Stick your Feet in the cool water, Catch a Fish, Float down to the James River, or Hike the nearby Jefferson National Forest Trails. Onsite & Covered parking ensures convenience, while Fiber Internet keeps you Connected. Your Perfect Getaway Awaits!

The main level of the home features a fully stocked kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, electric range, built-in microwave, toaster over & air fryer, coffee station, dining area, and bar top seating that looks through the living room to the great outdoors. A Smart TV and sound bar offer streaming apps for your entertainment. 3 comfy bedrooms welcome our guests, which feature quality mattresses and linens, luggage racks, charging ports and more. The Full Bath on this level has plenty of linens, a dispenser for shampoo, conditioner & body wash, as well as storage.

The Lower Level offers a 2nd Full Bath and another gathering area with a 2nd TV and PS4 game station. There's also a large dog crate and outdoor game supplies, as well as the laundry area. This level walks out to the lower patio and fenced yard, to the porch swing and fire pit.

The Back Deck offers mountain views and overlooks the large fenced yard punctuated by the bold and babbling Creek in the background, where you may see geese, kayakers and canoes occasionally floating by. The grilling deck features a Weber Gas and Weber Charcoal Grills.

Stroll along the walkway and steps down to the creek bank where you can put your feet in the water, fish or launch a kayak and float 2 miles to the junction with the James River. Jefferson Nation Forest is nearby, where just a few miles away is the Roaring Run Furnace where you can take an easy hike along a bold stream to a gorgeous waterfall.

This is a great place to get away and enjoy the peace of paradise, yet there are convenience stores and dining options with 5-7 minutes, great cell signal and fiber internet so you can stay connected.

You'll feel so at home here, the time will fly... and you'll wish your reservation was longer!

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please put all trash into bags (and only bagged trash into the large can outside). The trash can may be down at the mailbox depending on trash pick up schedule
Please do not strip bed linens, leave the used beds unmade… kindly start a load of the bath towels before you leave.
If you brought pets, please be sure to pick up Pet Waste from the yard and dispose of in a bag, for the trash.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please keep pets off furniture; Pet Bedding and Blankets are available. Soiled linens or furniture will result in a $100 extra cleaning fee.
Enjoy playing in the creek and/or floating downstream. However, please do not linger on the neighbors' shoreline across the creek, per their request

Amazing property and hosts. The home was amazing my grandmother aunt and uncle loved staying here during their visit gave them their own space from ours and this was their first time renting a house for a week it got them hooked and they are already talking about their next visit down.

Pictures don't do it justice!

This property is amazing! The creek is closer than it looks in the photos, access is easy, and the landscape is gorgeous! Peaceful, and spacious with lots of birds to keep us company. The firepit is perfectly placed for watching the moon rise and the stars shine. The house is small but clean, and the finished basement provides ample space for spreading out. Thank you for an amazing, easy and soul-filling time!

Perfect mountain retreat

From the very start the owners were very accommodating. The home had many more amenities then we expected it gave us a lot of extra free time and endless activities to our surprise already supplied by the owners. Relaxation

My husband and I a long with our 2 dogs had an extremely relaxing stay at the Comfy Creekside house. The kitchen was more than adequately stocked and organized as well as clean. Our dogs also wanted for nothing: extra bowls, bedding, and supplies. The fenced yard was great for them, and they also enjoyed wading in the Creek. Dayna even checked in on us, to make sure the dogs were happy in the yard. For me, most of my time was spent relaxing on the deck or the swing, reading and listening to the Craig Creek and all of the birds. At night, the Spring Peepers made music too. We ventured to Roaring Run Falls...short easy hike for us and our dogs. It was a super relaxing getaway.

Being in the real estate business, we come across a lot of properties... We were not looking for another home, but after recent trips to other places, we realized the the value of what we have right here in our back yard! So, we bought this as a second home to enjoy for ourselves, and to share with other travelers to our region.

Why they chose this property

The home and property has an incredibly comfortable and soothing vibe... the sound of the creek, the variety of bird calls, and the way the light plays all around... is just mesmerizing. Plus the 300' of creek frontage, and proximity to the James River and town of Eagle Rock, and the great internet and cell phone coverage (which is rare out this way!).... there were no drawbacks! We knew it was a gem.

What makes this property unique

Location is private but close-in. Condition of the home is great and its both cozy and spacious. On Craig Creek and near the James River & National Forest. Great Telecom connectivity. Fenced yard for our dogs. Solar Power. Plenty of parking. Love the Vibe.
