What a view! Great location and stunning Villa
We had an awesome 8 days at Villa Maximus. The rooms are all a good size, the kitchen works well and the pool is just great for cooling down. The walk down to the village is a good workout and we even walked home most evenings to help with the excesses of the day. I’m sure we will be back
Thank You for your fantastic review, we are so pleased you had a wonderful holiday at Villa Maximus.
Villa maximus March 19
Just returned from an amazing week at this villa. As soon as you walk into the villa the view is breath taking. The villa was fantastic and all within our party were taken away with it. Although it is on the hill side taxis are very cheap to the town and the supermarkets rarely costing anymore than €4. We would definitely 100% stay there again and would recommend to others. Child friendly accommodation. Thank you for a cracking holiday.
Thank you for such an amazing review we really appreciate it. The Views are second to none from the Terraces which is the 1st thing that we loved about Villa Maximus when we purchased it. Hopefully we will see you again soon.
Unbelievably gorgeous view.
We had a fabulous time in this villa staying six nights. It was truly relaxing. Very easy to get to from the airport and near to everything you need. We had a lovely warm welcome and were very sad to leave. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for such a lovely review we are pleased you enjoyed your stay in Villa Maximus and hope to welcome you again soon.
The apartment really is as good as it looks in the photos. People can be seen walking up the hill to the street below just to get the view that you get from the terrace all day! There is an occasional car below, but apart from that it is unbelievably quiet. Even the fish eagles which circle on the thermals under the cliffs right outside are very quiet.
The walk down to town takes 10 minutes, back up takes 15-20, but 4 people in a taxi costs 5 euros inc tip.
The 2 hour boat trip from the harbour costs 20 euros and you WILL see dolphins and you can swim below the 1000+ ft cliffs ( a bit bracing in January).
Thank You for such a wonderful review, we are so glad you enjoyed your winter sunshine break at Villa Maximus. It really is the best spot on the island the views from the terraces are extraordinary and those eagles are a site to be seen.
The view from the patio was excellent. Not a better one in Los Gigantes
The property was just as described. Yes parking is a bit tight and on a hill, but still a short walk to find a spot. Be sure to look at google earth to ensure you know where the property is in advance, the address does not take you to the #9 front gate of the villa.
Our family of 7 had a wonderful time exploring the island, coming back to the villa at the end of the day was relaxing and peaceful. I was surprised that a free concierge service was included with this property. They helped us arrange New Years reservations and a sailing charter before our arrival on the island. We had a small plumbing problem during our stay, which was corrected very quickly with no disruption to our activities. Be sure to keep all of your food sealed as the island in general has small ants that like surgary food scraps. Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks for offering this great villa as a homeaway rental.
Thank you for such a wonderful review we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the villa.
We enjoyed our stay. The villa is in a stunning location and we would definitely return. Our only complaint would be the bath and hand towels are extremely old and worn and desperately need replacing.
Thank You for your lovely review of our amazing villa. The Location really is amazing and the views from the terraces are Sensational. We replace all our towels every six months fro new and have just replaced the ones in the villa now. Thank you for a super review and we will look forward to seeing you again soon.

Recommended Places to Visit
The Giants – Cliffs of Los Gigantes:
Plunging an impressive 1600 feet into the Atlantic, this curtain of stone lining the northwest corner of Tenerife are absolutely stunning. The best way to see them is by boat, although they're also mighty damned impressive from one of the quayside bars with glass of frosty beer in hand too.
Teide National Park:
No visit to the island is complete without at least a drive through the pine forests to the bizarre lunar landscape of one of Spain's most popular national parks. And of course, once there, you can't miss the big pointy thing jutting into the sky. That's the volcano. Not just any volcano though, Mount Teide is the world's third largest. Take the cable car to the top for a God-like view of the surrounding islands.
Tenerife's very own Shangri-la. This picturesque village cligns precariously to the side of the mountains in the north-west of Tenerife, hidden from the rest of civilisation and looking very much like it did centuries ago. A switchback road corksrews up and down to the the village from Santiago del Teide, so if you're of a nervous disposition you might want to close your eyes (not if you're the driver obviously). Failing that, book one of our Tenerife island tours and let someone else take the strain.
Not a natural attraction admittedly, but still one that shouldn't be missed. Named as one of the best 10 water parks in the world, if you like your thrills and spills wet, you have just got to go to this Thai-themed water park with loads of scream-inducing rides and slides, a gigantic wave pool complete with gold sand beach, and a mini-aquatic park just for kids.
A veritable Noah's Ark of animals, an artificial iceberg complete with snow and penguins and one of the best dolphin shows this side of the Atlantic are to be found amongst the 8,000 palm trees and exotic jungle of Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz. That's not to even mention the bicycle riding parrots, the killer whales and the sharks...or the gorillas, the flamingos and..it's no good, you'll just have to go and see for yourself.
Tenerife is golf mad with courses at Abama a unique game of golf awaits you at this exceptional 18-hole course, a genuine work of art created by Dave Thomas. Fabulous views of the sea and the island of La Gomera await you at all of the holes and you can improve your swing on the practice green (3 holes) or just sit and relax at the Club House.
