We loved our stay. The house was very clean and quite charming. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the outdoor shower, the large porch, and the fire pit. We will definitely rent it again!

This rental was a perfect weekend getaway for my wife and I. With an abundance of games also offered (shuffle board, ring & hook, connect 4 wallboard, etc.), we're thinking about bringing our kids back with us next year. It's also located extremely close to the beach. We didn't experience any issues during our stay!

We loved our stay at the gray sandcastle! Short walk down the driveway to the beach great location. Tons of linens provided. Great amenities including beach chairs. Fun space with shuffleboard and the ring game. Note: there was major flooding at the end of the driveway due to unprecedented rains. If we had a car (and not an SUV) this could’ve presented a problem. But the owner indicated this was due to the week of heavy downpours prior to our arrival.

We had a wonderful stay. We got very lucky with the weather! There were two adults and one 13 year-old girl. There was the bedroom upstairs which the adults stayed in. Not a ton of privacy as there is a hanging barn type door that didn’t really close. But is was lovely and bright. The downstairs bedroom is where my daughter stayed. She enjoyed it. We were perfectly close enough to the beach.. I would say a 1 to 2 minute walk. Great stay!

Near the Pier!

Interesting property for a team competing in Nags Head at the Pier. Reasonably priced and outfitted providing more space and better accommodations than the hotel nearby.

Great lovation

This was a great location for our young family! Lunch and nap time was easy as the short walk to and from the beach was so short. Our area of the beach was less crowded as well.

Conveniently Located

The beach is only a few minutes walk over the dunes, which was fantastic. It is located near town so there is plenty to do. The house has a bunch of board games and a shuffleboard table upstairs. We wouldn't mind staying here again.

Very cute cottage

We had a delightful stay. Although the house is on the smaller side, it is exactly as advertised and had all we needed to enjoy the trip. Beach access is so close! We thoroughly enjoyed the games in the loft when it rained. Overall, we had a great trip!

Nice cute cottage. Has two sofa beds. We were able to sleep 4 adults and 2 children very comfortably. The sofa beds are also comfy. They provide plenty of clean towels. The location is great (quick stroll to the beach) although the water on the Atlantic side was cold even in July. For older folks and small kids its important to note you do have to climb a large sand dune. The driveway did get flooded for a few hours with heavy rain so having a SUV or truck would be a good idea. The railings on the second floor are very flimsy. Some are screwed in but most of them have small staples in them. Please BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL if you have young children because they can come off easily and it becomes a fall hazard. The host was very responsive Overall was a good experience.
