If you're looking for a cozy, quiet place to stay, surrounded by nature, Grandma's house is your place! We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very welcoming and available if we needed anything! We'll stay there again!
The house is located at the end of a quiet street within walking distance of Parker Preserve. We enjoyed being able to go walking without having to drive. We saw lots of birds and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Parking is easy. There is a full kitchen and the host was very responsive. The chocolates on the pillows were sweet.Convenient to Carrboro and UNC-Chapel Hill.
This was a perfect house for our weekend visit with our UNC student granddaughter. The location was close to campus. We used it as our base station as we explored the areas for day trips and dining experiences.
Very comfortable and convenient place to stay before an appointment at UNC Hospital. Great communication from Jamie. Looking forward to staying for our next appointment.
The hosts were amazing. Jamie responded to every one of my crazy long texts and all my questions. We met Joe and he was also very nice. We had a visit at UNC Nerology and it was within about 10 minutes. She accommodated all our requests. The cottage was adorable, clean, and comfortable. Nice area. Very quiet. Grandma’s Cottage will be the only place we will stay for future appointments.
Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Grandma’s house while visiting UNC! It’s a beautiful place to stay, and the owners were wonderful!! If you are staying in Chapel Hill, I can’t recommend this Vrbo option high enough!!
A wonderful small home for a quick get away! The property is beautiful and very private feeling. Very clean home just as we expected. Large kitchen - everything we needed to cook all our meals there. We will be back.
Came to visit friends, but now want to return just to hang out!
Our stay at Grandma's house was only for 1 night, but it was fantastic. We LOVED the setting in the woods. Super quiety and laid back. Very restful after a lot of driving. I only wish we could've stayed longer. :-)
Lovely setting close to campus and hospital Large kitchen with lots of counter tops. We were here for a football weekend. There is a fire pit which we did not have time to enjoy. The beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. It was dog friendly and on a future trip we will bring our dogs. It was decorated along the walkway with Halloween decor. So much fun.
It was a perfect, secluded spot for my small family to gather and enjoy each others' company while being close to everything Chapel Hill has to offer. We enjoyed walking by the road leading to the house and I felt completely safe doing this at all hours. The kitchen was will stocked with appliances and utensils, and the wooded view out the window made me happy. There was plenty of easily accessible parking. The host answered all of our questions and was most helpful. My husband said, "Good job" in finding such a nice place for a few days rest.
Me and four other friends came for one night from Wilmington to hear some music , we had the best time ! The hosts worked out a later check out time with us and were great at communicating! They made nice little touches that were and warm and inviting, me and my adult/not adult friends loved the treats ! We would all stay again ! adults friends lived the casnk

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
This review is based on the house/space. The host communicated well. The space did not have a cottage, cozy feel. The house is outdated, with some parts appearing "run down". The house was quite dirty/was not clean and had bugs. The beds were comfortable, but the other aspects of the home made it difficult to rest. With that, we do wish the owners well.
