Had a great time, lovely place with a nice hideaway feel! So many helpful amenities like a grill and fire supplies to make it a wonderful camping experience!
Was an absolute great time together with the wife! Is very secluded, great place to stay! She was skeptical at first but by the time we left it was a winner in our book!!
This is a great cabin to rent. Very clean on the inside. Next to a pond, where you can hear frogs and birds. It’s located within 10-15 mins of civilization, if you need supplies or want to see sights. I’d highly recommend.
The frog house was better than expected. Though it is an off grid property, it had all the amenities we needed, from plenty of lights to a charging station for our phone to firewood. It was impeccably clean and the location was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for leaving the place so nice! We are glad you enjoyed.

Cozy and pet friendly. Great location and lights. We thought a few extra plates, utensils, glasses would be useful. We couldn't get the inside burner working. One of the dogs knocked a wine glass over - our apologies.
Dave has a great secluded get away property! The property was stocked with wood for fires, making it perfect for an evening to have drinks and make smores. It is close to many local wineries, making wine tastings even friendlier! The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. If you are looking to glamp but still have the rustic feel of no electric this is the place! This is a creative way to get people out and in tune with nature.
Overall, our impression is that the property was very comfortable as a campsite. The property was very much what we had hoped for -- (mostly) quiet, forest, trails. Thought "Frog House" meant frog sounds all night, but ....
Great little cabin with every little amenity. Dave and JoAnn have several cabins and this one the greatest yet. Bring your cooler, food and drink and everything is there except for bedding. (Queen size with fresh mattress pad). After all, its “Bed and Breakfast” you make both! Lol
We stayed in the frog house for our anniversary weekend. Everything you needed was provided. Dave the host was so helpful and amazing. Was there for anything we needed. Gave us tips on where we should go wine tasting! Definitely allowed us to have the relaxing weekend we were looking for. There are many cabins available by this host and i recommend booking if you are looking for a relaxing off grid quiet place to stay! We plan to come back again soon. No compilations at all when staying with this host ! Such a great weekend

About the host
Hosted by Dave Hopkins
We were born and raised in the Finger Lakes area. We have over half a century of the knowledge of what this area has to offer. Keuka Cabins originally started as a place to spend time with our four children. Our family found joy in the simplicity of a slower pace of life and time to reconnect. We started hosting guests over a decade ago. It quickly became our passion to share our appreciation of nature.
Why they chose this property
Although purchased as a future home site for my wife and I, we soon realized the cost of running electric, running water etc. combined with four kids in college was unrealistic at this time. We have found such little things as pressing your coffee with water heated over open flame, as opposed to your Kuerig machine is a small price to pay for enjoying the peace and quiet. With todays rising costs for getting away from the city we feel this is a perfect retreat for many guests from all over the world.
What makes this property unique
You can drive right by this little paradise in the woods without even knowing its nestled beyond line of sight. Incredibly private and my 'nice doggies welcome' policy make for a nice little get away. Minutes from local wineries, breweries & distilleries. Watkins Glen State Park is the biggest draw to this area and is located 35 minutes away. We are also a few miles away from Keuka Lake, Penn Yan and Hammondsport.
