Maison de Farine - La Haute is the upper two levels of a newly renovated stone house that offers a gourmet kitchen with a large island, a livingroom with wood burning fireplace, a dining room that seats up to 10 people, 4 double bedrooms that sleep up to 8 people, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite to master) with modern fixtures, a large outdoor terrace with seating for up to 12 people and views of the town and medieval tower, and shared access to a new pool.

The property is an easy 5 minute walk to the centre of Roquebrun where there are restaurants, cafes, stores, the botanical gardens and medieval tower, hiking and biking trails, and access to l'Orb River and its beautiful beach and shoreline with many places to swim, picnic, and boat.

Roquebrun is a unique town, set in the Parc Natural Régional du Haut-Languedoc, offering many amenities that are cherished by the whole region. L'Orb river is very conducive to swimming, boating, and fishing. The town's botanical garden and surrounding rolling hills offer many opportunities for hiking and enjoying the stunning views of the winding river valley. The local shops, restaurants, and caves offer fresh, regional products that are happily enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.

This unit only shares use of the property's pool, but if rented together, offers private use of the pool along with the additional kitchen, dining and livingroom, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 sleeping lofts and an additional large terrace, garden and parking space. Nous avons découvert le joli village de Roquebrun où se situe la maison. Très jolie pièce principale spacieuse et joliment meublée avec son poêle qui donne l’ambiance et chauffe très bien . J’ai juste une remarque au sujet de la télévision ( normalement dans le descriptif) qui est en fait un écran d’ordinateur relié à une barre de son ! Il faut courir acheter des adaptateurs et un câble HDMI car rien ! Également un reproche pour la 4 ieme chambre qui pour moi est pour 1 personne et non 2 car j’ai dormi dans le lit tiroir qui une fois tiré prend toute la place dans la chambre juste une chaise pour y poser son sac de voyage .

Perfect family oasis

Our week at Maison de Farine was the perfect respite in the middle of a busy 3 week tour of France and Italy. We didn't know anything about Langudoc before our trip but we loved learning about the region and it's heritage. We did day trips to Beziers, Carcassonne, and one (very long) day trip to Barcelona. Roquebrun itself is a great spot: so picturesque in the hillside, with just enough amenities (boulangierie, restaurants, and a small grocery store) without being busy and the house is a couple hundreds meters from the centre, which ensures quiet. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous (the pictures don't do it justice). The main floor common areas and especially the gorgeous and well equipped kitchen were fantastic. The patio allowed us to eat al fresco every night. The four bedrooms gave everyone some quiet moments. Everything about Maison de Farine make me recommend it very highly for your next vacation.

Amazing holiday in five star accomodation

We had a wonderful time staying at the Maison de Farine in Roqueburn. The house was beautifully decorated and spacious, with views across to Roqueburn which were stunning.The open plan living area housed a lovely, fully equipped kitchen with a fantastic (and large) central cooking and eating area (my teenage daughter made full use of the 'Nespresso' coffee machine and the 'coffee nook'!). We spent our days lazing by the lovely pool (which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves) and chilling out on the sun loungers. There was even a 'Cave' directly opposite the house, so holiday wine was plentiful! Roqueburn itself was a few minutes walk from the house and was lovely - small, but perfectly formed! There were a few good restaurants, a tabac, and a boulangerie. The river itself was wonderfully clear and perfectly safe for swimming.We took our own kayak (although there were plenty to rent) and spent a few lazy hours paddling up and down. We visited the coast, which was easily accessible in 40 minutes, on several occasions. Beziers is close, so is Montpellier and Carcassone, and we even made it to Nimes to meet friends! The house was spacious for our family of seven. The extra accomodation below the house, which will soon be available to rent, would be great for extended family and friends. Thank you for your hospitality, we will be back!

Très belle propriété...et propriétaires charmant !

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans cette maison. Tout était impeccable à notre arrivée, notre hôte avait même pris le temps de faire quelques courses avant que nous arrivions ! Nous avons vraiment été très bien accueilli. La maison est très confortable, tout est fait pour passer un séjour luxueux. Elle est idéale pour deux couples avec enfants, car l'étage supérieur permet à chacun d'avoir son intimité. La piscine est le petit plus bienvenue !

We found the area to be the perfect combination of cuisine, culture, outdoor activity, and opportunities to explore and relax, so we fulfilled the dream of owning a property in France and are thrilled to be able to share it and this wonderful region with our guests.

Why they chose this property

After renting vacation properties in Roquebrun for six years, we decided that we wanted to have our very own piece of the town. This stone house is the perfect opportunity for us to create an property that has an ideal combination of historical features and modern amenities - just like the town in which it is situated.
