Enjoy a quiet peaceful vacation, watching the bird life along the shore as the tide flows in and out. Leave the business and stress behind, and take time to relax and unwind. Acadia National Park and Quoddy Head Lighthouse are both approximately 1 hour drive.

This is a rustic cottage on the banks of a tidal inlet. It was very peaceful. The cabin is what your great grandparents may used 50 yrs ago although it has AC and TV. The bathroom is very small and a large person would have difficulty using it. Two bedrooms- beds pretty comfortable but curtains in doorways, not doors. Very small kitchen/living area. Ok for 2-3 people at most. Few electrical plugs so you may need to unplug one thing to plug in another. Small porch to sit on and small grassy area with a fire pit. The owners have heavy equipment at the front of the property so the initial appearance is not that enticing.

The worse thing about our stay was that it was only 1 night! Comfy cabin in an amazing setting. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. I thought it was a nice touch that the host checked in with us. We will certainly be gong back.

The cabin, especially the bathroom, was VERY small, even smaller than the listing pictures make it appear. Even for just a single night, there really wasn’t adequate space for four of us to stay in this cabin. Trying to maneuver into / out of the bathroom is…an experience.However, much more disappointing than the small space, was the poor communication from the host. I reached out with a question shortly after booking, weeks before check-in, that was completely ignored. After poking again, a few days before check-in, I got a dismissive response that did not address my question at all. On top of that, the directions to the cabin were incorrect. Once we finally were able to find our specific cabin (there are multiple on the property), I had to call the host to get the cabin’s door code since it was not provided in the check-in instructions. While I’ve only stayed at a few dozen other vacation rentals over the years, I’ve never had an experience like this before. I’m still very disappointed by the host’s lack of communication or compassion, and I will look elsewhere when visiting this area in the future.
