The location was perfect, nice and quiet but close to everything. The building and apartment was very clean and pleasant. Our only issue was lack of a clothes dryer and the shower having very low water pressure and, at times, it was hard to get hot water. But all things considered this was a great spot.

When you travel outside your country you find the little conveniences missing. BUT this location had everything near to us and was beautiful and well maintained. Only downside was dark hallway at night but that’s it! Would stay here again!
Immaculate apartment in excellent, central location
The apartment was very clean, spacious and modern and had everything I needed. The location is ideal - fairly central, which means many sights are within walking distance. There is a handy mini-supermarket almost opposite the flat and several restaurants, but the road was not too busy - I had no trouble sleeping in the very comfortable king-size bed. Checking in and out went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this apartment.
This apartment was very clean and convenient. Rue du Cherche Midi is a great area with lots of nearby shops including a Carrtefour Express and a good boulangerie with long hours. Everything at the apartment worked! The large bed is very comfortable. The ability to open windows on both side of the apartment allowed for good air flow, even in warm weather. Street noise may bother some renters but double windows work very well when closed. Would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location. 2 major grocery stores within 2 blocks. Metro within 3 blocks. Elevator building. Spotless, quiet, warm. Several restos on the same street, Secure entry & well lighted. Very well equipped apt including kitchen. Comfortable king size bed & hide-a-bed couch. 3rd time there & we have booked for fall 2025. Best overall rental we have ever had in Paris. Always our 1st choice.
Quiet, clean, convenient, comfortable, modern, client-centric, well appointed. Bed is big and sufficiently firm. Hot water is hot and plentiful. Drains drain. Appliances are quirk-free. All manner of nearby eateries, shopping, and attractions. Fast wi-fi for the inevitable Zoom meetings. Great experience. Would definitely return.
The property is on a great lively street and close to metro stations. Great restaurants, cafes, markets, and boulangeries are all within walking distance. Bed was comfy and never had a problem with hot water. Couch was not comfy and pillows were hard. We had a long stay and only had 2 rolls of TP, 2 towels and 2 hand towels, w no dishwasher or laundry detergent. I don’t know if that’s usual but would’ve been nice. Check-in lady was very polite but didn’t speak English however we made it work! Highly recommend!
New, Modern, Kitchen and Bathroom. I could recommend a few more bowls for salad, cereals, soup. Lovely bedroom and linens. Living room with pullout couch and table/ chairs is sufficiently roomy and pleasant. Tiny balcony on back. I loved being there. We had a problem with reliable hot water which the owner, sympathetic did his best to solve that problem. Kathleen Wheelock
This perfect one bedroom, right in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres, was exactly what we were looking for. Walk to Musee d"Orsay, or Cafe de Flore, or Luxembourg Gardens? No Problem. I walked to all three. Want a little cup of coffee, or a quick meal close by. No problem. Brasseries and boulangeries are only steps away. We could not have been happier with the location, the service, the check-in and check-out process! I have posted this listing in an online Francophile group with rave reviews. You should see several bookings very soon! Hope to stay with you again next time we are in Paris!
Enjoyed our stay, especially the terrace. New location for us but got used to it quickly. Still not using the metro so walking to our favorites in the 4th and 7th was sometimes a hike. Did find some new favorites close by. May very well stay there again! Thank you.
After staying one month in Simon’s home we feel qualified to say how wonderful his small apartment is! Like you, the two of us read all the other reviews before committing, and I am happy to report there were no issues for us with either noise or hot water, as mentioned by one guest. Madame Catherine kindly explained how everything worked when we got there, and we soon discovered it took no more than 20-30 minutes to walk to most tourist attractions. And what a beautiful walk it is to amble through the 5th, 6th, and 7th arrondissements! I took French classes at nearby L’Alliance française, and if you are a foodie, you will appreciate La Grande Epicerie one block away, not to mention the best charcutière (Maison Verot), affineur (Quatres Hommes), and boulanger (Poilane) at your doorstep. I counted more than a half-dozen chocolate shops within a two-block radius as well as innumerable cafés and restaurants, the best of which being, IMHO, L’Abraise, 117 rue Cherche Midi. The spartanly furnished apartment is ultra clean and perfectly efficient; it is luminous and airy, and with the small terrace and elevator, it is very reasonably priced, especially considering the location. Terrific!
Our first time in Paris was excellent. The property was as-advertised and the cons below are largely out of the manager's and owner's hands.
CONS:
- The biggest issue was that the building's heat and hot water were unavailable during our stay. Cold showers arent the best, but it definitely wakes you up in the morning. To the credit of the property manager, she did provide a space heater so we could stay warm at night
- Hallway lighting was unavailable and a little dangerous given the unfamiliarity of the area.
- The combination washer/dryer was slow. Like, painfully. We ran two 4-hour dryer cycles and still had to dry clothes on the heated drying rack (the rack itself is a HUGE pro).
- On the exit, the property manager noted "additional" dings in the wall near the crank for the patio shutters. When we checked in, she pointed out the damage and we did not use the shutters, so we're unsure why she felt the need to point it again out afterwards.
PROS
- Elevator. Seriously, what a huge PRO.
- TONS of cafes, shops, pharmacies, and a very convenient distance to both metro and trains.
- This is a residential area, so it's quiet and you see more of the day-to-day and less of the tourist crowds
- HEATED TOWEL RACK. Given the cold showers we had to take, this was a godsend.
- Responsive property manager. While the owner is not in-country. his property manager is very responsive and helpful.
- Tons of dishes, cutlery, and enough pots and pans to make a quick meal. Also, lots of cleaning supplies.
Overall, our biggest complain was something out of the host's control. We had a lovely visit and would definitely recommend the listing to newcomers and repeat visitors. However, I'd also warn against using the dryer and either bring enough clothes to not need to use it, or opt to use the laundromat a few doors down.
The apartment is probably the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed at. Absolutely spotless! In fact, considering there are no soft furnishings, I would recommend this rental for anyone who suffers from asthma or similar allergies. Dust won't be a problem here.
We were impressed by high-quality appliances, fixtures, and fittings. The bed was very comfortable, as were the beddings. In the bedroom, there was also a spacious wardrobe with plenty of clothes hangers - not a given.
The location is excellent. There are 3 metro stops relatively near, so you are well connected - very easy to get to e.g. CDG using metro and RER B. There are small grocery shops, bakeries, and plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as Le Bon Marché, with its food court, La Grande Epicerie de Paris, just a block away. The street is relatively quiet, although you should make sure that you have earplugs if you like to sleep late - the bin men arrive around 7 am.
Both the owner, Simon, and Mme Catherine, who met us at the apartment and keeps it so clean, were quick to respond and very helpful, doing everything they could when there were issues with the building's communal heating/hot water system.
We hope to be back soon, if Simon will have us :)
This property was clean, well furnished and in a great location. The kitchen had many high end appliances that needed a degree to operate, pay close attention to Catherine’s instructions. She was great, even swept the terrace although I wasn’t going to use it in winter. I would also suggest the owner add a coffee table in the living area (nowhere to set your glass of wine when relaxing) and another set of eating utensils (only 4 of each, I was washing spoons and cups every two days). Located very close to three Metro lines. Note that the St. Placide station (line 4) is closed on Sundays, and Monday and Thursday evenings, through the summer.
In our favourite "arrondissement", one of the best apartments we've stayed in. Clean, comfortable, cosy in cold winter Paris, and very safe. The only drawback is the upstairs neighbours, who make noise until five in the morning. Mr. Flamenbaum contacted the manager of the building but the problem was not completely solved. So... take your soundproof earplugs.
Paris's 6th Arrondissement - a great neighbourhood to explore
The location - on Rue du Cherche Midi - was excellent. Both the building and the street were very quiet. With windows on both ends of the apartment, the unit was nice and bright. We were there for two weeks in November and found that the heating in the apartment worked very well. The building security and door locks made us feel very safe and having an elevator made getting luggage up to the third floor very easy. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area and several good grocery stores were only a block away. Very close to both the St. Placide and Rennes Metro stations so getting around the city was easy. Lots & lots of storage space for both clothing and food in cupboards, closets & drawers. A very well-equipped apartment in an excellent neighbourhood - we hope to go back again soon!
Proprietà in zona ben accessibile a negozi, metro, mercato, trasporti, quartieri tipici.
È stata una bella settimana e ci siamo sentiti a casa.
Uns fehlte an nichts.
Es mangelt an nichts. Mittendrin, trotzdem ruhig.
We jsut enjoyed our second stay in this great 6th arrondissement modern apartment. Beautifully designed use of space. Fully equipped. Mme. Catherine was very helpful as owner's representative.
