This wonderful farmhouse was very comfortable and delightful. We enjoyed the decorative rooms and the kitchen provided all the amenities needed for a lovely farmhouse breakfast. Highly recommend this farmhouse for a nice step back in history with modern amenities. My grandparents loved it!
The house was very memorable for our group. We all enjoyed our time there. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property more. The pellet stove was very nice. And the neighborhood was so quiet at night. That was wonderful. Those staircases are steep! This may need to be mentioned in the house description. No everyone would be capable to climb them. Also, it needs to be mentioned that two of the upstairs bedrooms have to go through the third bedroom to get downstairs or to the second bathroom. We had two not show for this trip so it was not an issue, however, this may not be comfortable or appropriate for all guests that have a full house.

Thank you for your kind words—we’re really glad to hear your group enjoyed the home, the pellet stove, and the quiet neighborhood. It’s always great to know guests had a memorable stay.
For future guests, we do want to clarify a couple of points mentioned. The staircases are indeed steep, and this is clearly noted in our property description so guests can determine if the home is a good fit for their group.
Regarding the layout, the home has two staircases to the second floor, so all three upstairs bedrooms can be accessed without anyone needing to pass through another bedroom.
We always aim to be as transparent as possible in our listing and are happy to answer any questions prior to booking to ensure the home is a good fit for each guest’s needs.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the house worked great for us. We especially appreciated that part of our family who had druven all night was allowed to check in a few hours early. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful property. It's such an interesting house. I personally loved the huge butterfly bush in the backyard. A great place close to a lot but you can still sit outside at night, and feel like you're away from everything.

Thank you for staying with us! It is a great spot to hang out!
Old random width plank floors n antiques galore, this place brought back memories of living in my old house from 1789. Nice outdoor spot to enjoy after all your days activities. There is no shortage of things to do n places to visit in the area. Chester County is a gem to visit.
Beautiful quaint colonial house. It was such a cool experience, but no worries it has modern amenities. The host is very nice and has great communication. The back yard was amazing and great for the kids to run around. The back patio was beautiful and we grilled hot dogs, and made smores over the firepit. This was such an amazing experience for the family. Thank you so much to the host.
Very nice home, as described. Lots of character and charm! Highly recommended!Owner was very responsive to our questions and ensured that we had everything we needed!
Spacious house built in 1880. Three and a half bathrooms. Beer on tap in the kitchen! Fire pit outside. Quaint and quiet and charming. Very clean and well kept. Recommend.
My friends and I were very happy with our stay at this quaint country getaway, along with it’s authentic 1800s atmosphere. The owner was very quick to get back to me with all of my concerns, which was very much appreciated . With All of that being said, I just want to prepare anyone that may be staying there, If you are a light sleeper or need privacy, do not take the room at the top of the stairs. You will not get privacy or sleep. Lol! The slightest complaints I would have would be there should be a curtain in the bathroom window and a lock on that bathroom door. Other than that, everything was just what we needed and would definitely stay there again.

LeAnn, thanks for your review. I wonder if you realized there was a second staircase? There is both a front and back staircase with doors that close to each. Perhaps the front one wasnt apparent! Sorry about that.
We six of us went there as a small group autumn tour through weekend. We stayed one night there. The house is very old (built in 1880) but the inside is well renovated and convenient. I felt like staying in a living museum with all the convenient amenities and modern technologies (TVs, high speed Internet, electrical fire stove, game gears and etc.) Lol. I really enjoyed the travel magazine published in 1905 placed in the living room. Upper and lower floor's separate heating and air conditioning control helped us to control just right temperature. Two full bethrooms in upstairs are great for privacy and convience in the busy morning. We liked the two separate beds in the two bedroom. The draft beer tap in the kitchen was actually working and we are allowed to drink draft beer for free. Wow. I could turn on and off the back yard decorative lights inside the house with remote controls. There were plenty of toilet papaers and paper towels as well as towels. The only thing we had a hard time was turning on the dining table light. It is located behind the cupboard cabinet. We all enjoyed our stay here. I highly recommend this place for those who love history and small group gatherings.
