What an amazing experience in paradise on earth! The cabin was spotless, host was friendly and helpful, the location was secluded and serene but close enough to amenities to have ease of getting necessary items and the cabin was a perfect romantic getaway for our honeymoon! We look forward to coming back here as often as possible
The cabin and the property were amazing. Very close to the water with the options of a beach for swimming and boats to fish and explore. Also many trails for hiking as well as basket ball court and cornhole to play. Had our own firepit with swing hammocks and benches to enjoy our time under the stars
We wanted a weekend of relaxation, and we got just that this place is amazing the pictures do not do it justice the hospitality the serene views we will be back next time in the summer.
Had an absolutely wonderful time. The trails are beautiful, the staff is helpful without being intruding, the cabin was cozy and accommodating, not to mention lovely. I proposed to my (now) fiancée here, and I am absolutely going to bring her back here again.
Absolutely beautiful and pristine location. So well maintained. It is so clean and every detail is thoughtful and supplies you with anything you need to feel the comfort of a home. Private and quiet, getting away from life's business was just incredible.
In the serene Wild Goose Pond Wonderful experience!
The Bower Cabin had all the amenities of home. We tried all the various watersPorts on the serene Wild Goose Pond, being serenaded by a loon family! Wonderful trails with Fairy Gardens and artifacts and old homestead rock formations. It was amazing to hit the jackpot and find this last minute getaway
The cabin exceeded our expectations! There was never a dull moment, always something to do/explore. We can’t wait to come back to stay! Thank you Graylag! P.s. it was a huge plus knowing that you all are environmentally conscious.
The cabin was wonderful and fully equipped. I loved the south western/Native American decor. I was, however, very disappointed as the description indicates the cabin it is “on” a remote pond. The cabin is not on a pond. There is a pond on the property. I was specifically looking to stay in a cabin that had immediate water access. The description is misleading. However, the stay was nice and the cabin was wonderful.
My wife and I were grateful that we had the opportunity to stay at Graylag over July Fourth. We stayed in Bower cabin, which had a cozy interior and a restful outdoor space with a hammock, grill, and a fire pit. When inside the cabin and turning in for the evening, we enjoyed having the glass doors to watch nature unfold right on our doorstep. The interior of the cabin had everything we needed for cooking and downtime. During the day, we enjoyed hiking the many trails on the property and getting a chance to spend time on the lake in the kayaks. We definitely hope to be back for another stay in the future!
We loved our stay at the Bower Cabin. The cabin was well equipped for cooking. Especially loved the black skillet. Loved the clawfoot tub and the puzzle board. We went on several hikes and they were well marked. We were amazed at the mushrooms and how they grew before your eyes. Of course the little chipmunk added amusement while sitting on the porch. Thank you for sharing Graylac Nature Preserve!
I don't want to share all the amazing and wonderful benefits of this property so that too many folks discover it and I can't book again! :-) It was fantastic! Nice weekend getaway right on the lake. We swam, sat by the firepit, hiked, and just relaxed. Anne was there if we needed her and made sure we knew how to reach her and Nik. But everything at Graylag is so thoughtfully planned out that we didn't need anything all weekend. Toured some great breweries in the area but otherwise just disconnected and relaxed in nature and it was just what we needed. Already trying to find a time to come back!
This little cabin was just simply the best. On our way we saw a few homes in need of tlc...i held my breath and was completely in love with the cabin once we got there. The firepit and bbq, wooden rocking chairs outside created the right ambiance, but the inside was just so perfect. I wish i could have taken the comfortable bed and bedding home with me lol, along with the clawfoot tub. Ive never been so relaxed. There are beautiful trails starting right at the backdoor and a gorgeous pond a few steps away from the front door. We didn't use the boats (maybe next time) and instead took a day trip to the little art museum in Rochester, then another hour or so to Kennebunkport, ME, with beautiful, lush forest along the way. We enjoyed the beach and a lobster roll on the pier and then got right back to enjoying our sweet cabin. Everything in the cabin was nicely curated with none of the hokey decor that cabins sometimes include. Everything chosen for the kitchen to the bath contributed to the relaxing, rustic elegance. Just aaaahhhh
I was looking for a quiet Cabin by a Lake in New Hampshire where I could swim, practice kayaking, canoeing, and sailing, as well as hiking. This was Graylag! I spent three wonderful days with my wife. Anne and Nick are very friendly and have the proprty and cabins pristine! Thanks!
Overall experience was good cabin is off the beaten path. Very nice well maintained quiet retreat. The cabin was very clean and cozy and most importantly the bed was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep.
This cabin is an absolute gem. We greatly enjoyed the quiet and disconnection.
We will be back in the summer for sure! Definitely want to kayak on the water!
