Perfect place for family to unplug
Stayed here during the Memorial Day weekend to unplug from the big city (we drove from the Long Beach area) and it took 3.5 hours. Charming little cottage right by a small creek. My children ages 4 and 7 adored finding small creatures and playing in the yard. We had a “picnic” outside each dinner time. Since it’s so close to the 100 Giants trailhead, we managed to get there early before the holiday rush and leave before craziness ensued. My husband enjoys fishing and Kern Lake is also close by. The house was extremely charming, mid century cottage themed, with all the creature comforts. It had everything I needed to cook all my family’s meals. Joanie the host is quickly available via messages. I hope to visit soon again!
