This was the perfect property for our family! Beautiful, easy to get to and a central location if you’re wanting to explore Olympic and Mt. Rainier National Parks! The sun comes in early so if you’re not a morning person, you’ll want to sleep downstairs! We loved the beautiful view, family room and gorgeous kitchen! The patio and deck were added bonuses! Would definitely visit again!
The house is definitely unique in shape and style. It has a gorgeous view from the top bedroom. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. Communication with the host was easy and fast. The stairs are steep so be cautious, especially with children; bringing pressure gates came in handy. There is a lovely deck and back yard, we just wish the patio furniture was more recently cleaned so we could have sat out there. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend this house and host.
We really enjoyed our stay at Gnome Gully! The house was very well decorated, open and spacious. The master bedroom (with a king bed) was in an open loft above the living room. There was a queen bed room on the main floor and then a full bedroom in the basement. Each floor had a full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved this house and its location. The only thing we did note was both sets of stairs are very steep. If you are not agile or if you are traveling with children, please be aware of this.
I booked this location for a family event two months ago. Booking was confirmed and the money was processed. I did not receive any communication as was typical and so the day before our vacation I sent the host a communication double checking that the reservation was confirmed. On the day of the reservation, which was the next day. I still had not heard anything yet and so I texted them directly prior to leaving on the plane to fly into Olympia and start our family stay. While on the plane, I happened to log into Wi-Fi and check my text messages and to my surprise, the host had contacted me letting me know that my stay had been overbooked and that it was no longer available, and that my money would be refunded and that they hoped I had good luck in reserving another location for the weekend!! Did I mention it was for adults and that we were literally flying in that day?!? Part of the response was… Well, it’s cold in Olympia right now so not too many visitors so you should be able to hopefully find some accommodations. What?!? So disappointing, and what a terrible way to conduct business. I would suggest that if you do decide to stay here that you immediately contact the host through the phone number given. Apparently they do not check the VRBO messaging.
