Wander Inn Retreat is a clean, inviting riverfront cottage with classic up-north features and a fresh, modern remodel. The home is appointed for year-round use, with summer-time yard games like KanJam and Yardzee, watersports equipment including kayaks and tubes, and an indoor fireplace, outdoor firepit and four season sunroom for chilly nights or rainy days. Whether you're looking for a fun-in the sun escape, or a fall night filled with star gazing and marshmallow roasting, Wander Inn will fill that need!

This home includes features designed to bring family, friends and loved ones closer together. A well appointed kitchen, outdoor grill and utensils, and outdoor dining furniture will make it easy to cook that fresh fish from the river, or steaks from one of our local Amish farmers.

★SLEEP SPACES★

BEDROOM 1: A large queen bed with premium linens, pillows and mattress.

BEDROOM 2: A large queen bed with premium linens, pillows and mattress.

BEDROOM 3: A twin over full bunk bed and separate stand alone twin bed and activity table for the kids.

All beds have two pillows per guest, one premium down fill and one down alternative fiber fill. Extra pillows and linens are available, and blankets are stocked for chilly nights.

A premium blow-up mattress is available upon request for additional sleeping space.

★COMMON AREAS★

LIVING ROOM / GREAT ROOM: The living room offers a large sofa, smart TV and wood log fireplace. Guests will be provided access to our Netflix and Disney Plus accounts or may use their own streaming services.

FOUR SEASON SUNROOM: There is also a sofa in the four seasons porch to relax on along with a small collection of DVDs and books on the shelf too.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances and every pot, pan, plate, utensil, cup or glass you would need for holiday cooking, baking & serving.

LAUNDRY / MUD ROOM: Washer and dryers are available for guests to use as needed.

BATHROOM: Towels and washcloths can be found in each room, and a few extra in the bathroom. There are also black washcloths in the bathroom for makeup removal.

FIRE PIT: The firepit is just far away enough from the home that the kids can sleep inside while the parents can enjoy some peace and quiet.

GRILL: A traditional gas grill is provided with space to feed the whole family

KAYAKS: We provide kayaks for our guests use.

TUBES: We provide river tubes for our guests use.

RIVER: The Muskegon River winds through the backyard with tall banks and a dock over the water’s edge.

FRONT PORCH: The front porch has outdoor dining and seating

RIVERFRONT STEPS: Custom timber constructed stairs with a multi-tiered structure provide easy river access and kayak launching.

★GUEST ACCESS★

Our guests have full access and use of the entire home and surrounding land. If you are unsure where the property lines end, please ask and we can assist! The privacy and safety of our guests and neighbors is very important to us.

Access is provided through a remote digital keypad, controlled through our Ring security system. Parking is convenient and close to the home, we only ask that guests do not park or drive on the lawn.

As a remotely located, rural home we manage travel times between our properties for turnovers between guests based on expected arrival times and the most efficient routes. Often, we can accommodate an earlier check in, just ask us in the days before your reservation and we will do our best to help!

Across the river is pristine, undeveloped land which never has visitors and with no development plans, so guests can have unincumbered views of the river and wildlife.

The home is private, secluded, and picturesque allowing you the freedom to enjoy yourselves while still being just a short drive to restaurants, stores and other conveniences. The surrounding cities and towns provide adequate dining options and we make recommendations in our guidebooks.
