This place was exactly what we hoped it would be !
A family of 6 +2 more had a most excellent stay here. It is a minute walk to the beach which was perfect for all of our kids ranging from 7 to 15. They fished and swam to their hearts content! The owners were just a call or email away and quickly responded to us. We are hoping that we can rent again next year. I highly recommend this home !
This was a great place, we are 2 families of 3 and there was plenty of room. We did spend most of our time on the main level instead of the basement, which was the opposite of what we thought we would do, it was just easier to cook on that level since it is attached to the nice main deck with a newer grill. Quick walk to the beach, so close we just opted to carry our paddleboard/kayaks down instead of driving, it was that close. Beach was clean and not crowded, water was nice, main swimming area was sandy. Besides the occasional basketball game it was very quiet all week. The location is great, We did Santa's Village, shopping in North Conway, and on a rainy day changed our plans to go to Clark's Bears and went to Funspot instead (which is the worlds largest arcade) which is also an hour away. We would stay again!
We stayed for 3 weeks. Plenty of space for a family to spread out, the beach is a short walk across the street, and it’s close to all the activities in North Conway and the White Mountains.
We had such a delightful stay here! The house is very clean and extremely well-stocked. The location is perfect - it's a very short walk to the lake, which was just lovely. We had three young kids (5, 3, and 2) with us, and they had the most fantastic time swimming in the lake and playing on the nearby playground. Jeanne was fantastic to work with - very communicative and helpful! The only thing I would be aware of is that the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are open concept - there is no door separating the bedroom from the toilet/bath area, so there is no privacy for guests staying in that room. Just something to be mindful of when you're planning sleeping arrangements, etc. I would also highly recommend paddleboarding on the lake - we spent hours exploring the pond and saw lots of turtles, fish, and loons. It was a great trip and we hope to return next summer!
The only thing I’ll say is that maybe there should be more options for streaming and that there should be a tv in the main living room where the kitchen is. That’s really my only complaint. The bathroom in the master suit was a TRIP. But my daughter loves Disney movies and there were a few. I just wish that I could’ve had her on the main floor with me if I was cooking dinner and she was watching tv. I was a little nervous leaving her on a separate level with her being young. But we had a blast otherwise. It literally is a walk to the lake. And it was awesome.
Great chalet getaway for our large family - walking distance to the lake, basketball courts and short drive to Conway and Mt. Washington. Plenty of beds and privacy. Perfect porch for morning coffee.
This house is wonderful plenty of space to spread out. Very well stocked kitchen.Very convenient to Conway and the kangamangus. didn't swim in the lake but it looked very nice. Jeanne was absolutely wonderful to deal with and took care of a small issue upon our arrival. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for either a weekend or a week getaway.
The location of this property is AMAZING! House was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed, even games and things for kids to do! I would absolutely stay here again!!!
Had a great time. Great space. Comfortable with the exception of no AC on first level which made it pretty uncomfortable. Basement and 3rd floor were comfortable due to ac on third floor and cooler basement. First floor stifling.
First I would say that the owners were so great to work with as we booked prior to Covid and had to make some adjustments. They responded so quickly and thoroughly.
The home is set in the woods, I felt like I was in a tree house while sitting on the deck. The sandy beach was across the road and very convenient, perfect to hang out in a tube and for the little ones to swim.
They have a fire pit set up so making s’mores was quick and simple.
Some areas felt like separate living spaces which worked well for the multi generation family get together. Moms could tuck in kids while the grandparents chatted without interruption.
I don’t know where to begin from every little detail, friendly neighbors and amazing property owners!
Our first day we called the for our fire permit and the Marshall came right out , even put a light show on for our kids! We ran right across the street to the lake after unpacking! Clean and amazing!
Our second day we took in the sights! We were only 9 minutes from Dunkin’ and 15 from Walmart Incase you forgot anything! We swam and enjoyed the fire pit! We brought card games and the house was well equipped with games as well!
Our third day we went to the kangamangus highway a local told us about! It was amazing please check it out if you can! Breath taking Mountain View’s from the lake to any drive you take!
Our fourth day was amazing too! Diana’s bath is less than a half hour drive if you want to check that out! The local store sold fire wood, ice cream and pizza less than five minutes from the house!
This was an amazing rental!!! The group that traveled was myself, my sister in law aNd our four children ages 4-10. We brought our own linen and towels. The hooks in the mud room were a god send! The deck at night was a piece of serenity ! We heard a lot of wild life every night and every morning. The house is tucked back to be private !
I could write an entire book about our stay! We enjoyed it so much! We will definitely be back in the future!
Owner was awesome, not a single issue. Had a wonderful time, house was perfect. Enough room for a large group to spread out when people need alone time and large enough for everyone to gather when they want. Perfect!
We had the most enjoyable week in Eidelweiss. The house was spotless. There was an abundance of pots, pans, silverware and glasses. Jeanne and David really go out of their way to make sure the renters have everything they need. The location to the beach is perfect, just a short walk across the street. We swam every day and enjoyed the fire pit every night. It is such a nice location. It’s quiet in the village, but the grocery store and North Conway are just a few miles away. Jeanne could not have been more accessible for any questions we had and we will definitely stay there again in the future.
Great location close to beach for multiple families
Loved that the beach was so close....only a minute walk to beach. Accommodated 3 families with small children ages 5-11 great! There was a fun pool/air hockey table in basement for them to play with. Wished there was one more TV on the main level though.
Made great use of the fire pit on cool nights—obtaining fire permit was super easy!
Plenty of bed and bathrooms...only odd thing was the bathroom attached to king bedroom had no door and there was a window out to the stairway landing with no curtain, so no privacy, but overall not a huge issue.
House was fully stocked with cleaning supplies, and basic cooking necessities (spices, oils, pans, plates, utensils, etc).
Loved having the second full (mostly stocked as well) kitchen in basement for the additional storage.
Would definitely recommend this home for a fun lake house vacation.
I would do it again. It was quiet and very relaxing

Nice place for a short stay
Jeane was very accommodating. The house was nice and well kept. The queen bed was very firm, but everyone has their own preferences. We only stayed 3 nights, and didn't stay at the house much. It certainly served our needs

Great week at the pond
We had a very good time staying at this house. It was large, spacious and extremely clean. The community beach is just a few short steps away and we never had to load up our car with beach gear to get there. We walked down to the beach almost on a daily basis. The owner gave us very detailed information and instructions before we arrived, and I always felt that if there was a problem they could easily be reached. I would recommend this home to my family and friends for a relaxing vacation with the kiddos.

Very satisfied.
There were games and clear instructions as to the property care and surrounding facilities.
The grill and the outside fireplace were clean and nice added features.
Three levels of bathrooms was welcome to us old folk.
The near by lake access for fishing and swimming added to the facility attractiveness.
On the critical side we took it upon ourselves to replace many(the grocery store ran out) light bulbs in the bathrooms. The overhead main floor fan was not in working order . And the main floor undersized bed (billed as a queen size bed) was a disappointment.
We were happy with management's responsiveness and would be happy to recommend this property.

Response from VrboOwner on 2 Apr 2020
I so wish this guest had contacted me during his stay! I am always available to address any issues that arise. Finding the light strips of 8 or so bulbs in two of the baths both hot and too bright, we simply loosened a few in their sockets. No need to replace as they were not burned out. I was just made aware of the living room ceiling fan by another guest. It will be repaired or replaced. Lastly, the house listing is accurate. The bed on the main floor has a queen-sized mattress and box spring.

Private lot by the beach
We had two families staying at the house, 2 adults and two preteens per family. The owner, Jeanne, was very helpful and responded to our questions quickly and provided very good instructions. The house is very conveniently located by the beach to the lake. There is a basketball court at the beach parking lot, which we used a lot. The lake was very fun to troll around on our boats and the fishing was good. There were floating docks on the lake and a lot of nice people frequented the beach. Our kids met a lot of nice kids there. The Community Market is close by with many restaurants and good shopping close by. There is so much to do in the area, you can't do it all. We climbed Mt. Washington early on, then took our time doing other things. Jeanne has a book at the house with many useful suggestions and information about the area and the house. The house was just big enough for all of us. It had ample storage and refrigerators in the common areas, along with many appliances and utensils. There is a grill and a table on the quiet deck in front and a fire pit on the side of the house (many places sell wood). Minor things include some dampness in the lower level (dehumidifier there) and we are used to air conditioning (warm nights in Aug). The hot tub on the lower level is set up in the winter, so that would have been nice. Otherwise, a great house for us and our families. We would recommend this house to anyone visiting in the summer or winter.

Great house and location
We (two families of four) had a wonderful stay at Jeanne's house. She was incredibly responsive in her communications with us and provided us with all the necessary information for our stay. The house is right across from Eidelweiss beach and basketball courts, making it an ideal location for our two families with active children. The kitchen is well stocked with all needed cooking and grilling utensils, and there were more than enough beds for all of us. Wifi worked well and we loved that there was no TV on the main floor of the house, making outdoors and the view from the deck the main focus. The TV in the basement was used by the kids a few times, but they too spent most of their time outside. We also loved having a clothes line and fire pit in the side yard. There is no AC in the house, but the ceiling fans did a good job of keeping the air moving around. Loved hearing the blue jays and loons from our bedroom in the morning. Saw differnt kinds of pond turtles, a beaver, a woodpecker, and many fish in our travels through the neighborhood. Overall, it was a great stay. We will be contacting Jeanne in the future to book another week's stay!

Amazing house with great location.
This house has all the amenities we needed and was extremely comfortable. The location across the street from Edelweiss Beach was ideal. Loved walking out the door and to the beach with coffee each morning. Jeanne was very responsive to mid-visit contact for house information. Our family of five was very comfortable and happy here! I'd highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location and vacation home
This home is ideal for a family vacation . The home is spacious with a open space downstairs for rainy days, great for movies and family games. My family enjoyed the pond and other amenities on days we chose not to venture to far. We had an overall wonderful enlxperience and would definitely book again.

Far exceeded our expectations
This home was absolutely beautiful, from top to bottom, inside and out. We didn't realize just how close to the beach we were, yet still very private. Most mornings would walk to the beach early with our coffee and listen to the loons. The layout was fantastic, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Everything was updated with plenty of cooking utensils and such (made a sauce one day in the crockpot). The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We had more than enough space for our family of 2 adults, and 4 older kids (16 - 21). We had great weather and the ceiling fans in every room kept us all comfortable. There were a ton of games and things to do, the fire pit outside was great for watching stars. The deck was perfect outdoor living space with the beautiful views from inside the house with one whole wall of windows going from the first to second floor. There was even a little babbling brook on the side of the house that was very soothing in the woods. On our last morning as we were playing a game before checking out we saw 2 fawns and a large doe drinking from the brook then looking at us for a good 10 minutes through the family room looking window. They were so close! The owners gave us great customer service and it was truly a pleasure. We all would stay here again and highly recommend this home for a very relaxing vacation.

Why they chose this property
Close to everything the White Mountains offer. Beautiful beach is steps away even though house lot is very private. The best of both worlds!
