Welcome to Carolina Dunes Penthouse 703, a luxurious 3-bedroom, 3-bath penthouse condo offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. This elevated retreat features two spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, and an oversized balcony, providing plenty of room for you and your guests to relax and enjoy your Myrtle Beach vacation in style.

The primary bedroom includes a king bed with en-suite bath, while the second bedroom also features a king bed and attached bathroom. The third bedroom offers two twin beds, and the living room includes a sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating larger families or groups. A full-size washer and dryer and luxury linen package are included for convenience, along with 4 beach chairs for guest use.

Overall the property is a little dated and we were not impressed with the cleaning done before we arrived. The location was very good and had great beach access. Also the deck was large and the unit had a great view of the water.

Definitely would recommend this unit, it was very nice. It was clean, and had what we needed. Right on the beach, and a fantastic area. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked for making meals. Washer and dryer right in the kitchen which was nice also. We did laundry most days so we didnt have to do as much when we got home. The balcony was intially closed for repairs when we got there, which we were aware was possible, but was cleared by code enforcement and opened back up which was exciting. They had to replace electrical boxes one day so the power was out, but texted to see if we needed ice or anything else so they were on top of it. We totally get things need handled, and it really was not a big deal, I felt the property handled it fine. The area is great, so much to do. I feel like we could go back again and do something different everyday. The location around the room was peaceful, the beach was not overly crowded and the water was warm. Luxury Beach Rentals kept us in the loop with text messages and were very responsive. Definitely would recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed the large balcony for coffee sipping in the morning and watching the dolphins go by in the afternoon. We really hated to leave and hope to come back again. The condo was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a great stay.

Spacious Room w/ Beautiful View

We enjoyed our stay. The room has huge with beautiful views and had everything we needed. Communication with property manager was good. There was an issue with the building when we arrived which resulted in all the balconies at the property being closed from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Also, a truck was parked in our designated parking spot from the time we arrived until Sunday afternoon. Nothing was done about it despite “towing enforced” signs everywhere in the parking lot. I was also recommended to put a polite note on the truck’s windshield that they were in parked in the wrong spot, which I refused to do as it should not have been my issue to deal with it. On the whole, we were satisfied with the stay.

Needs updating, doors do not shut, wood coming off the doors, rust in the master bathroom wall behind stool and floor. Needs decent doors, to be called penthouse!

The manger was very responsive. The condo has AMAZING views! We stayed a whole month and had to purchase the following items:- Mattress toppers for both king beds. The beds were so hard our hips hurt each morning.- Frying pan- the ones provided the coating was flaking off.- Hand towels for the kitchen. There were only a couple towels and they were cheap ones.-Comforter for both beds- the ones that were there were very thin and scratchy. - Knife set. The ones provided were very poor and would not work.-Bath towels. The ones provided were very cheap. They were very small, and very scratchy. - Rugs for the bedrooms and both bathrooms. There were none provided.If you were only staying a week, these things would not be a big deal. But if staying longer, you may want to bring these items. The location was great! The views were great! The area was safe and quiet for the time of the year we were there. Also, there was min. rugs. There was one small rug near the dining room that had a huge stain on it and very dirty. There was a large area in the spare bedroom that had a hole in the drywall. The trim on the condo was quite beat up as well. The condo was not very clean. The day we got there I spilled my water, and grabbed a towel real quick to mop, and the towel was dirty! At the end of each day our socks were black.BUT, if you are looking for a great view, great area, and a great getaway, and you bring a few things with you. This is definitely the place for you!

The balcony is amazing. The staff on the grounds were courteous and kept the building well maintained. We have stayed in Myrtle Beach before and most places you have a parking garage to deal with. Here you are able to park right by the entrance. It was a huge plus having a washer and dryer in the unit especially with little kids and to clean your beach towels. That was a first for us. The only thing that would make the unit better would be another set of dishes. We are already planning our next trip and can't wait to go back!

Significantly overcharged for Damages

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay during our time at Carolina Dunes. However, they overcharged us for damages that were not entirely our fault. There was previous drywall damage done to the wall and my daughter pressed on it and accidentally opened it up. There was also previous mirror damage in one of the rooms and they charged us for it when we didn't do it. The drywall hole was the size of a golf ball and the mirror was not our fault. The total they charged us was $666. They took financial advantage of us after we were gone and unable to defend ourselves.

We charged you for damages that were cause by your group during your stay. We didn't see the mirror and wall until after you departed which is when we charged your card. You did report the drywall damage that your daughter cause but we still had to repair it agian.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the third time in that 18 months that we have stayed on your property and the first 2 times were great. This time was a little different because no one notified us prior to getting there that there was going to be maintenance being done that was very loud early in the morning and that it would keep me from using my assigned parking spots. We got there after hours to find equipment blocking our parking spots. I called the number on my check in email and was told that was an emergency number. I explained to them the situation and that I didn’t want to get towed for parking in another spot. They told me to just park anywhere and I should be fine. But again reminded me I was calling an emergency number. I never heard from anyone else again about this situation. 1. We should have been notified prior to our arrival about the situation. 2. Someone should have contacted me the next day. 3. There should be an after hour number (non emergency) to handle these situations. Also my father was in another room and they were doing maintenance in the room next to his and he had to listen to that every day waking him early. Again, no notification of that prior to them getting there.

Spacious condo - great beach location

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: loved the location of the condo on the beachthe condo was very spacious and comfortable. We had lots of space which is great for 6 people.kitchen appliances made it feel like I was camping when preparing a meal. stove only had 2 working burners and the ones that did work were slanted which make cooking difficult. only able to cook twice. (used crock pot the second time!)condo wasn't very clean upon our arrival. counters had dried up food on them. fridge door was open so it took over 24 hours for it to cool back down. the seal on the fridge was bad so anything in the front of the fridge wasn't too cold. only the back fridge kept stuff cold. we found items from others stay under beds. dirty mop bucket was left in the master walk in closet so we could only store our suitcases and shoes in that closet.Way too noisy at the building next door which make it not so relaxing. music played all day long starting mid morning and until 10 pm and it was very loud. some times there was a DJ as well and it was very annoying.too many smokers; hardly used the pool because of several groups of smokers claiming their same 'spot' every day at the pool. they took the few umbrellas that were there. We had to leave the pool every time because of smoke.smelled smoke on our patio all the time. we were on the top floor.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with this rental. It turns out the stove burners were just not pushed back in all the way after the cleaners took them out to clean. The owners are replacing this stove with a flat top so this will not be an issue for future guests. We have very high standards for cleaning and have all units inspected after the housekeepers are done. We do not accept anything less than perfect and had this been brought to our attention we would have taken care of it immediately. Reserving seats or tables at the pools is against the rules. Had any of these issues been brought to our attention we would have taken care of them right away. However now knowing about them we are taking action to insure they do not impact a future guests stay.
