About the host
Your host
I am a retired TV Producer - everything from food shows to music and exploration. My wife is a retired publisher. We are from London and widely travelled - we enjoy meeting people and sharing our knowledge of the region to suggest many of the interesting trips and destinations here and in the Dordogne a fee miles away. (including our favourite restaurants!) We live on the site and speak English and French.
Why they chose this property
To us this place is what France is all about. Strong communities, friendly people (be prepared for lots of hand shaking!) a sense of History, good food (eating is an important social event here - they don't just eat to avoid starvation!) and masses to do and see from the famous caves at Lascaux and canoeing and swimming on the Dordogne to vineyard visits (with sampling) fascinating chateaux and historic house, wartime resistance locations and a spectacular vehicle museum to name just a few. Come and see for yourself.
What makes this property unique
For a start we are right in the heart of the old town though its is surprisingly quiet The apartment is cool in summer, well appointed with multi channel French and English language TV, a new kitchen with a patio eating area outside.
The plunge pool is through a gate at the side of the house. So you are ideally placed to chill out here or go off on day trips ad then come back and freshen up before going out to explore the town’s many restaurants, from Pizza and international cuisine to more authentic french dishes and vibes. Many price points.
