About this property

Spacious ocean front condo in Ocean Dunes!

As of March 18, 2026, we were notified by the HOA that they are replacing of all sliders and windows in the Indoor Pool area of the Rec Center at Ocean Dunes. This is a two-phase project with the first phase starting Monday March 23 to Friday March 27. The second, larger phase will start on April 14 and end April 24.

During these two phases, the Indoor pool area will be closed to all owners and guests. (The gym and change rooms/saunas will be accessible during that time, with the exception of any period of time when the electricians will be working in the men's room where the hot tub equipment is housed).

Stunning panoramic ocean views await you in "Bob's Place" at the popular Ocean Dunes community of Kure Beach. This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath oceanfront townhome is only one flight down to the pool, beach and gazebo.

The spacious primary bedroom has a Queen bed and attached full bath, while the second bedroom has two Twin beds and utilizes the full hall bath. The half bath is located as you come in the front door. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room seating and a flat screen TV.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and cornhole. The Recreation Center has an indoor pool, whirlpool/spa, gym, saunas, and showers.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).

Great Condo. Bryant reality was top notch

The condo was very clean and very well kept. The air conditioner wasn't working properly and within an hour of calling Bryant real estate, a technician came and it was fixed.

Great visit

This property "Bobs Place" was a good place to stay and wind down. It was right on the beach and had two private balconies. The only downside was the floors could use a good cleaning and an update to the furniture. Other than that all was great

Beach vacation

We really enjoyed a Family vacation at the Condo at Kure Beach. A few things could be updated as well as having a more user friendly TV service. Overall we give the property a B in rating I’d say we would utilize again if we decide to vacation again at Kure Beach.

Wonderful view

This property has such an amazing view of the beach and ocean. However the property is really outdated And the bed was not comfortable. But for a view like that I won't complain much.

View was fabulous! Upstairs was hard to cool. Distance to beach was a bit far for two in their seventies. Pool was great. I did not check closely enough to see that bedrooms were up 14 stairs which tried my knees and hubby’s heart.

COVID restrictions were a bit of a nuisance for check in, but understandable. The door codes need to be reset for daylight savings time. I had to get another code for entry upon arrival because my keyless code wouldn't work until 5pm.

We did find it run-down, shabby, not very clean, and the handrail to the upstairs balcony was downright dangerous. There was also no remote for the upstairs television, which was annoying. Bryant Real Estate was very good to work with, but we will be giving Bob's Place a pass for the future.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Bob’s Place! We have small kids and they really liked having an upstairs and downstairs. Critiques include: We were cooking a lot of our own meals and had some issues with the stove. Only two of the four burners work, and the oven controls are incorrect for setting temperature. For the amount of money it cost, it felt very cheap to have such an old and non-functional stove. Also the distance to the walkway to the beach was a little much because we didnt feel comfortable sending our kids back to the house or to the beach without an accompanying adult. Other than that, we loved the property, location, and balconies! We would definitely stay here again!

Superb location, OK condo

Reviewer Comments: The title of this review really says it all...you just cannot beat the location of the condo...right on the beach and in the quieter Ft Fisher area of Kure Beach. We went for a few day escape and hardly left the deck, but activities are not far.That said, the unit itself desperately needs updating and some reno-maintenance. It's small so I cant imagine more than 3 or 4 people max being comfortable there. It was OK for us except for the mattresses which were way to soft (queen) and way to lumpy (twins). Also not what I would call a fully equipped kitchen. Bottom line - we would rent from Bryant again (they were really good) but not this unit, though it might work for others.

Great location, horrible accomodations

The location and view were superb. All beds were horrible. We went out and bought an air mattress just to sleep. The queen was so lumpy they put a piece of foam on it, which was so soft you couldn't lay on it. The two twins were so old and lumpy that you couldn't sleep on them either. Wallpaper was torn and peeling off wall, sliding balcony door in bedroom did not work properly, blinds were broken, carpet was dirty. Basically this condo was done in 1980 and nothing has been updated since. I have stayed a lot of places in my 64 years, but this was by far the worst ever. The only good thing was the view of the ocean and the location. Oh yeah, the first night we killed a huge roach in the living room!

We have fixed the sliding door and replaced the vertical blinds in the oceanfront master bedroom, the wallpaper that was peeling off in the downstairs half bathroom has been removed and painted, and the carpets/ upholstery have also been cleaned since your stay. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is amazing being right on the beach but the balcony was the best part of the whole place. We all took off our shoes once we got in the house and within 10 minutes our feet were black. The carpet almost felt sticky. Unfortunately that was enough for it to feel dirty in there. We could not get the tv to work for it asked for an access code which I had never seen before. The rental company did email me back but by that time we were leaving. I would not stay at this rental ever again.

We recently stayed here in June 2024. There were 3 of us. We are single mothers who saved up money for this vacation, and we were very excited- until we walked into this condo. It is dirty.... outdated...dangerous in places... and VERY disappointing. The owner should invest some thought, time and money into this condo. Oven not working, deck chair trashed, sleeper sofa broken, overhead sink light burn out, dining room table light has a short, floor in master bedroom squishy in bath & in front of sliders. Both slider locks are broken, place was not just grubby but dirty- no one dusted or properly cleaned in ages. We left feeling stolen from, and that this unit was misrepresented. We never received the email regarding the broken sleeper sofa. We did not call Realtor to have place cleaned agin- that should have been done properly before check in- not on our time! Bryant Real Estate is at the helm, and there is an “owner” associated with this rental unit. I would have higher standards and expectations if this were my business. Do not stay here- keep looking!

The sleeper sofa was broken by a guest prior to your stay, and the property owner was working to find a replacement couch. As we could not guarantee a replacement date, we did reach out to all guests at this unit and let them know we could provide a roll-away bed if needed. Everything was worn out. Oven did not work. Stove partially worked. A large portable oven was placed on the counter. This eliminated all counterspace. It was always very hot to touch. Limited cooking equipment. One pot. Could only bake a small item. It made cooking for a family of five challenging. All three toilets backed up. Keep plungers handy. Both sliding glass doors did not lock. Tubs lacked safety grips in the tubs. It was actually dangerous. (rental company fixed this.) Upper deck has worn wood and feels unsafe. Floor is soft leading to upper deck. Front screen door does not close. One of the deck chairs broke while sitting in it. It had rusted out. Carpets are dirty and worn. Cockroaches were found in multiple places.. Air conditioning was good as was the Internet connection. Bryant realty company were supportive and helpful . I would not stay here again. Over 20 years of renting beach condominiums and homes, this was by far the worst place we have stayed in.

Highly Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a horrible experience here. I will start with the small things. There was a coffee maker which was nice but it actually makes a large mess and there there were no rags or towels in the kitchen to clean with. They also we're almost out or paper towels so it made cleaning difficult. First thing we smelled coming into the condo was cigarette smoke. This may have been due to someone previously smoking just inside of the door as it was not strong but my girlfriend is very sensitive to this. The pool was not opened and I did not see a hot tub in the area so just note that if you are expecting a hot tub, it's at a community center down the street that they give you a temp pass for. As far as the larger issue. We slept zero over the weekend. They were doing Beach Nourishment which means that they are rebuilding the beach with bulldozers and piping sand in from the ocean. They method they notify you or this is item 22 on at the bottom of their rental agreement saying there may be beach nourishment and there may be inconvenience and there will be no refunds. For someone who didn't know what beach nourishment there should have been more information. Maybe someone telling me when they called me to sign the forms that there may be bulldozers outside of of the condo running 24 hours a day (yes zero sleep) beeping and and shaking the condo shining bright lights into the window. Obviously not what we want out of a weekend after driving 4 hours. Of course I was made to feel like it was my fault for not reading the agreement well enough. If you would like to see what Bryant Realty was ok for me, I plan on posting the videos and pictures on social media.Very disappointed in my stay and how I was treated. And 100 dollar credit to stay at the place again if I stay for over 3 days in non- peak season (barely paying for gas or cleaning fee) was insulting. I was not a fan of the place outside or my horrible stay but I definitely would not work with Bryant Realty

Hello Randy, We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. You contacted us primarily to complain about the beach re-nourshiment. We realize this impacted your stay, just as rainy days might impact you. We realize the latter is more of an "act of god", but the beach renourishment is an act of the government, and it might require an "act of god" to know when and where it will be and how it might impact peoples stay. We have a clause in our contract that explains this risk. As you noted - you did not know what this meant, but you signed the contract anyway. If there is any element of a contract you do not understand, we strongly encourage you to get answers prior to signing. Regarding the paper towels not in the unit, we do not state this as a provided amenity. In fact, our communication with you before your arrival reminds you to bring them. We have no record of anyone smoking in the unit. All of our units are smoke free and we have staff members that are sensitive non smokers that check properties at risk. No issues were reported before or after your stay. Out door pools are open from Memorial day to Labor day pending certificates from the city. The complex you rented, is a large resort that offers a hot tub and indoor pool that was available during your stay. We understand your primary issue is the impact of the renourishment. Something that we do not control, nor are we provided a schedule for. This work is overseen by the US Army Corp of Engineers and we appreciate their necessary work in maintaining our coastal communities. You have made it clear you intend to post on all social sites and you continue to use this in an attempt to extort more money out of us, again, for something out of our control and something we do not have the ability to know how it will impact a renter if at all. Regardless, you seem set on trolling us, however, we stand firm on not giving money to those attempting to extort us on social media to get what they want.

Very old .... outdated .. condo needs a face-lift really bad and for what I paid for for 2 nights should cover a couple rooms. Beautiful Beach. Horrible condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was amazing. House it’s self was adorable and clean beds where comfortable but could probably use an upgrade. Other wise absolutely no complaints
