This stunning and tranquil property is located in a private and secluded gated beach colony on the border of Oceanside and Carlsbad, California.

The 4BR/4BA Beach Home is perfect for a leisurely getaway within a pristine community of French inspired architecture and gardens including a private Association cabana and beach just steps from the Pacific. This vacation two-story home is nestled on the Buena Vista lagoon to the east with partial ocean views to the west, within one of the most unique coastal enclaves in California. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and entrance for full privacy. The living room/dining room, fully-equipped kitchen and second level outdoor deck provide a spacious, open living area with beautiful views and ocean breezes.

The community is of French Provincial style homes reminiscent of the quaint coastal villages of France was founded in 1929.

The Association of single family homes has its own private beach with facilities and volleyball court. A lifeguard is on duty from the 4th of July weekend through Labor Day weekend. The community offers two tennis courts, pickleball courts and a paddle tennis court (paddle tennis and tennis rackets are provided for our guests).

Minutes away, the Oceanside/Carlsbad area offers shopping, restaurants, movie complexes and golf. The Oceanside Harbor is at the northern entrance to the city, and one of the original California missions, San Luis Rey in the Mission Valley, is 15 minutes inland. Legoland, in Carlsbad to the south, is approximately a 15 minute drive. San Diego, about 40 minutes to the south, offers the world renowned San Diego Zoo and Sea World. To the east is Wild Animal Park.

Christmas Vacation

Love this private community! The neighborhood looks like a fairytale. The owner is lovely and we felt very safe and comfortable. Kids loved all the trains running past the lagoon. Downstairs rooms are private and can be noisy if you're sensitive to upstairs sounds, and glad it wasn't raining because the only way upstairs is an outside staircase. Kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Garage has plenty of beach equipment and toys and we enjoyed the ping pong. Peek-a-boo ocean view upstairs and you can hear the waves clearly from the front rooms. No beach at high tide but there is a private sand area for the kids and you can climb over the rocks to get to the beach at low tide. Thank you, Cobe!

We picked this property for the location to the beach, tennis courts and gated security. It had 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with a central living room kitchen area. Great for us to watch movies and games together, then private bedroom and bathroom.

Why they chose this property

Parents bought the property way back in 1957 and built their dream beach "cottage" in 1973. The family rented for a few weeks every summer growing up until we actually had a beach home of our own to share. Certain to provide memories for a lifetime - a location and serene coastal environment you will never forget.
