"My family and I (2 adult...

"My family and I (2 adults 3 children) enjoyed 10 nights in this wonderful apartment. Location was perfect - I cannot imagine staying anywhere else! Philippe & Connie were fabulous hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Philippe''s communication prior and during our stay was excellent - best I''ve experienced in any apartment rental. The apartment was as pictured on the website - very comfortably furnished, and 2 of our children had no problems with the sofa bed (a new mattress delivered during our stay!). The mezzanine bed was perfect for our teenage son, and the main bedroom very comfy. The kitchen had all we required, and the wifi, tv etc all worked perfectly. The laundry facilities also a great bonus, and the bathroom certainly met our needs. The apartment is above a fromagerie (also sells wine and gourmet produce), boucherie (fantastic jambon blanc, saucisson and french bacon)and a boulangerie, with the 2 best gelato stores across the road - what more can one want in Paris? We all walked everywhere - the central location was perfect for exploring the river and it''s sights. The bells of Notre Dame start tolling at 9am, and just added to the experience. Isle St Louis itself is delightful, with many shops and braseerie''s. We mostly self catered however did enjoy treats from the local cafe''s and shops. I cannot recommend highly enough staying in this wonderful apartment, and in fact have recommended to many friends already. We hope to visit again and would not want to stay anywhere but here! Just magic... Thank you Philippe and Connie for your wonderful hospitality and your patience in answering our questions - our stay in Paris was all the more wonderful for having stayed in your apartment. "We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your apartment. It became our family home to retreat to when we had walked too far or were overloaded from all the wonderful museums, and buildings in Paris.It is so centrally located and comfortable.Thank you so much for the bottle of wine we enjoyed it! Our eldest son enjoyed your reliable wi-fi as he had 3 uni assignments to submit and the previous 2x accomodation had been very unreliable with wi-fi so he was stressed! Paris turned on great weather and we had a fantastic time. Thank you to Connie.She is so helpful and her english is excellent, she removed any anxieties I had about not speaking French and being in Paris. We hope to see her when she next comes to Amaroo. Also thanks to Jean-Pierre for getting us to the airport safely. We look forward to recommending your apartment to our friends."

"We very much enjoyed our stay in the apartment on Ile St Louis. The apartment is situated in a vibrant area of Paris, with most major tourist sites easily accessible by foot or via the nearby metro. You really feel like you are staying in a village, but you are right in the middle of city. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Right outside the apartment can be found a full range of shops and restaurants. From the start, both Phillipe and his assistant, Connie, made us feel very welcome and made every effort to be helpful, including advice regarding transport, the local area, cultural events, etc. Both before and during our stay, every question was speedily responded to. We would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking for an ideal place to stay in Paris."

"The apartment was in an ...

"The apartment was in an excellent location from which to see the key sights of inner city Paris. It is only minutes from the Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Chapelle and the Conciergerie yet in a residential area with a homely feel and even a boulangerie at street level for breakfast croissants and the daily baguette. We attended several wonderful concerts in St Louis en L'Ile, a beautiful church only a few doors away. Although the apartment was built in the 17th century it has all the mod cons we needed to ensure an enjoyable stay. The owner and local host were welcoming, helpful and available to answer our questions. We have no hesitation in recommending it as ideal city accommodation for a couple in Paris."

"Our family of four staye...

"Our family of four stayed at this apartment for 10 nights in April and are very happy with our choice. The location (Île Saint-Louis) is best in Paris - we walked everywhere and always had Berthillon ice cream on the way back home. Also try the Boulangerie Ile St. Louis - it has best baguettes and croissants in Paris. Ile Saint-Louis is always full of strolling people during the day - ideal for people watching, and very quiet at night - we never had a problem with the noise. The apartment had everything we needed - spacious modern bathroom, nice kitchen with plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery, etc. We also liked very much the feeling from this 16th century building. Philippe and Connie were very helpful. Will be definitely staying here on our next visit and will recommend it to all our friends."

Spacious apartment in an excellent location

We loved our 9-night stay at Philippe’s apartment. It was a warm, cozy place with a large living/dining area and plenty of space to store our luggage. We always travel with a white noise machine, so if there was any noise we didn’t notice. We didn’t meet Philippe face to face, but communication with him was excellent. Rebecca manages the apartment and was very helpful and easy to contact as well. There was absolutely no problem entering or leaving (always a concern for us) as Rebecca was there to let us in, and the taxi driver used by Philippe for getting to CDG was prompt and friendly. The location was ideal, as there were three metro stops not far from the apartment. My wife and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. The only downside was having to carry our bags up to the second floor (3rd floor US). Also, the internet was a bit spotty for the first two days but a repair person came by on day 3 and everything was fine after that.

I wish I could have stayed longer. As others have said, it feels more like a home than other places listed. I cooked some simple meals and was pleasantly surprised to see excellent pans in the cupboard. The hot water is almost instantaneous in all faucets which I also appreciated. The bathroom and living area is spacious with is also rare to find in Europe. The neighborhood is charming and neighbors helpful. There's an amusing cat on an upper floor who walks herself down to the ground floor and waits for the next random resident to unlock the atrium door and let her out for a stroll. Don't hesitate to book this home, you will be comfortable and may just feel like at local.

Lovely apartment on Ile Saint Louis

We loved this location but would warn older people of the stairs anywhere in Paris. Most buildings don’t have elevators and it’s awkward to get suitcases up and down. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and we’re able to walk to most of the sites in Paris. We also had lots of shops, restaurants and galleries on the island.

Great location!

Great location on Saint Louis en L’isle. Deuxieme etage. Only negative is early morning garbage being picked up from courtyard. There is a good boulangerie next door for croissants. Owner is helpful and the pickup from the airport is a nice plus for tired travelers.

WONDERFUL PLACE ON ILE SAINT-LOUIS

This is a charming apartment in a great location. The apartment is centrally located with many nice restaurants and shops right at your doorstep. The metro stop by Notre Dame is a short walk that will get you to Versailles and Eiffel tower with no changes. We walked to the Louvre and Pompidou. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Communication was very good and the whole process simple.

Perfect location for left or right banks

We very much enjoyed our two week stay in the apartment. The location is perfect for all activities. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. We experienced two minor problems - the Wi-Fi stopped temporarily and one set of apartment keys stopped working but Phillipe responded very quickly and both issues were solved promptly. We recommend this apartment very highly.

FABULOUS APT. & LOCATION

My daughter and I stayed here for a week. The location was near to ALL. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, everywhere: over the bridge to the Notre Dame and more shops. Beautiful and safe streets for walking everywhere. We were met by Connie,: the check in was simple. People we met raved about Rue San Louis, and the island it's on. The bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen area were both spacious and very clean. Great for people watching thru the large and airy front windows. Many circular steps going up to the apt. Good for the legs. LOL
