It has numerous outdoor activities within 30 minutes if you enjoy hiking, canoe/kayaking, biking, fishing, etc. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. The town offers many great boutiques and antique stores.The cottage is a block from famous homes featured in the movies, Hope Floats and The Tree of Life. You can see the Hope Floats house from the porch! Come unwind and enjoy the small town life!

Quick but Relaxing Stay

My daughter and I stayed on the property to be close by an event located in Bastrop. The neighborhood is quiet with several good restaurant options. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We are looking forward to returning soon!

My best friend and I take a trip every year for our birthdays and we loved this cute little cottage. Easy to get to and close to downtown Smithville. Highly recommend for a fun getaway.

Cute Cottage

This is my sevond time here. The cottage is adorable. Pool and fire pit are very relaxing. Neighborhood is so quiet. It is close to downtown and enjoyable wineries are near by. Grill is very handy. Will definitely stay again.

This property was just as advertised. Comfortable and nice. Communication with Heather was easy and prompt. Street was quite dark so the property can easily be missed at night but the neighborhood is lovely and historic.

This gem is tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. The host is a great communicator and we felt like we were living our best life! Swimming in the private pool at sunset, every amenity and then some at our disposal and restful sleep. We enjoyed great proximity to museums, Austin and the cute town of Smithville. I love this little cottage. Smithville is such a beautiful place to visit. Cottage with pool makes you seem that you are at your own private resort.i always feel that i have had a relaxing vacation.

Great weekend getaway

My 82-year-old mother, my aunt, and I stayed the weekend at this house. It had everything we needed! The only drawback is that my mom could have used some handrails in the bathroom. The house is located in a very quiet and historic neighborhood. The property manager was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. We highly recommend staying there.

Wonderful place to stay.

We wanted to get away for a last minute weekend before school started up again. This was a great little place for my wife and two kids age 8 and 6. We have never spent time in Smithville but we are so glad we did. We will be back not only to Smithville but to this little cottage.

What makes this property unique

We have a black lab named Bear who lives in the main house on the property. She only visits the front yard of the property while guests are staying. Most likely you will not see her, but you may hear some occasional barking in the main house.
