Where simplicity meets solitude. Find connection in this scenic mountainous retreat. Enmeshed in the natural landscape, this space is only accessible via unpaved roads and a steep 1200’ driveway. This is not a problem for most people in the summer months, however it is imperative you know where you are going in order to access whether this space is what you are looking for. Even the journey here is part of the adventure. *4WD/AWD & snow tires are essential during winter & early spring due to the possibility of snow or mud*
This property requires a lot of upkeep. The steward will likely be onsite during your stay, however the whole house will be exclusively reserved for the duration of your stay.
This home was handmade by artists in 1984, nestled between forest, meadow, stream, and sky. Whether it's the owls or the stars singing you to sleep, you will leave feeling rejuvenated. With swimming holes nearby, and woods to be explored just outside the front door, this secluded site is perfect for a private getaway or a group gathering.
This unique structure is a composition of iron, and cement called ferrocement construction. The molding of reinforcing iron, and following layers of cement give the structure its dome shape. This space was originally built off grid, but as of last year is electrified. Enjoy modern amenities in the middle of the woods including fridge, washer/dryer, hot/cold running water, Wifi. The driveway is roughly 1200' and can be inaccessible without the correct equipment. You will need snow tires during the winter months, and 4WD/AWD during mud season March/April.
This space will rejuvenate & inspire.

the castle in the grass/ an interesting assemblage!
The facilities were as described; everything that was needed was easily accessible. When we couldn't find something, Nate was on hand to give us the guidance we needed.
We had an awesome stay at Nate’s place! The stone architecture and wood oven fireplace gave a truly unique experience, and the house was very spacious. The fully equipped kitchen made for anxenjoyable cooking experience. Nate was also flexible and responsive. Definitely recommend this for your weekend getaway home!
The dome home is a gorgeous architecturally unique place. It is well appointed, with well kept plants, a little library, instruments, and a functional kitchen. It’s just an incredibly fun place to stay. There is a spectacular short hike ending in a swimming hole nearby. I suspect we will be back.
The place was like something out of a fairy tale. We had our grand daughters with us and the theme was princess. They dressed up and decorated. It was really fun. They played outside and inside, plenty of room. Everything we needed was there. The frig was large enough to keep everybody well fed.
My friends and I stayed at the dome home for a weekend during August. The home is as advertised: uniquely constructed and had 6 individual bedrooms. We also loved visiting the swimming hole which is about a 30 minute walk or 4 minute drive from the property. Would recommend planning ahead to minimize driving on and off the property (i.e. get all groceries before arriving) because the road is fairly rocky.
The dome home was a relaxing weekend getaway to celebrate our 40th year of existence. One caveat is that I can't remember if the listing mentions that one of the bedrooms is up some very steep stairs so be aware of that when booking. Also, because of the nature of a concrete structure it did hold in some heat in the upper rooms. There were fans and window AC units provided in several rooms. There were also lots of interesting nooks and crannies.

Hi Ashley
Thanks for the review.
As for the tower room, due to access needs this room is not listed as a bedroom in my listing description.
I list a 5BR and provide 5BRs between the first and second floor, the room up the spiral staircases should be considered a bonus and is not counted in the listing description.
Thanks for your business
Nate
Our group needed two things: lots of room for people to sleep and somewhere peaceful to relax and we got that all and more! The house is beautiful and the surrounding property is right out of a fairy tale. Nate is great to work with and the house was immaculate when we arrived. The house is wild and fun- some spot you gotta watch your head! It’s cozy though and great for inspiration and relaxing. If you don’t want to hear the rest of the group, this isn’t the house for you… sound carries! But that is minor compared to the breathtaking views and beauty of the space. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Nate was very responsive and great to work with. The house was clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen had exactly what we needed to cook meals for our family of 9 people. The drive to the house is an adventure in and of itself so take Nate’s advice seriously - you’ll need a four-wheel drive vehicle and a steady nerve, especially after it rains. Two trees came down and blocked the road while we were on our way back to the house after dinner in Bennington. Fortunately there were some locals ready to help clear the road. The house is super cool, completely different from any place we’ve ever stayed at before. It reminded us of a Hobbit house and we had a lot of fun with it.We would love to stay there again.
