterfront was amazing. There is plenty of historical sites to visit and all the people there are very nice. The restaurants were incredible with very good food. We fully intend to return to continue our journey and broaden our Historical Horizons. Thank You!
This house is amazing. Clean, spacious and peaceful. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he couldn't have been more kind. Sitting on the porch is amazing in the morning and evening's. Short walk to town with quaint shops and great restaurants. This is our second stay in this house and cant wait to return. You wont be disappointed staying here.
The house was absolutely adorable, very spacious, clean and well kept. Located in a quiet area, but still just a quick walk to Downtown Southport. Steve was very responsive in answering questions prior to booking. He was extremely accommodating and offered an early check-in and also offered late check-out due to severe weather. Will definitely be booking again in the future!
Had a wonderful time with family! Great location, friendly neighbors and just right for our group of 7. Great parking for 3 vehicles. We did leave an item behind and the owner contacted us immediately. We appreciated the communication!
We loved our stay at Southport Live Oak Cottage for a mother/daughter weekend. The host, John, thought of everything. The home is not only beautiful, it is very clean and includes thoughtful extras throughout. We loved the swing and rocking chairs on the front porch. The pool table offers extra fun too! Very close to everything. Within walking distance to Burney's sweets which offers amazing freshly made pastries. Waterfront is also a few blocks away. We especially enjoyed visiting the many shops and came home with lots of great finds.
Will definitely come back again!! Thank you, John. You are a wonderful host! 😊
If you’re looking for a home base to explore Southport and the surrounding area this this is the perfect place for you. The home is beautiful and perfectly located on a quiet tree-lined street easy walking distance from all of the shops, restaurants, galleries and museums in historic downtown. Easy checkin/checkout and great communication. And did I mention the pool table? Will definitely book here next time we visit the area!
