Great location. Lots of places to hike and to watch the ocean. Clean quiet cottage. Many artists display in the area. Good places to dine in Damarascotta.
Janet's place was the most comfy and relaxing place we have stayed in Maine for 25 years! A slice of paradise and we can't wait to visit again next year! Private, quiet, peaceful and beautifully decorated!

Dear Susan and David,
I am so pleased you embraced Maine and enjoyed yourselves at the cottage. Please come back again.
Janet
Janet is the most gracious hostess and the house was lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable, the furnishings cozy and the deck and porch were perfect for lounging in the sea breeze. The outdoor shower and ability to explore the tide pools just down the banking were our favorite parts; right behind the quick walk to the light house, which made our stay and explorations so convenient and relaxing.
Janet's cottage was perfectly cozy and welcoming with an amazing view of the sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. It definitely felt like home.

Thank you for staying with us. We love watching the sunsets too from the front porch.
Janet was very helpful and accommodating as we stayed in her cottage while moving into our new house. When our furniture was delayed she let us stay extra days. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Thank you.
This was a perfect place to stay to experience Pemaquid Point. The cottage is stunning. Janet clearly loves this place and it shows ! It was clean and quiet and every view was spectacular. We will definitely be staying again. I cant say enough good things. Thank you Janet for sharing your beautiful space with us!
Pretty view and the sunsets were gorgeous. Towels and linens were clean and nicely presented. The kitchen was not stocked with useable cookware. Everything was old or broken. Glad we know how to use a french press. We had to go buy our own lobster pot and utensils. There was no TV or cd player. We like to read but kids might not appreciate this. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back due to the condition of the kitchen amenities. Made cooking impossible.
Janet was very accommodating and very responsive. This beautiful cottage was beautifully decorated with lots of cozy blankets, pillows, candles, lanterns, books and items related to the area. Attention to detail was paid in every corner.
Gardens are breathtaking and flowers can be viewed from every location within and outside.
Although we did not have an opportunity to use the outside shower, we were quite curious and will have to book again for this opportunity.

So glad you enjoyed fall at Pemaquid Point. It was our pleasure sharing our home with you.
This cottage was perfect for our stress free getaway! It provided us with privacy and close enough to explore pemaquid lighthouse and beach along with other attractions. The cottage itself was beautiful with special little touches in every nook and cranny. Everything you could possibly need was stocked at the cottage. My favorite was the beautiful screened in porch. My husband and I ate out there whenever we stayed in and cooked. We also enjoyed birdwatching on the deck as the bird feeders attracted such a nice variety of birds. The hostess was very easy to communicate with and very prompt and helpful in her responses. We will definitely stay there again if we ever visit that area of Maine again.
When we sought a property for our trip, we looked specifically for a place that had two bathrooms as well as a television (for better or worse, it fills the gaps at the end of the day). This property does not have those and even after I mentioned this, no changes to the listing have happened. The location of the property is terrific, the screened deck was a pleasure and the communication was very good but only one of the beds was of a high standard. My mother stayed in the room with two beds and each one had some issues for her. I can respect that some of these issues might have no concern for people who might stay here but the incorrect list of amenities affected our trip.
This cottage is in a great location, a few minutes from the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and the little restaurant, ice cream shop, and gift shop, plus a gallery filled with reasonably priced art. It's not far from Round Pond and Damariscotta. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and you can walk to the Point from the cottage.
The large deck gets sun nearly all day and affords a view of the sunset over the water. Janet has lovely gardens, filled with hydrangea, black eyed Susan, phlox, autumn clematis, etc.
There is one bathroom and an outside shower. A big screened porch and cozy living room. The queen size bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on.
We were incredibly lucky to have perfect weather every one of the 5 days we were there. We took the boat to Monhegan, had lobster at Pemaquid Seafood, and dinner at The Bradley Inn, and we drove up to McLoon's in South Thomaston for a lobster roll.
Blue Moon was a perfect choice!
Let me start by saying Janet is a wonderful host. She was very helpful with our booking and questions we had. Her suggestions of where to go and what to see were spot on. Her response to our questions were quick.
This beautiful cottage felt like home the moment we walked in. All the essentials and more could be found here. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and bits of whimsy peeking out from everywhere. There is a large screen porch that feels more like part of the house with comfortable wicker furniture full of pillows and blankets for those cool mornings and cooler evenings. Along with a nice table and chairs. The view of the water is great and there is a path to walk down to the water with a beautiful bench to sit and watch the fisherman and birds.
We can't wait to book next year. Thank you Janet.
A short four night stay that we always wish was more! The house is cozy, relaxing and lovely!
Our second time at this cozy home with quiet outside porch(inside too!) and gardens, whiffs of and views of the ocean! Starting to plan our trip there next year! An area that is surrounded by beauty and memories for over 30 years.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely little cottage. The view and location were wonderful!

About the host
Hosted by Janet Collins-Haffey
I am retired from Boston Public Schools, Special Education Department. My daughters are grown and continue to come back every summer to enjoy Pemaquid Point. I spend early mornings gardening, walking at crack of dawn and bird watching. I love to antique, head to the beach, hike the Bristol preserves and kayak. Everyday in Maine is most certainly an adventure.
Why they chose this property
My neighbor sold this property to us when she could no longer make the drive up from Florida. She liked to garden and knew I was in love with her beach roses....the scent just heaven.
What makes this property unique
My raspberry patch in the backyard brings such joy. I love picking the raspberries and eating them early in the morning. The fireplace throws lots of heat on cool nights. My outdoor shower is heaven.
