We had an amazing week! There were 10 of us from young adults to 76 years old. We all had enough space for separate activities and could also come together for lawn or board games. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms met our needs. Working with Jonathan and his daughter, Jessica, was seamless. Both are very responsive to any requests or needs and never made it feel like it was an imposition.We thoroughly enjoyed the pool which was clean and very welcoming. The property is beautiful. The rail trail borders the property and we made full use of it for bicycling and walking. The dock with the kayaks is reachable by some steep steps, which we all managed to navigate successfully. The large porch was great for relaxing and we ate most of our evening meals outside at the table. The screened porch was a welcome retreat in the morning with coffee and the gas fire pit lit. We would love to return and would highly recommend this rental.

Family Get-away at a great Property

The property is as described and is perfect for a large group. There is plenty of common space but also large enough that if you are looking for some alone time you can have it. The property is very large with several out buildings and a dock at the river.

This house was perfect for our family gathering. It is well maintained and stocked with everything you could need. Beautiful setting. The host was awesome and easy to work with.

Stunning property, incredible location, felt like a real home not a house just made to be a rental. So much charm and character. Thoughtful details throughout. The dock, the bike path to town, the pool, the house itself— all epic. We had a fabulous week as a family.

Our stay at Jon’s beautiful historic home was just wonderful. The gorgeous expansive property is set above the bay on a hillside covered with flower meadows, blackberry bushes and fruit trees as well as a lovely lawn area. Lots of space to sit outside for dining and lounging while taking in the beautiful view. The private dock is perfect for swimming and kayaking in the quiet bay. Our family also enjoyed lounging by and swimming in the pool. The historic house had plenty of room for our crew of 7 people and actually has 4 full (1 recently added en-suite) and 1 half bath. The master suite is incredible. We’ve stayed at dozens of vacation homes over the years and this was the best.

Beautiful historic home

We took a "girls-only" trip with 7 of us. We loved everything about the property--the land was beautiful and the home was very nice. It was well-appointed and the owner, very accommodating. We had a special event and found the dining room to be perfect for a special event for a group of our size. The kitchen has been upgraded and was also well-supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed watching a mother fox and her pups, along with the chipmunks. We all highly recommend this property!

Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration

We found this beautiful home so welcoming for our family which ranges in ages from 4 years to 71years and gathering from Brunswick, Maine; Kansas; and Texas. The spaciousness of the home insured that everyone could have privacy when desired and many areas that were conducive to 6 adults and 6 children gathering together. The beauty of the park-like grounds was enjoyed by one and all. Even though the weather was cool, the children thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We most certainly would return again!
