THE SPACE & THE EXPERIENCE

We have traveled all over and know the struggles of navigating a new place for the first time and trying to find an Airbnb late at night after a long day of travel - that is why we provide a very easy self check-in that includes pictures and videos so you won't feel like are in the middle of a scavenger hunt.....we are available via text for any questions but we aim to answer all questions before you ask them so you can spend your time in Austin enjoying it!

The ATX Dome has 23’ high ceilings, 3 beds + Couch, 1.5 luxury baths, a hot tub, outdoor shower, full wrap around porch w/ patio lights, full kitchen w/ everything you need to cook, amazing stereo, and a view to die for (seriously one of the best views of the city you can find) - book your stay here and you'll treasure the experience for the rest of your life!

From the second you book, our goal will be to make your stay as easy, relaxing, and memorable as possible.

THINGS TO NOTE

Our home comes with a kitty cat named Prince (he is in one of the pictures) - he's lived at the Dome all of his life and will spend his time outside if you aren't interested in a feline companion.

Had a excellent experience renting one bedroom.

Beautiful view. Quiet. Accessible. As a paid lobbyist for 4 months, I was able to rend a bedroom and have complete access to other parts of the home. It was perfect for my hectic schedule and needing to unwind when I arrived home. Great customer service. Accurate listing of the location. Would stay many times more.

Gorgeous home.

Would recommend if you are looking for something secluded and unique within 10 minutes of downtown Austin. Looks just like the listing except the house is even more impressive on the inside because the ceilings are so high and the views are expansive. Sean was a great host, very attentive and easy to communicate with. Strongly recommend.

Geodome in West Austin hill country

This was a little bit of wilderness in the hills above Austin. Deer would practically come up to you and the beautiful deck had a gorgeous view of Austin. The home was eclectic with a spacious open design and well stocked kitchen. It even came with a delicious quiche! The homeowner was gracious and welcoming. Easy 10 minute drive th nice restautants and 15 minute drive into Austin. Great place to feel like you are away from it all but easy to get to it all when you want to! Recommend as a romantic get away!

Lindsey is the owner of American Dance Training Camps and has traveled extensively throughout the world including OVER 35 countries with Sean over the last 4 years. Sean handles most of the duties at The SWAP Lofts (Stay Work And Play) as well as most of the communication with guests for our properties and the others that we help CoHost.

Chris's Story (The Owner): My husband built our Geodesic Dome in 1971 when West Lake Hills was beginning to develop. West Lake Hills is a small city (4.5 square miles) within the city of Austin. We opened up the view to the spectacular sight of downtown Austin and beyond. I'm a retiring registered dental hygienist and after a 43 year career, I became very interested in doing Short Term Rentals and open my Dome to our community, I'm very excited about the concept of community.

Being part of your community at home as well as touching guests from all over the world is what makes the world go around.I love being part of it all. I've lived in the Dome for 25 years....I LOVED living here and being able to share it now with you, my guests. There have been so many happy memories here and I know you will always remember the totally awesome Geodesic Dome you stayed in Austin, Texas!

What makes this property unique

This a very unique structure...With a 23 ft ceiling, the structure is like nothing you've ever seen. There are 99 triangles in an original Geodesic Dome. The view is breathtaking. The front of this property with 2 story wall of windows which face the east. The windows are made of rectangular and triangle shaped windows. The living room is full of indirect morning sun and Downtown View of Austin. The deck is full of beautiful seasonal flowers and the yard and hillside full of beautiful Texas native plants such as Texas Purple Sage bushes, and blooming yellow, orange and luscious purple and yellow lantana and Mexican Bird of Paradise and Pride of Barbado. Gardens full of my favorite succulents and palms everywhere.
It's totally my Perfect Piece of Private Paradise. It can be yours!

Seven minutes away is Zilker Park and Barton Springs Swimming, a natural springs pool in the middle of downtown Austin. Zilker Park is an expansive 361 acres Park full of so many as the Hike and Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake, Paddle boarding on the lake along with kayak and canoe rentals Bike rentals are also available. This unique property is like nothing you've ever experienced. I'm in love with it because of the total privacy. The deck is so enjoyable in the mornings with a cup of tea or coffee, a yoga mat or a good book. At night with the yard lights on and a view of the city lights sitting in comfortable deck furniture with a cold beer or glass of wine is a beautiful way to end your day at my "Dome Sweet Dome". Your stay will be full of good vibrations you'll feel as soon as you step onto the property. 1.5 acres on the hillside above Lake Austin overlooking Downtown Austin and the city lights is so unbelievably beautiful.
The dome is surrounded with privacy, relaxation and a great place to totally "get away from it all". You will be smothered with southern hospitality and good vibrations!
