The whole process of check in, with Lorenza meeting us at the water taxi drop off point and walking us to the apartment with a full tour was perfect. The apartment is so beautifully decorated with relics from other countries. It is stocked with all the necessary items and the roof top deck for sunset was a highlight. Alessandra gave us very nice restaurant recommendations and was great at communicating.

We loved this antique and art-filled apartment! Alessandra’s apartment is well loved and obviously a home, not just a rental. The views from the Altana are stunning! Love this place.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, spacious apartment. The host and property manager were both very kind and were always helpful with suggestions. The property is perfectly situated with a rooftop panoramic view of the city. Highly recommend this beautiful apartment to explore Venice!

Beautiful views away from the hustle and bustle.

We had a wonderful stay at Alessandra’s apartment. It was spacious, comfortable and felt like home. We were met at San Stae and guided to the apartment. It’s in a great, quiet location; very convenient to have a cafe right downstairs and short walk to the supermarket. And you’re never more than a few minute walk from the Grand Canal. The crown jewel of this place, as others have mentioned, is the 360* rooftop terrace. Stunning views and a peaceful space to eat and drink while taking in the beauty of Venice. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Charming and Spacious

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Lorenza, the host’s assistant, met us as we disembarked from the water bus and walked us to the apartment. The apartment was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. There are coffee shops, restaurants and bars close by. Alessandra, the host, was very responsive to our questions, both pre-arrival and post arrival. She even arranged for a water taxi to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. I forgot to mention the roof top patio…stunning views! Great place and would absolutely stay again!

Beautifully restored apt!

My first words walking into this apt was "fabulous". Its open concept with many windows makes it very bright. We loved the wood beamed ceiling! Master bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed going to the local market and cooked some nights while enjoying a glass of wine on the spectacular roof terrace. All in all this the the apt you want to stay in while visting Venice. You can easily walk to all the main sights. The Vaporetto stop is very close by as well. We really enjoyed our stay here. You won't find anything better! We had everything we needed. Thank you Alessandra for all your helpful info & kind advice. Much appreciated!!

Absolutely stunning view!!

We stayed here in June 2019 and wouldn't stay anywhere else if we return to Venice! There is nothing better than the 360 degree view over the rooftops. We spent a lot of time with takeout pasta, a glass of wine and some Italian music just enjoying the views and listening to the church bells ring. Our teenagers still talk about our time up on the roof patio - you won't want to miss it! There are stairs to get up to the top floor of the property, so that is something to consider if you can't do stairs well. The apartment itself is fine - we honestly were out and about our sitting on the deck the majority of the time. Everything you need is provided, it is quaint and clean. Get pasta takeout at the little shop right below the apartment - it is SO delicious, inexpensive and easy. Thanks for the experience!

This central home-base was a breath of fresh air!

Alessandra’s flat is absolutely breathtaking and the only place we’ll stay in Venice! Alessandra was so responsive and flexible and helped us arrange a late-night check-in, following our 9pm arrival. We were picked up by a water taxi at the airport and met Lorenza, who guided us the short (100m?) walk from the drop-off point to the flat and very kindly introduced us to everything inside. Speaking of the water taxi, Titti's service was exceptional. Cruising into Venice by water taxi was an unforgettable experience — we asked Titti for another ride back to the airport when we left! The flat itself was so perfect for our 10-day trip. With its airy open plan and pristine features, every corner was elegant and comfortable. The panoramic rooftop terrace was our personal haven. Starting our days with breakfast at sunrise and capping them off with Prosecco at sunset, the views and ambiance from the terrace were unparalleled. Its central location meant we could immerse ourselves in the city, and yet never be too far away to escape the bustling streets below. The breezy windows and AC saved us from the Venetian heat. Having such an open and airy refuge meant that even during the city's busiest moments, we never felt overwhelmed. We could even comfortably work remotely when needed. The amenities too were top-notch. We cooked several meals, kept a small pantry of food, and completed several loads of washing during our stay. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

A unique apartment with beauty!

They say ‘first impression lasts’, but when the same is excellent it makes you wonder if it may be too good to be true. With this apartment however, everything was even better than expected. As this was a 40th birthday surprise for my “picky” fiancé, I wanted to find something really special, and that is exactly what I did. As you walk through the door onto the beautifully cut wooden flooring, you cannot help but look up to see the characteristic high beamed ceiling and mezzanine floor. Everything is spotless and you cannot wait to see the rest of this spacious apartment including the roof terrace with a striking and literally 360° view over the roof tops of Venice. The classy interior follows through, combined with a homely taste as well as an impressively modern bathroom and kitchen. After a day of “must do’s” in the busiest part of the city with beer for 8 euros per glass, the perfect end is a few minute walk back to your own relaxing area amongst the locals where a glass of wine is 2 euros. Alessandra, who owns what really feels like your home for the duration of your stay, makes it even more special with her personal touch. From the moment she replies to your enquiry, you could not ask for a better personal service with all her tips, ideas and answers to all your questions. This is the perfect place to stay however you spend your days in Venice. We keep recommending it to friends and family, because you cannot beat it!

We stayed at Alessandra’s penthouse apartment for four nights in early October. The place was clean and had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and even a rooftop terrace with a great view. It features many custom-made elements such as bookshelves, doors, and a loft. It’s decorated with high-quality antique furniture and marble. The bed was comfortable, with a cashmere blanket. The space was more than enough for just the two of us. The bathroom was spacious with a fantastic shower. There are 69 stairs to reach the apartment, but we didn’t mind at all. The stairways are wide, making it easy to carry our suitcases. Lorenza met us at the water taxi stop (80 Euro from Saint Lucia train station. It’s very expensive but convenient.), just a few minutes from the apartment, and showed us around. I appreciated that Alessandra sent me restaurant recommendations, places to visit, and transportation info well in advance. The rooftop terrace was an ideal spot for morning coffee and an aperitivo. We walked 5 minutes to San Stae, a Vaporetto station, to get to the Marco Polo airport for returning home, which was super easy for 18 Euro. We would definitely stay at Alessandra’s place again!

The only thing negative was that this is not really meant for two couples—our mistake—the upstairs single beds were not comfortable for adults, though would have been great for kids. Everything was wonderful about the apartment and our stay. The apartment itself is lovely, clean, well equipped, unique and comfortable. We loved the rooftop deck. The AC was much appreciated! The host Alessandra and her local contact Lorenza were both very responsive and clear with all communication. The neighborhood was perfect, very central but very quiet during the nights and mornings. There is a good bakery downstairs. We would recommend to anyone who does not mind stairs and in relatively good shape. We would stay again if we visit again. Thank you!

Extremely Cute Apartment!

This property is extremely cute, located up four or five flights of steps at the very top of the building and located in a great location accessible to all popular locations. The host provided a lot of great recommendations for resturaunts that locals eat at. There is a bakery at the corner of the building that we used every morning to get cappuccino, espresso and croissants. The host also suggested a water taxi that we used when we arrived and left. We had a 5:00 am pickup with the water taxi and it worked out great to get us to Marco Polo airport that early in the morning.The drop off point of the water taxi is very close to the apartment, making it convenient to get to the apartment with all of our bags. The property manager, Lorenza met us where the taxi dropped us off and walked with us to the apartment. She went over everything in the apartment and answered all our questions. We had a little issue with the AC split units on the first day in the apartment, but that could have been user error. Lorenza was very quick to respond and came over immediately to help make it work properly. There is a gorgeous view from the private rooftop terrace only accessable from this apartment. We sat out there every night and enjoyed the sunset with breathtaking views. This apartment is a 100% must book.

Great Venice Apartment

My husband and I were traveling with our 2 adult children and this was the perfect apartment for us during our stay in Venice. Alessandra is a great host, providing many recommendations for everything from restaurants to water taxis. And I cannot say enough great things about Lorenza the property manager. Our train arrived later than planned and she patiently waited for us at the vaporetto stop, guiding us from the train station to the correct water bus line. And despite it being late, she took the time to show us around the apartment and ensure we were settled and had everything we needed. The location is fabulous - The views from the rooftop are spectacular and the cafe right downstairs is a must stop for breakfast each day. We also appreciated the air conditioning as it was quite warm during our stay at the end of May. As mentioned in a few other reviews, just be aware there is no lift - it wasn't a problem for us but just be prepared to climb the stairs with your luggage. Highly recommend this property for your Venice holiday.

Delightful in every way

We stayed a week. The flat is in an excellent location. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Also delightful in its design, furnishings and artwork. It is a dream cottage in the sky. I would give it 10 stars if possible. A water taxi from the airport or train station will land you 100 yards from the front door. If you arrive by train it is a short 10 minute walk. We loved this flat.

Un point de chute très cosy

Très bel appartement, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et très bien équipé. Le café au son des cloches sur la petite terrasse me restera en mémoire! Très bien placé, beaucoup de restaurants et commerces à proximité. Il est très facile d'accéder aux principaux sites touristiques à pied ou en vaporetto. Je recommande.

Best Place We Stayed in Italy

Worth the steps to the apartment!!! The views were magnificent. The apartment was incredible!! Waking up each morning and opening the shutters to the streets below felt like I lived there. Centrally located. Coffee/pastry shop downstairs was a MUST each morning. Highly recommend.
