Everything from start to finish was easy. Owners are friendly, communicative, and helpful. The property was the perfect location - slightly secluded but close to so many things to see and do. We loved it!
First I want to say that the communication with the owners was nothing short of amazing!
Secondly, this property was so precious and inviting! It was apparent that the owners put real thought into the design and functionality of the home. I brought my fur baby and she enjoyed the balcony upstairs! They really thought of everything, and would highly recommend staying here.

Your host
After meeting each other abroad in the Peace Corps, we moved to the DC area around 2011. Needing a break from the city, we started to explore the Shenandoah Valley area and fell in love with it. We enjoy hiking, bike rides, craft beer, sci-fi geekery, and photography.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is located on a quiet 3-acre lot, but less than 20 minutes drive away from Bryce Resort, multiple towns, wineries, parks, and other activities. We highly recommend visiting Woodstock, a charming small town with restaurants/bakeries and boutique stores. Near the town you can stop by Muse Vineyards or Seven Bends State Park located along the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. There are also several grocery / supply stores between the cabin and Woodstock, as well as a produce stand and small market with tasty local produce and treats. Or, you can drive the other direction from the cabin and head to Bryce Resort where they offer year-round activities such as swimming in Lake Laura in the summer or skiing in the winter. For more outdoor activities you can go just 10 minutes away to Wolf Gap Recreation Area, or drive a little farther (~30+ minutes) and enjoy the Shenandoah Caverns, Fort Valley Ranch Trail Rides, or Trout Pond Recreation Area!
We're happy to provide a booklet with the names of local restaurants/stores and outdoor activities for you to visit, and we also suggest using the following resources: -Alltrails, TrailLink and Strava apps for hiking and biking trails. -Shenandoahspiritstrail.com to see local Wineries and Breweries in the area, and their local events. -Musicfest.org to check out the nationally acclaimed Shenandoah Music festival where they have artists visit throughout the summer in an intimate outdoor amphitheater. -Bryceresort.com for all Bryce activities, including Winterfest in March, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Oktoberfest, Special Dinners on the mountain, kids sports camps, winter bonfires, live music, concerts, and more.
