Located at the end of a private cul-de-sac, this tri-level home offers the best of Santa Barbara: city and ocean views, relaxation, and comfort. You’ll be within walking distance to the Santa Barbara Bowl and El Encanto where you can enjoy a gourmet meal and seasonal cocktail, and you’re just a short drive from Old Mission Santa Barbara and Botanic Gardens.
Admire the design of high angled ceilings, oak beams, numerous sliding glass doors, two sandstone fireplaces, and a largely open concept will all eyes on the balcony overlooking the water. Amateur and professional chefs alike will feel right at home with three Wolf ovens and a Sub-Zero refrigerator that’s complete with every cooking tool imaginable. The primary suite is fitted with a dedicated fireplace and private access to the infinity pool and spa downstairs. If you can’t escape work, an office area is set up in the loft making it easy to take care of business.

The property was the perfect vacation house and has a wonderful view.

The house was set up very nicely for 7 adults or 4 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen, family and dining rooms were wonderful centers of family gathering and there was plenty of space for people to find their own spot to read or hang out. Unfortuntately, no one had been to the property before our arrival to be sure the house was ready. The pool was not heated or cleaned and worst of all the heat wasn't operable in the downstairs for two days. The company was responsive to our requests for assistance with very nice maintenance people, however it required two days for the heat to come up through the floor.

Beauty Above Downtown Santa Barbara

Wonderful property in the hills just above Downtown Santa Barbara. Short trip to the Mission, downtown, hiking or to the beach. Great inside/out feel to the property since all back rooms open with large sliding glass doors to the decks. Nice play pool with a large, very comfortable hot tub. Quiet neighborhood location with lots of privacy. Would love to come back again!

We love our stay!! The house is very comfortable, space, charming and has an optimal energy! Kitchen is wonderful, fully equipped. Pool área is also great ! My only consideration is the absence of curtains, which takes away some of our privacy. And quality of Matress and bedding could be better. Our season was fantastic! o

Something for everyone!

We stayed here with a mix of adults and young children. This house offered something for everyone! The adults enjoyed an array of amenities from fully equipped kitchen (even a state of the art espresso machine!), incredible views, comfortable bedding, and amazing sound system all while the kids where have a blast in the pool and playing any one of the many games that was supplied in a closet full of toys and fun for the kids! This house is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to wind down and relax but close enough for a quick drive to shopping, beach, zoo, and many others that surround this beautiful area. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Awesome Tranqui-La

This house with its tremendous hilltop views of the Santa Barbara harbor and coastline was the perfect setting for my wife's surprise 60th birthday party. Our family thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities - huge, spacious kitchen, fantastic music sound system, hot tub, pool, etc. The modern architectural design, wide-open balconies, made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. Just a real special place.

An Amazing Home!

We stayed at Tranqui-La for 5 days during my daughter's destination wedding in SB and it will forever be a wonderful memory as part of the celebration. The architecture is one-of-a kind and views were spectacular. The house was luxuriously appointed. The kitchen was equipped for entertaining with two dish washers and extra fridge space. We had many guests during the 5-day stay and they all wanted a tour of this spectacular home. The salt-water pool was great for the kids. Beds were very comfortable. If we have another family rendezvous in SB, this will be our house of choice.
