Modern, attractive, extremely liveable

Lovely apartment, well outfitted and easy to live in. There's a chain supermarket 2 minutes walk that has much of what you need. There are other shops and restaurants nearby. I especially recommend the butcher Paupiette on Rue Paul Bert. You are close to Gare Part-Dieu and the adjacent metro station. Metro and bus can get you to any part of the city.

The apartment was great!

The apartment is conveniently located on the ground floor and has a lovely patio. Sandra’s mother was very helpful and I can’t think of anything that was missing. A small grocery store is about a block away and les Halles is an easy walk. Lyon is a great city.

Perfect location for a Lyon stay. Easy 5 minute walk to local supermarket and bus. The apartment itself is spotless, comfortable, quiet, well equipped. Would stay here again. Another plus is that the apartment is about 10 mins by bus to LesHalles de lyon.

Bien situé, calme et très confortable.

De tous les appartements que nous avons loués à Lyon depuis une dizaine d’années, c’est la 1ère fois que nous sommes aussi satisfaits. Nous avons séjourné une dizaine de nuits dans l’appartement (de fin décembre à début janvier) et nous n’avons pas vu le temps passer. C’est un appartement bien équipé, moderne, très fonctionnel, très confortable et bien sécurisé. Appartement très calme, on y dort aussi très bien car la literie est parfaite. Tout est propre dans l’appartement et c’est merveilleusement bien décoré. Tout est parfait. Même en hiver, nous avons pu profiter de la grande terrasse privée et sécurisée. Les voisins ne sont pas bruyants et sont très gentils (on les a rencontrés dans le hall). L’emplacement est vraiment idéal : situé dans un quartier résidentiel calme, à une dizaine de minutes de marche de la gare, à trois minutes du supermarché Casino et proche de tous les transports en commun et autres commodités. Sandra a été disponible pour répondre rapidement à toutes nos questions, par mail et par téléphone. En son absence, c’est Christine, sa mère qui nous accueillis, mon mari et moi. Ce fut un grand bonheur de rencontrer Christine. Très attentionnée et réactive, elle a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable. C’est une grande dame que nous ne remercierons jamais assez. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement. Ce fut une expérience très positive. Nous avons quitté l’appartement avec beaucoup de regrets car nous y étions vraiment à l’aise et c’est avec tristesse que nous avons laissé à Lyon le beau sourire de Christine. Nous y reviendrons. Encore un grand merci à Sandra et à Christine.

Comfortable and convenient

My husband and I stayed in Sandra's apartment for 4 nights. It is just as described with a great space for two adults,comfortable bed,well equipped,reliable WIFI connection, and very quiet for sleeping.It is close to grocery shops including the fabulous Paul Bocuse Market,local transportation and the station. We walked everywhere and found it very accessible to Vieux Lyon and Presqu'ile. Sandra made the process very easy and readily answered any questions.Her delightful mother Christine met us and gave a terrific orientation to the apartment and neighbourhood. She promptly checked us out and returned our deposit. It was overall a very positive experience. Unfortunately the weather was very wet and cold so we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the terrace.

Perfect for two

I highly recommend this apartment. It is clean, modern by any standard (bath/kitchen), comfortable, attractive, close to all public transportation, quiet and well equipped. There is a lovely patio partially under roof, nicely furnished and accessible by all rooms. The neighborhood feels safe regardless of hour. There is a small grocer barely two blocks away for your daily provisions. While it says sleeps 4, it would be quite crowed for my taste; it is ideal for two.

Comfortable and convenient

We stayed in the apartment for a week in March. It is in a quiet residential area, close to the main railway station. There are several bars and restaurants, a pharmacy (with an English-speaking pharmacist!), and a small supermarket within easy walking distance. The apartment is attractively furnished, well appointed, and very comfortable, with excellent WiFi (which is almost a necessity these days). A small terrace is a sun-trap and it was nice to sit out there on a couple of sunny days. Christine, Sandra's mother, welcomes you to the apartment and provides a quick tour of the immediate neighbourhood, and in particular points out those bus stops for getting to areas in the centre. The bus system is very good. Unfortunately I had a slight medical problem while we were there which meant that we spent more time in the apartment than the average visitor. On the other hand, we can attest to how comfortable and convenient it all was. We are an elderly couple and found the apartment to be ideal for our needs. There are some steps to enter the building, but there is also a rear entrance which should be wheelchair accessible. We will be back.

Homely and comfortable

This very spacious apartments has all one needs to make a home away from home. It is well equipped (adding a kettle available will be helpful for us tea drinkers) and fully furnished with all the home comforts. It is conveniently located as per the write up. The owner is very considerate and responsive. In her absence, her friend and family had been very helpful in settling us in and making us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed our stay in Lyon despite the rather wet weather during our stay.

Lovely Apartment in Convenient Location

This apartment is even better when you see it in real life. The owner, Sandra, was very prompt and helpful in all our dealings and her mother, Christine, who met us at the apartment, was extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect for accessing all areas of interest in Lyon and is close to the TGV railway station which is great for visiting other towns in the region. The apartment is very safe and secure and easily accessible on foot from the railway station. The apartment itself has everything you could need as far as cooking and washing are concerned, it is very clean and the bed is comfortable. It is quiet at night and I wish I was there right now! Thank you Sandra (and Christine), if we visit Lyon (a very beautiful city) again we would definitely want to stay in your apartment. Kylie and Chris

Comfortable, Clean and Close to Train

My husband and I were in Lyon for a conference and this apartment was perfect for us. It is on the ground floor and has a lovely patio. The owner's mom was very kind, met us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. The internet worked great and the kitchen was well equipped for staying in and preparing your own meals. However, with so many fabulous restaurants in Lyon, I'm not sure why anyone would stay in! All in all, a comfortable, clean place to stay.

I had to stay for a few weeks in Lyon for Business, and this apartment was the perfect solution for me. Conveniently located, about 10mn from the subway station. The apartment is very nice with a TV, WIFI, a garage. Next time I have to stay for a few weeks I will rent another aprtment like this one.

Luxurious and Homey!

My husband and I came to Lyon to visit our daughter who is studying at EM Lyon. We wanted a comfortable, clean and well equipped place. What we experienced exceeded our expectations! This apartment is very tastefully decorated and the dinner parties that we hosted for our daughter and her friend were great fun! It truly felt like our home while in Lyon. The location is ideal for taking public transportation or for walking to the Rhone River. Thank you Christine for making our stay so easy to arrange and so wonderful while we were there!

Best Vacation

" Live Like a French" is exactly what my husband & I did. Each morning I would get the baguette & be back to the apartment before the coffee was ready. My husband commented that our trip to Lyon was the most relaxing vacation he has ever taken. Sandra's apartment is as you see in the photos. It was very clean, comfortable and large!. Close to buses & the train station, the location was perfect. Sandra's mother met us with the key. She explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and places to visit in Lyon. She couldn't have been more welcoming. I must say that I now want an induction counter top & ceramic pans! Thank you Sandra & Christine for a wonderful vacation.

Oasis in the city

My husband and I are in the apartment now. We do not want to leave. The online pictures are perfect, except they cannot convey the size, comfort and ease you feel here. The apartment is not only beautiful, it comes fully equipped with every little thing you could possibly need or want. The terrace is a wonderland of its own; it is huge for any apartment, accessible by every room, south-facing, very private, lush with greenery and flowers - you get the picture. Sandra is a joy to work with. She responded quickly to every question and (needless) concern I had for months between booking and our arrival. Sandra's mother, Christine, is absolutely charming . She met us at the apartment, showed us around here and also showed us the bus stop and grocery store. You cannot do better in this city. Note that there is a much larger grocery store, if you are going to be cooking, of course, just west of Rue Etienne Richerand on the north side of the street, the U Express, and the Monoprix, the best French grocery store ever, is just a 12 minute walk to Part Dieu, basement level. Hints: Bring something to read if you are not fluent in French, as the TV only gets French Programming, and bring grocery bags for light grocery shopping (There is a grocery cart for bigger grocery purchases in the apartment.), as France is very Eco, and stores do not have bags for you. Walking to and/or from Vieux Lyon down Cours Lafayette allows you to learn the neighborhood and burns off all of those fabulous calories you are going to ingest; we actually lost a few pounds! It is only a 2-mile walk, and walking is very French. Visit Parc de Tete d'Or in the 6th; make it a picnic day. No matter how you spend your day, coming home to Sandra's apartment at the end of it makes all the fatigue and sore feet worth it.

Perfect in every way!!

We stayed in this lovely apartment for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The place is beautifully decorated and very convenient to the train station, supermarket and major bus lines. Dealing with Sandra and her mother Christine is a pleasure. Ou only regret was that our stay was not longer. If you are considering a stay in Lyon you will not regret staying in Sandra's place.

Florida travelers

My husband and I spent the last of three weeks in France and found this property to be exactly as pictured and described on website. Sandra's sweet mother, Christine, was there to meet us and gave us a thorough "tour" and explanation of all we needed to feel right at home. Lyon weather was surprisingly cooperative with our visit, so we enjoyed sitting outside and relishing refreshing spring sunshine (something we don't get much of in Florida!) Proximity to the bus and metro system made visits to all historic sites easy. We actually returned our rental car on second day after arrival; good public transportation MUCH easier than city driving and parking. We had a variety of special interests to explore in Lyon, and we were not disappointed. It was lovely to have such a comfortable, quiet, and attractive "home" to return to each evening.

J'ai occupé cet appartement du 18 au 25 mai 2013; J'ai été accueilli par Christine, la mère de Sandra, une dame charmante, accommodante et très chaleureuse; elle m'a tout de suite mis à l'aise et m'a fourni une foule de renseignements sur l'appartement ainsi que les environs immédiats. Que dire de l'appartement qui n'ait pas déjà été mentionné?; il est ultra propre, spacieux, moderne; bien situé, éclairé, joliment décoré, très bien fourni, tout y est, même une grande terrasse donnant sur une cour arrière; l'apart est à moins de dix minutes à pied de la gare Part Dieu, trois minutes du supermarché Casino; Malgré le temps froid et pluvieux durant le séjour, j'avais tout le confort nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour, chaque pièce étant muni d'un radiateur électrique autonome. Un gros merci Christine et Sandra; tout s'est déroulé tel qu'il avait été convenu. je n'hésiterais pas à y retourner. Gérald

My husband and I have been traveling in France for many months, learning about the culture and the different towns, cities, and villages. We were so pleasantly surprised by the location and the comfort of our rental in Lyon. Sandra and her mother were easy folks to do business with, very straight forward and helpful. Lyon is an extremely interesting city, and the apartment was very well situated for walking or public transport. A safe place on the ground floor. I would recommend this apartment to my best friend. Also, if you do happen to own a car, there is secure parking under the building.

Fabulous!!!

We arrived to find the mother of the host awaiting our arrival. The apartment was elegantly appointed and absolutely spotless. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking full meals which we did throughout our stay. The livingroom - dining room was spacious, well lit, comfortable and pleasingly decorated. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, lots of closet space and plenty of hangers, including a tie hanger which my husband loved. There was everything needed to clean the place and there was even a yoga exercise mat. Close by was a Casino supermarket and not far a better Intermarche market. When we arrived, I was fighting a terrible cold. This soon turned into pneumonia. The mother of the host, Christine, was incredible in that she made an appointment for me with her own doctor, took us to the doctor, and then to the pharmacy for the 5 prescriptions needed. This was truly amazing. Upon our departure, she insisted on driving us to Gare Part-Dieu, a close walk away, as I was still not strong. To say that we would strongly recommend this apartment is an understatement. Should you need to be in Lyon, look up the owners apartment or her latest acquisition near the Place Bellecour.

So convenient, so comfortable

Four of us stayed in this ground floor apartment which is well appointed, very comfortable and clean. It is easily accessible from the main train station and a good base to explore Lyon. We had no difficulty in contacting Christine who went to great lengths to assist with our settling into the apartment and the city. It was easy to communicate with the owner prior to our visit, any information requested was quickly provided. We all loved Lyon and the apartment and hope to return at some stage.

I am from Lyon and this location is the best to enjoy everything, travel and still be independant and have quiet time.

What makes this property unique

I love coming back home whith the kids and no need to call anybody to pick us up. After traveling from the US and connecting to the train in Paris, we just walk out of the train and here we are: home ! A nice privacy and so close to the crowd of the city ! I love the sunny terrace which gives us a nice place to be out.
