Grab your family and go camping at CAMP MANATEE! This property is located on the wildlife-filled, Kings Bay canal. Fish right from the backyard, launch our kayaks or take your boat out scalloping. This backyard oasis is perfect for some
rest and relaxation or lots of activity. We are less than 3mi to downtown, shopping and all water activities.

This property is a hidden gem and a fun place to bring your family. We've decorated the home in a "camp-style" theme that will sure to be a hit with everyone.

*This home is one side of a duplex with complete privacy and fenced-in backyard. One shared space is right at the seawall to access the kayak ramp and launch.
*It is completely renovated with brand new kitchen, bath, windows, flooring, deck and even the seawall! We have TWO KING BEDS, a self-inflating air mattress and futon.

BOATING DISCLAIMER
The BOAT SLIP for this property is located on our vacant lot next door. Pontoons and flat bottom boats are best for our canal. There are two paths out to Kings Bay, one with a small bridge that tends to be deeper and one that has no bridge if you have a tall vessel. Tides high and lows need to be watched. Always go slow and watch for obstacles. We can accept boats up to 24'. Trailer parking is on the vacant lot next door.
All guests who bring or rent boats are solely responsible for the navigation, operation, and safety of their vessels. The property owners are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages incurred while using boats. Guests must comply with all local boating laws and regulations. Any damages caused by boats to the property or third parties are the sole responsibility of the guest.


ATTENTION PET OWNERS
If you would like to bring your furry friends(s) please inquire with host before booking. We would like to know weight and breed of dog. We do have a $125 pet fee. Please notify host and we will send you a separate invoice via email.
Pet rules are as follows: Do not allow your pet to sleep in our human beds. It is impossible to get pet hair out of the sheets. Do not allow your pet to wander into your neighbor's yard. Our backyard is fenced in on each side but open at the seawall. Pick up after your pet in the yard. What an unpleasant experience for the next guest to step in some poopy from your pet. Thank you!!

Guests will have access to whole 2/1 home which includes eat in kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, backyard including private boat slip and seawall. Back yard is fenced in on both sides with complete privacy, but open at seawall.

Safety
There is one step up to get into the house, a big "step-up" into the tub and big "step-down" out of the tub (a grab bar to assist but not to bear full weight is in place), and a step down off of the deck.
Please be mindful of the seawall. At low tide it can be a 6' or more drop off. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES IN THE BACKYARD. DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE.

PESTS
If you are visiting from out of state, Florida has pests!! Our property gets sprayed quarterly inside and out and is frequently checked for our pesky pests, but we cannot guarantee you will not encounter something inside the house. It is best to keep doors and windows closed when not in use.

Cameras
We use 2 motion activated video cameras on the outside of the house. One is in the back pointing out towards the yard and the other is near the front door pointing out towards the street. Our main reasons for this is to ensure safety of our guests and be aware of any illegal activity. It also allows us to be aware that all house services such as garbage and lawn are being maintained properly.

Very Cool Place!

We had a great stay at Camp Manatee. Very clean and cozy place in a quit neighborhood. We took the provided kayaks to three sisters springs and had a blast. It’s a fairly easy paddle getting there and is well worth the trip. Vicki is a very responsive host and we would definitely return!

The property was very clean and as advertised. All the advertised amenities were available and in good condition. The host provided youth kayaks for our stay and we had a great time. The kitchen is small, but we had everything we needed. Being on the waterway was a huge benefit and they had a dry bag available so we could take our phones out on the water. So nice! We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The owners have really thought of everything. Kayaks, fishing poles, games, even a cooler. It is on the canal with easy access to get to the scalloping grounds. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood!

Loved this place

The place was great. Practically everything is brand new. It’s cozy but has plenty of room for a small group. Outside area is great and we spent lots of time there. Short kayak to kings bay. And even saw a manatee in the canal behind the house. Neat little wooded area across the canal Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay.

We loved our time at Camp Manatee. My kids loved the backyard and didn’t want to leave. My boys (ages 12 and 14) had a fishing line in the water every chance they could, but only caught one bass, a few cat fish and some crabs. They wanted to stay and fish more than go into town and do the usual tourist activities. During low tide even my 8 year old daughter had fun catching little crabs. We used the kayaks to go fishing out in the bay, see manatees at kings springs and explore the canal and other areas. My family is already begging to go back again soon.

Everything about this VRBO is perfect. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a getaway is right there. The outside seating and deck along with the fire pit make for perfect evenings listening to music and enjoying the view. The water access is awesome! We brought our own paddleboards and enjoyed many hours in King’s Bay viewing the beautiful manatees!! Our host was incredibly friendly and very responsive. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The host thought of everything!

We had such a wonderful time on this trip! The house was wonderful, it had everthing we could possibly need and more. Super cozy and beautiful view right on the canal. We saw manatees, mullet jumping out of the water and lots of birds. The kayaks that were provided were fun and a short kayak trip to plenty of swimming areas. I loved that the host had privided fishing poles, starter for the fire, bug spray, games, sunscreen, towels and even popcorn and hot chocolate! We had a great experience and will be back for sure!

This property is serene and fun! It is located on a quiet, wildlife-filled canal just off of Kings Bay. We have a new boat slip and kayak ramp making it easy to visit your favorite springs and not too far to get out to the gulf for deep sea fishing. Our property has a privacy fence on both sides to enjoy your cookout, games or firepit with family.
