Hembrooke's Dollar Point Lakeview Home with Hot Tub

Located in Prestigious Dollar Point Private Community. 

This home has newer granite kitchen counters and breakfast bar, electric stovetop, vaulted ceilings
throughout, river rock wood burning fireplace, wi-fi, and a large storage room just inside the entry.
This room is great for storing bikes, skis and snowboards, sporting equipment, rafts, coolers and
provided firewood. It also includes a secondary fridge and freezer. Just inside, you’ll find a family
room that can convert to a fourth bedroom via an in-wall murphy bed. This all-purpose room has
couches, table and chairs, board games in the large closet, television, and a slider door connecting
to the large back deck. The deck is split level and faces the lake with nice views. Heading back
inside and up 3 or 4 stairs to the main gathering area you’ll find a great room with couches and
chairs, more deck access, a large dining table, and kitchen. This kitchen is fully equipped, yet due to
wildlife concerns we do not stock most pantry items. Near the kitchen is a bedroom with a queen
sized bed and full bathroom across the hall.
Down the stairs you’ll find a queen bedroom, full bathroom, washer and dryer, hot tub access, and
an additional bedroom with a bunk bed set, as well as a trundle bed option (this room can sleep 4).
Also downstairs on a newly added third level is a large bedroom/multi-purpose room with an
attached toilet and shower. A glass slider door leads to a paver patio and hot tub. This room can be
a great playroom by day, or could provide a getaway for movie night.
Besides a great summer vacation home, the spring and autumn in the Sierras are magnificent. You
can enjoy nearby hiking and biking trails, sit in front of the fire, or just relax out back and enjoy the
crisp mountain air. Stargazing is incredible as well.
We provide all linens and towels. There is NO A/C, and this is fairly common in Tahoe, yet there are
several ceiling and box fans in the home. Back deck and BBQ may not be available during snowy
winter months.

Unfortunately, and due to recent changes in HOA policies, Dollar Point recreational amenities such
as gated beach access, pool, tennis courts and playground are not available to renters unless rental
stay is for 31 nights or more. Please contact us for more details.

Wonderful place!

This was the perfect place for our summer vacation with 7 people. Loved the layout of the house, the kitchen, the deck with lake view, the hot tub, and the proximity to the pool and lake. Well stocked kitchen and games for the kids. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Good for family get away

The place was perfect for the me and the family there where plenty of board games for the kids to play and keep bizzy during our stay.. plenty of room for the whole family.. but there where spider webs everywhere, one side of the hot tube didn't work while we where staying there the bedroom with the sliding glass door to the balcony didn't have blinds for it at night time. And one of the rooms had stains on the sheet, one of the stove top burner was broken also..

Group of cycling friends

I have a group of friends that get together to cycle around Lake Tahoe every fall. I would say this is one of the best places we have stayed in. It is clean, spacious and beautiful. A few minor recommendations we would suggest include a patio light by the hot tub to make it easier to get down the stairs in the evening, a few more towels to use the hot tub and a few light switch labels (similar to the ones in the kitchen cabinets). Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and more than likely will plan to rent it again next September.

The home is in a great location, not far from Tahoe City, restaurants, and a short drive to Incline Village. The kitchen was well enough equipped for our needs, though it would have been nice to have some actual wine glasses. The master bedroom has a pull-out sofa bed, and the shower is very small. The furniture in the home is very dated. While the listing says no pets allowed, there were what appeared to be pet stains on the carpet, and we had pet hair on our clothes after sitting on the living room furniture. We didn’t use the hot tub, so no opinion there. The best feature about this property is the location; for the cost, a real bed in the master bedroom, wine glasses, a deep cleaning, and some updated furniture would greatly add to the value.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Girlfriends trip, we travel frequently, prefer our own room and bathroom, while enjoying common space indoors and out. This home is spacious, and provided both the private and shared space we were looking for. The location was perfect for us - close to Tahoe City, Incline Village, and some great restaurants. Unfortunately, the furnishings, bedding, dishes and cookware, etc., all look to have been sourced from a thrift store... The furniture is outdated and worn, as is the bedding, some being frayed with loose threads. The bed in the ‘master’ bedroom is a pull-out sofa, and the shower is very small. There’s an eclectic assortment of coffee cups and glasses, but no actual wine glasses other than one stemless. Some areas could use new paint, as there were marks and dings on the walls.While the listing stated no pets allowed (our preference, due to allergies), there were what appeared to be pet stains on the carpet, and pet hair on the living room furniture, which ended up on our clothes every time we sat down. Overall, the location was excellent, and this could be a real gem, but it needs a serious update to be worth the rental cost.

Such a shame you are not allowed to use the pool and pier and still have to pay the same price if not more.

I wish we had known beforehand that the beach, pool, and other amenities are closed to renters on Saturdays (and apparently every day next year, in 2021) because we went to the beach for a birthday gathering and were turned away. So much for a birthday gathering party and vacation...not good. And, the birthday celebrant had come in from another state, so that was very unexpected and disappointing.The house is dated on decorations, but we didn’t care. A few more kitchen utensils, paring knife, matches, more tp and more paper towels were expected.

Good location on the north side. Property was good for what we wanted.

Tahoe City Weekend Trip

This was a great home that allowed all of our friends to spend the weekend relaxing. The porch was amazing and was a perfect place to drink coffee, do yoga and grill up some tasty dinner. The home was also cozy while still allowing all our friends to have their own space. The only issue was the oven and cooktop were very slow to heat up which meant our dinner took a long time to make. The AC also only seemed to work downstairs not upstairs. This place is a great value and we would all come again!

This house slept 10 people comfortably, and was well-stocked with towels, games, kitchen equipment, etc., including a second refrigerator that came in handy. It's kind of a long walk to get to the Dollar Point beach, maybe a mile (and a lot of uphill on the way back!). An unpleasant surprise was the $10 per person per day charge to access the beach. The listing did not mention that, apparently because the owner thought the charge would not yet be in effect. More unpleasant was the 8 person per house limit, especially given that the house is listed to accommodate 10 people. That can make for some awkward family dynamics -- who gets to go to the beach today, and who gets left out? If you have a big group, that beach charge adds up fast. Luckily we were only there for the weekend. I can see why they would want to limit the number of people because the beach was very crowded. Had we known about the extra fees and the 8 person limit, we would have looked for a different rental.

Family summer get-a-away

We were extremely pleased with this property. It was clean, spacious and well-kept. We had plenty of room for all of our family members - our adult children and their kids; we especially enjoyed the deck off of the living/dining room, which faced the lake. We spent some very enjoyable evenings out there. The hot tub was great - someone from our family used it every night. The house is very close to grocery stores, etc, in Tahoe City. We were pleased with the amenities that were provided - the internet was fast and reliable, there were several portable fans provided that we needed during the day as the weather was quite warm when we were there; plenty of towels. Our family members enjoyed the private beach. Overall, we were very pleased with this property and the owners were very responsive to any questions that we had.

Our stay was perfect in this quiet neighborhood house. I like to cook and the kitchen was very functional and well supplied. The downstairs sofa bed turns into a very comfortable queen bed with its own bathroom & outside entrance, perfect for older kids or another couple. Two more bedrooms downstairs are very comfortable with another shared full bath. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a full bathroom and another room is a study with a murphy bed that was comfortable sleeping. The back deck has plenty of seating with a view of the lake. The set up is such that while preparing meals you can still stay engaged in the conversations on the deck and living room. Clean carpets and bathrooms. Overall a very comfortable living, would love to return next year and I would highly recommend this rental. Hot tub was clean and comfortable right off the downstairs bedrooms.

Tahoe is Beautiful!

Had a great week. House worked out well and was as promised. Would be nice to have an extra house key as sometimes we had groups going different ways. Long walk to beach especially going back uphill. Enjoyed just sitting on the deck as it was very peaceful and quiet. Lake was amazing. Also spent quite a bit of time at pool and tennis courts which was an easy walk. Jacuzzi was wonderful! Thanks for sharing your home!
