We had a great stay here in October. The house was great, exactly as advertised. The host was very responsive and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful cabin, just what we needed for our get away. The host was also very responsive and understanding regarding multiple situations that occurred (from our own doing). Would 100% stay again.

The heat was set at 68 degrees. It was cold in the evenings while home before bed. And the water smell is hard to get over. The cabin itself was beautiful, in a great location. Well equipped.
Overall the stay at Wilderness Retreat was good, with the exception of a few things. There was a terrible smell to the water which made showering a challenge
Two of our children are in college on the west coast and asked for lift tickets for Christmas. We booked this vrbo near Sugarloaf for some fun, quality, family time. It was everything we hoped it would be!
We came to Eustis to hike, but were interrupted by the rain. The cabin rescued the weekend. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. We found everything we needed to enjoy a cozy weekend. The fireplace even added ambiance to our Scrabble game. It was only us and our dogs, but the cabin could have easily held more adults or children. The rain prevented us from enjoying the fire pit and lawn area, but the property was huge and very private. We would definitely return for another trip.

Thank you for the kind review, we would be happy to host you and the fur babies anytime!
Skied Sugarloaf and Saddleback. Nice location for both. House had a very nice sitting area for the number of guests it holds. Well insulated and recently updated. Hard water but Pur filter system in refrigerator provides softer water for drinking. Just is very responsive.
The cabin was adequate for our 5-person, 4-night stay. There could be a few more hooks for hanging clothes in the bedrooms. The water from the faucets smelled and tasted strong, though we all drank it without issue. A dishwasher would be nice, or at least a double kitchen sink to hold a dish drainer. We struggled to get the coffee pot working on the first morning. A manual would have been helpful, or perhaps replace it with one that takes pods. The walk to the lake takes you through a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Would we stay here again? Probably, especially since we now know all its quirks.
5 of us rented this place for a week. We range from 26 to 65 years old. Perfect place for a group of guys to have deer camp. Looking at the original bones and painted over finishes I think we would have preferred it prior to its modern mop n' glow. Nevertheless it worked well for us. The location is perfect for any outdoor endeavor in that area.
Three of us are well over 6 feet tall and low fans and a very low loft sleeping area were tricky. The shower and toilet are in seperate rooms which helped with our group coming in from a day afield and spread out the utility bottleneck.
Beds are 3 queens and an expanding couch. We brought an air mattress and had plenty of room for it in the loft.
In the remodel, outlets and switches have become tricky to find and get used to.
We were the first guest to rent so its safe to say this will only get better with use. Host is very easy to communicate with. I left a few suggestions that might help the next guests.
It's a little upsetting getting a one star review from you as a guest when my camera was stolen by an apparent guest you had stay with you. As well as public signs that were stolen and left on property. I left you a 4 star review because of this incident. I'm not sure how I'm to blame for your guests behaviors and deserve a 1 star.
