Very good accommodations. I would stay again. I recommend for anyone that wants a quiet clean vacation. It is very convenient to Murphy with all its attractions.
Property was very clean and had everything we needed for our 2 day stay. View is amazing with beautiful sunrise. Owner was quick to respond when I had a question. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
This was a wonderful place to stay, rest and relax. It was beautiful, very clean, the view of mountain was spectacular, quiet and perfect. I have no complaints about the cabin. My GPS took me down a wrong road, but i called the owner and she guided me in and stayed with me on the phone till i got to the cabin. I appreciated that very much. The back porch had a table to eat and play games as well as comfortable chairs and couch to relax and enjoy the view of the mountain. Plenty of space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Truly i just dont have anything but good things to say about this place. I have already told several people and will be back next year.
The house was very clean and perfect for 3-4 people. The porch is great with an amazing view. Quiet little group of houses on a mountaintop. 10 minutes from town. House was stocked with everything we needed. Host friendly and responsive. Will stay here again.
This property has an amazing view, which is why I gave it an excellent review. It is up high, which you become keenly aware of as you make your way up to the cabin. Being from Indiana, I was not used to the steep, winding roads. The cabin was clean and provided us with everything we needed for a short stay. The cabin appears to be an older structure that has been remodeled.

The view is spectacular. We practically lived on the porch to take in the vista. But the furnishings are very dated and parts could use cleaning. There was a screw-up in the check-in process. We discovered that no toiletries were supplied after checking in. I've never been to a VRBO without basic toiletries (bath soap, shampoo). It was a pain to go back into town to get these things.

Glad you enjoyed the view, it is spectacular. It’s a rental house that we recently spent $400,000 on. So, we’re not gonna put a whole lot of money into brand new furniture until hopefully we make enough from Vrbo to invest in that. Please send us information on exactly what needed cleaning? My cleaning crew is very good and I’m not sure what the problem was? Will be very happy to fix it if you let me know. If you had checked in the drawer on the left side of the sink in the bathrooms you would have found a large variety of trial size samples of cleansers, shampoos, make up remover wipes and a few other things.
The first thing we saw when entering the VRBO was the information from the owner. And I quote, “Do not leave doors or windows open. The heating and AC unit are old and will shutdown when overworked. It may or may not be repaired during your stay. Depending on the repairman schedule.”Vacationing during an unusually and extremely hot week, that had us worried as the AC ran almost nonstop. It was also noisy. I slept downstairs and when it turned on or off (with a clunk) it woke me up. The toilet in the downstairs bath had a seat on it that was too small. The beds were not comfortable and we woke up with back aches. There were no measuring cups or cutting boards in the kitchen and only one cookie sheet (which is fine if you don’t plan to make meals there). The screened porch was fantastic! The upper loft area was very nice as well. The location to Murphy was very convenient. The owner had good communication with instructions to find the location.

As you stated you stayed during a very hot week, the air conditioning warning is there because some people want to sit on the porch because it has a fantastic view and they want to keep the doors open so they can hear and watch the TV at the same time. This is stressful on even a brand new unit. The unit has no problems other than being overworked because some people don’t use common sense.
This was one of the best equipped and most tastefully decorated places I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting. If anything, the pictures on the Vrbo website do not do it justice. I found the place via GPS, with no issues. Check in was seamless. The kitchen was very well equipped, and spotless. The covered carport turned out to be a blessing; some rough weather moved in on my second night, and knocked some branches from the trees. It was nice to know my car was safe. When the weather was clear, I was awarded one of the nicest elevated views I’ve ever had. Bear in mind this is no inane assessment…I have been on all seven continents, in 36 countries. The view rivaled that of the terraced rice paddies of the Lhasa region in Thailand, or the view from the top of the volcano on the coast of Bali. It is spectacular, especially in the morning. The sunrise breaking through clouds near the single peak which dominates the eastern horizon is like something out of the Tolkien Trilogy. I can only imagine what it must look like in the fall of the year.Everything else in the house was clean and comfortable; I slept like a baby in the downstairs bed, (and on the couch when I passed out watching movies). I used the washer and dryer, they were as clean and as well maintained as the rest of the appliances. The only regret I had regarding this property was that I couldn’t stay longer than I did.
