Tucked away on 9 private acres, The Overlook provides an expansive deck, a luxurious hot tub, and floor-to-ceiling windows, all of which offer impressive long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains (including Seven Sisters Mountain Range and the towering Mt. Mitchell). Located just 5 minutes from downtown Black Mountain and 20 minutes from Asheville, this warm and contemporary retreat strikes the perfect balance between a serene mountain escape and an exciting jumping-off point for exploring Western North Carolina!

• Living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, 55" Smart TV for streaming, gas log fireplace, and sitting area.
• Formal dining area with seating for 6.
• Kitchen with stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, Keurig, and drip-style coffee pot, and access to the garage.
• Main floor deck overlooking breathtaking long-range views with various seating, a picnic table, and a gas grill.
• Lower-level deck with traditional porch swing, rocking chairs, and 8-person hot tub.
• The garage is accessible for up to 2 vehicles. Additional parking is available along the lower level of the home.

• Main floor bedroom with a king-size bed; a full bathroom, with a bathtub and shower combination, can be accessed from the hallway.
• The upper level offers two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with two twin-size beds. A full bathroom, with a walk-in shower, can be accessed from the hallway.
• The lower level provides a primary suite with a king-size bed, gas log fireplace, 55" Smart TV for streaming, and a spacious bathroom with two vanities and a walk-in shower. Note: The woodstove is not usable, but the gas fireplace next to it is.

The location was an easy drive to the Biltmore and Black Mountain is close and has really good food options. We visited Black Mountain for a couple's getaway and it did not disappoint! Our place was fabulous with a phenomenal view. It was spacious and clean. The location was perfect, minutes from the town center. We would love to come back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property! We ended up not cooking but the kitchen was well supplied. Overlook is an accurate name for this house as the entirety of Black Mountain can be seen from the deck.

View and deck were wonderful! Best sunset views! The living area is nice for a group but the lighting is terrible. Very dark and hard to play games at the table. There are two fans that can accommodate a light package. This would be helpful. The house has a stale smoke smell when you enter, especially the downstairs room. Kitchen is well equipped, but small. Hot tub was perfect and had a great view. We never located beach towels for the hot tub. The house is at the top of the mountain and still very close to town. We used the grill, which was nice. We found it very hard to regulate the temp in the house. There were times we needed AC and times we needed heat. We were never able to get cool air in the main floor bedroom. Overall the house is what we needed and we enjoyed it.

Lighting in the living area is important, especially for gathering and playing games, so we’ll certainly relay your suggestion to the homeowner for consideration. We’ll also have our maintenance team address the odor concern right away. While the home does not have central air, it is equipped with 5 mini-split units (one in each bedroom and one in the living room) to help maintain a comfortable temperature year-round. We’ll be sure to take a closer look at those units to ensure everything is functioning as it should. Regarding the beach towels, we’re sorry they were difficult to locate and will make sure their placement in the downstairs closet bathroom is clearer for future stays. We truly appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us continue to improve and provide even more amazing stays for our guests. The home has an amazing view, with a comfortable living room including a great gas fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, a great deck and a hot tub. The location is amazing and the entire house is very clean. The bedrooms are more comparable to that of a three star hotel. There is not central Air. As a frequent renter, I would want to know ahead of time that the bedrooms/bathrooms are not Luxury. That being said, we had a fabulous time and loved all of the common areas.
