Charming house in Gion Eisukeya is located in South Gon area.
Kiyomizu Temple 15 min walk, Kodaiji Temple 10 min and Yasaka Shrine 15 min walk.
It has been full renovared in 2015. Full kitchen, floor heating system and Air-conditioned.

Easy walking access (8-10 minutes) to famous World Heritage site Kiyomizu-dera Temple and other places of interest including Kodaiji Temple and the Gion area famous for the Yasaka shrine, traditional architecture and geiko strolling the streets.
Eisukeya is located off Matsubara St, on a small private lane - intimate location allowing an immersive experience with the local community. Yet it is a mere street away from transport and connection options on Higashiyama-dori.
-Quiet and serene, gentrified neighbourhood,
-5 minute walk to excellent restaurants (traditional Japanese tea-houses, modern cafes, and high-end Japanese / Western). Suggestions and contact numbers also provided.
-2 minute walk to amenities (large supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, butcher)

Train: 10 minute walk to Kiyomizu Gojo Station on the Keihan Line.

Bus:3 minute walk to the Kiyomizu-michi bus-stop on the main road (junction of Higashiyama-dori St and Matsubara-dori St). Bus 206 in the B-line direction originating from Kyoto Station drops you on the same side of the road. Access to Gion and the entire city from this stop, provided by bus lines 202, 206, 207, Raku Express Bus 100 and 80.

Taxi:Approximately ¥1500 from Kyoto station. Instruct the driver to go on Kawabata-dori, before turning right (east) onto Matsubara-dori. Eisukeya is located in a small private lane perpendicular to Matsubara-dori, directly in front of the Happy Rokuhara Fresh Foods Market (on the same lane).

Perfect Location

We loved this place. It’s large and perfectly located. The only thing that could be problematic is the stairs going upstairs. It’s almost like a ladder...it’s steep.

Great guesthouse in a convenient location in Gion district of Kyoto. Easy to walk to temples/shrines, restaurants, shopping and the bus. The grocery store is across the street which made it very easy for our family. The photos are accurate of the apartment. The host answered our texts/emails promptly. We would highly recommend this 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment.
