Spacious lakefront home with private boathouse and game room!

Lake Gaston is the perfect getaway for family and friends to gather for fun and relaxation!

Located in Henrico, Nc on Pea Hill Creek we are just a short boat ride from Wobble Island. Conveniently located 1.5-2 hours from Raleigh, 1.45 from Richmond, 2 hours from Virginia Beach and only 3-4 hours from DC! The main lake is minutes by boat and great for water skiing, wake boarding, boating, fishing, jet skis and much more! Lake Gaston has 350miles of shoreline, 34miles long and 1.3 miles across at its widest point.

We are specifically located on Pea Hill Creek. A quiet cove with direct access to the water from our private boathouse. Centrally located and close to grocery stores, restaurants and a boat launch. There is a miniature golf course just 1 mile down the road. We are also about 20 minutes from a local winery! Swimming, kayaking and floating is allowed off the dock being a no wake zone! The boat house has a slip available to park your boat when not in use. There are 5 kayaks and a stand-up paddle board to help get you out on the water having fun! Life preservers are available for safety.

The house itself has a beautiful lake view porch to drink your morning coffee and wake up slow. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms. Linens and bath towels are included (please bring your own beach towels) There are also 3 full bathrooms. Please note all bathrooms are on the first floor.

Stocked with all the comforts of home. A large dining table seats 8 and with a full kitchen, you can make meals for the whole family. The living room features a sectional sofa and extra chairs for time winding down. There is a 55' screen flat tv with sound bar and several entertainment options including Netflix, ESPN, Hulu, Disney+ and more. Games, cards, puzzled and a chess board for those who enjoy playing.

Outdoors you will find a firepit with some stocked wood nearby. A grill with the large outdoor eating area with umbrella to shade you after being on the lake. Cornhole, darts, foosball and ping pong are available in the sports shed!

We are in nature being outdoors near a lake, so be aware there may be wildlife on the property. We ask that you respect the wildlife and take care not to harm anything that may be living here.

While our home does not allow pets, it is not a pet free home. If anyone in your group is highly allergic to dogs, our home may not be a good fit for you. While we take great care to clean the home thoroughly, some people may still be sensitive to the fact that dogs have been in the house.

Everything written about the home is true, and we had a fabulous family reunion spending the weekend there. The grandchildren loved all the kayaks and paddle board for use on the lake, and we had three outstanding fires each evening. The house was very well stocked with everything imaginable too. We had gorgeous weather and rented a pontoon boat on Saturday, so we had a perfect vacation for sure. We would definitely recommend the house to anyone planning a trip to Lake Gaston.

Wish we had had more time to enjoy the lake! The property was well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The only real complaint was that it was unclear in the add that the two upstairs bedrooms were on a floor with no bathroom. This was inconvenient for adults of a certain age!

Perfect family rental!!

This house was exactly what our family needed! We were in town for a wedding nearby, and it was great that we could all stay together comfortably. We had a beautiful view every morning, went fishing and kayaking, and our teenagers were thrilled to have so many additional things to do (ping-pong, darts, chess, and video games). The house was clean, instructions were clear, and it had all of the kitchen items we needed, as well. I recommend it for a peaceful family getaway!

The house was great! It was very spacious for the 10 of us and very clean! The game was a great bonus that everyone had so much fun with. The boat dock was great for kayaking and tubing. The creek was so peaceful to kayak on. We rented a boat for one of the days at a near by marina and had an awesome day on Lake Gaston tubing and swimming. There was great restaurants near by and the Food Lion was very close for a dinner at home on the grill. Very nice shopping down town Littleton with a great brewery,Timber Water, that we played bingo at one night. The mini golf at the end of the road was a lot of fun! It was a very relaxing, enjoyable vacation!

Nice Place

We had a great week at Joe’s place. All the water toys you need and a covered boat slip. The home is well equipped with all you could possibly need and on a quiet inlet.

This was our first family vacation since 2010! Our family has grown so much since then -- this beautiful lakehouse accommodated all of us! It was such nice weather when we were there so we spent much of the day on the water -- swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The dock (at night time) was a great fishing spot! The guys caught at least 5 catfish! Later on in the week, we went to the mini-golf course that is just three minutes down the way. Super adorable! Honestly, this was an amazing trip and we had a great and comfortable stay at this house! What a great way to kick-off more frequent family vacations!

"We had a great time at this lovely house. The kitchen was well-stocked and spacious, making it easy to prepare family meals. Life at the lake.

Comfortable!!! Offers much for all. Good fishing. all toys for water fun, the game room was a hit..Full kitchen for family suppers.House is well equipped with all things including Bunnies in the Am. and hummingbirds thru the day.

Great space with everything you need!

What a phenomenal property! You can tell the owners truly take care of and think of everything for their guests... From labeling everything to make it easy to find, to the well stocked activities/games, to the provided dry goods and tupperware you often don't get, but need in a rental. There is plenty of space for everyone (shoot, the master closet could almost be another room with cribs or cots!) and so much to do! We loved the game shed and all the outdoor sporting/water equipment! We wish we would've stayed longer, but we will be back again!

Towels were in the dryer when we got there not in the bathrooms. Top sheets not on all the beds. It advertised a game room. The ping-pong table was without ping-pong paddles and busted ping-pong balls. We went out and bought our own. The grill was a disgusting mess. We tried to clean it two times to no avail and wound up grilling on other peoples burnt food. Windows were dirty with bugs.WiFi was a bit of a problem. We were charged a cleaning fee of 125 for very minimal issues. Not enough space in trash cans so we couldn’t take out all the trash. We left the creamer in the fridge that was there when we arrived and that was considered trash. We forgot to put a little cooler back in the closet and that was added to our bill as well as the owner being critical that we were 10 minutes past checking out. It was pouring down rain, and we did our best. Given some of the details that the house was missing would’ve thought that would’ve been some flexibility.

Our first lake vacation was awesome!!

We usually vacation in the OBX but decided to try something different this year. We are so please that we did! The house was beautiful and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked (could use a new frying pan or 2 though) and we had everything we needed. There was toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and even body soap in all of the showers. The lake was wonderful and right outside the front door. We LOVED the boathouse and spent the best part of everyday just hanging out playing in the shade of the boathouse and playing on all the provided toys. There were 5 kayaks with paddles and life vests. A paddleboard and a lily pad. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. We took early morning kayaking adventures and then came back to go pick up breakfast sandwiches at the Lake Gaston Coffee Company. We ate at several restaurants that we never packed and easy to get seating. All were delicious! The beds were comfy and large dining table and living room was perfect for our family. Linens and lots of towels were also included. Corresponding with the owners was super easy. This was my first time using VRBO but the entire experience was very easy. No problems finding the house or gaining access. We will definitely be visiting Lake Gaston again and using VRBO!
