Apartment???

What I thought was a legitimate “apartment” rental turned out to be a converted third-car garage in a residential neighborhood, attached to someone's actively occupied home. The property description was misleading, omitting any mention of the fact that it's a private residence. If I'd known the truth, I would have never booked this place.

Thank you for your stay. I’m sorry to hear that our space didn’t meet your expectations. We do clearly note in the listing that this is an apartment, not a standalone home, and that it shares a wall with the primary residence. The unit was thoughtfully converted from a garage with permits and was finished to a high standard to provide a comfortable guest experience. It’s unfortunate there was confusion about the setup. I also want to note that the reservation was for 2 guests, and it appeared there was an attempt to bring an unregistered guest, which goes against our house rules. We work hard to be clear and transparent so guests can feel confident in what they’re booking, and we always welcome direct questions before or during a stay. Wishing you all the best in your future travels.

Disliked: Communication
It was fine. It took a long time for the water to get warm, we didnt even bother to try and take a shower. The toilet didnt flush correctly. The heater took a long time to heat up. The white towels in the bathroom all had set in stains. It was very difficult to figure out how to use the cable tv. (we have same set up spectrum and roku) finally had to call the rental agent. They need more details about how to use amenities. It was nice and quiet and clean for the most part. It was in a convenient location but not many restaurants around, luckily we brought food
