Remodeled cabin w/ Hot Tub, Bunk house on 2 acres!
Discover our rustic cabin, once a historic "saw" shop, now a cozy retreat on 2 acres. Just 6 mins from Packwood and 30 mins from White Pass Ski Resort. Relax on the deck with a cedar hot tub, enjoying mountain views after hiking or skiing. Your mountain getaway awaits!
The property sits on a spacious 2-acre plot, offering ample privacy as it the only structure on the property. Neighbors are situated solely on one side, approximately half a mile away, with a dense row of towering trees as a natural privacy barrier, providing additional seclusion. Despite its proximity to Highway 12, the main road is approximately one acre away and separated by a line of 50-foot trees, minimizing noise and enhancing the serene atmosphere of the property.
Welcome to our cozy cabin nestled among the trees! While we take great care to maintain the cabin's cleanliness, it's worth mentioning that our natural surroundings sometimes bring a few friendly bugs along for the adventure. If the occasional stink bug or flying ant isn't your cup of tea, we totally understand! We just want to make sure you have all the information you need to feel comfortable during your stay.
The main cabin has heat and AC. The separate bunkhouse has heat but no AC. It usually stays pretty cool at night and there are windows for a breeze!

That cedar hot tub was the best. We had a whole herd of elk bedded and feeding at the end of the private medow. The accommodations were excellent with a great shower, and comfortable bed.
We enjoyed our brief stay. The cabin was impeccably clean, the fireplace was very cozy, and we liked hearing the sound of the rain on the metal roof. A nice getaway.
The cabin was great. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area around the fire pit and the picnic table. We sat out during the evening and both deer and elk entered into yard area. Beds were comfy and the place was very clean! The location was literally less than 5 minutes outside of Packwood. Great location that felt secluded. My only complaint was that the place slept 6 and the kitchen was stocked with 2 coffee mugs. We had to do some serious adlibbing in the morning for coffee!!
This is a wonderful property that is updated and very clean. The bunk house is great for children. A perfect location just outside of Packwood and very convenient to Mt. Rainer. Love the space in the back with the camp fire area and hot tub. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Clean and comfortable cabin. Everything was great except for the bunk house does not have air conditioning and we were there on a very hot summer day which made it practically unusable during the day. At night it was better but it was still a bit stuffy. I would recommend getting a small window AC unit.
What a sweet and cozy cabin experience! We had a great time! The house met and exceeded all expectations. We came for the weekend to ski at White Pass. The house was a perfect distance from the pass and a wonderful place to come back to and relax after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was a great addition to the already accommodating atmosphere. Highly recommend this sweet cabin for your next stay. We will definitely be back.
We had a great stay at this cute cabin. We went to Mt Rainer and did long hikes uphill so the hot tub was great to soak our sore muscles. They had extras like cooking supplies and condiments. They also had some board games. We were thankful there were laundry pods to wash our hiking clothes. There was also a small garden with delicious tomato’s. I would definitely recommend this cabin.
We were about an hour from the Paradise area of Mt. Rainier, which is what we came to see. The property is very close to the highway so you have the highway noise, but visually you cannot see it because of the trees, so that was nice. We enjoyed the cedar soaking tub which seemed very clean. The bunk house gets extremely warm if it’s warm outside and there is no lock on the slider from the outside. My kids had to lock it from the inside which was fine but as a parent I would like to be able to unlock it from the outside as well. The kitchenware was not the cleanest, and I am guessing that’s because there’s no dishwasher and the previous guests didn’t take care in washing the dishes thoroughly. We just had to wash them before using them. No big deal but just thought I’d mention it. The bathroom rug was a bit dirty, so maybe throw that in the wash? I noticed a strong smell of maybe a varnish or something after we returned from being gone all day and having the house shut up. We enjoyed the nice washer and dryer for our clothes after camping! And the location worked for our needs. Cute decor too! Thank you!
A group of 5, all friends and family, came out of the woods after 5 days of backpacking to relax and recharge at this cabin, and MAN ALIVE were we pleased with our stay!! The shower was SO luxurious!... and they had all the basics plus some extras that we found we hadn't accounted for. (Extra razors and restorative ointment for sunburns!.. thank God!)
Same story with the bedrooms! Beautiful and comfy and spacious!... with extra blankets and pillows and fans and curtains for all the sleeping needs of everyone there. So, so nice.
The soaking cedar tub was LOVELY! and the huge backyard and patio and fire circle with treliss.... it was an INCREDIBLY relaxing ambiance. Oh!... and did I mention there was even a thriving herb garden!... with fresh tomatoes and chives to add into our breakfast scramble?? Wow!... we were just SO delighted by all the extras.
Super comfy living and dining and kithcen. Really spacious hang out area. Everyting (wifi, smart tv, coffee setup, etc).. all worked without a hitch and make our stay just PERFECT in every way.
Loved, loved, LOVED this place! They get 5 starts PLUS from me for their hospitality and welcoming setup as well as their clean, tasteful and beautiful surroundings and decor.

About the host
Hosted by Leigh Warsing
Hi! We're Leigh and Hossein and we love the outdoors. We live in Portland and we spend all of our free time hiking, camping, gardening and traveling although, Leigh does not like leaving her best dog friend - Callie - at home so we do a lot of local trips so Callie can come along. We love the Packwood area and think it is an outdoorsy GEM and wanted a place that we can also enjoy ourselves as a weekend getaway. We hope you love this beautiful place as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
This place is serene.... picture yourself in a cedar soaking tub with a herd of elk meandering through the yard with nothing but trees in the background....have you ever seen anything more beautiful?
