Check-In Experience
The host sent the wrong address, causing me to enter the code 20 times at the wrong house. To make matters worse, the host changed the code the night before check-out, leaving me locked out of the house.
Backyard and Outdoor Space
The backyard was overgrown when we arrived, though a gardener cleaned it up after a couple of weeks. Both the pizza oven and BBQ had mice in them, making them unusable, and despite raising the issue, nothing was done. The backyard lights didn’t work, and there were no instructions provided for them or other appliances. A nearby quarry also generated significant noise and dust, which could be a problem for allergy sufferers.
Interior
The living room was disappointing—the TV was far too small for the space, and the couch was extremely uncomfortable. The beds were decent, but the blinds failed to block out light, making it impossible to sleep past sunrise. The bathrooms were adequate, but overall, the interior felt poorly maintained.
Trash and Cleanliness
All trash cans were full when we arrived, and I wasn’t told when trash day was (it’s Tuesday, if you’re wondering).
Positives
The house itself is spacious, and its proximity to Mission Trails Regional Park is convenient.
Final Thoughts
Poor communication, unresolved issues, and being locked out made this a stressful experience. While the size and location have potential, I wouldn’t stay here again.
